This place is fairly new and Pepper kept asking me about going in and when she finally gave up asking I decided to stop in. Is this another Home Depot or Lowes? No. Kind of. For some reason this place is laid out by the master Ninja of product placement. Looking around it seems like I've never seen anything like it but on close inspection many of the things here are similar or the same as Home Depot or Lowe's. In Menards, the lumber doesn't take up space in the store but uses a pickup in the back, that leaves room for nice displays of all the things you can add to your house. The one thing that I was really impressed with was the service and helpfulness of the employees. They actually seemed happy too. Is that because this place is privately owned? Maybe. Is it because they just opened? Maybe. If you only get one thing here though you need to get the little can of snack mix called "Travel Snacks. Spicy Mix" read more

You will not find a better selection of lighting anywhere. I guarantee it. Well, unless you go to one of those specialty lighting places. But we're not talking about that right now. They have aisles and aisles of chandeliers, flush mount, inside, outside, porch, patio lights. . you name it, it's here. No issues with returns. Employees are all very friendly. I still can't get used to their odd checkout system (I feel strange watching someone else empty the cart on to the conveyor belt.. ) but all in all it's a great place. read more

found everything i was looking for and even got a few ideas for future projects while walking around. Menards has more of a homeowner feel to it unlike Home Depot or Lowes which are fine too but are more suited for the contractors in the overall layout of store. Every employee that i spoke with was very helpful and if they didnt know the answer to my question they didnt hesitate to ask another employee for it , unlike my experience at HD where they told me to go ask the guy over there im busy. i heard they are building a new Menards in Warren at 14 mile and Van Dyke, i hope so since it will be closer to me i could spend every weekend here without a problem read more

Went in to buy some wood for a project got to the checkout and the cashier said I can't find the UPC code...instead of the cashier looking it up my wife went to get another one with a UPC code another associate came over looked up the price it said $3.49 the one my wife brought back scanned at $3.99 and the shelf tag said $2.99 three different prices for the same piece of wood....Come on Menards what's the price rest assured I won't be returning to Menards anytime soon read more

Hubby and I went looking for garbage disposals, nothing else. So I am rating it a 3 because we didn't check the rest of the store. Not many disposals to choose from so we ended up getting somewhere else. read more

What's the use of installing all of these checkout lanes when they build a new building, and never plan on using them??? waited forever to checkout because far from enough checkouts were open. They have a policy about opening more lanes if there are more than a certain # of people in line...and I asked our cashier about it, and she laughed...she said that doesn't happen, but it looks good as a policy on the wall - she said they rarely schedule enough cashiers - which I have found to be the case on several trips into that store. read more

Black Friday. Your ad for a ladder that took up all most half of the page was unavailable. The associate in the area said we never got them along with all of the other stores in the area. How do you advertise a sale item and don't have it? I asked about the ladder at the customer service desk, same story. They also said it was discontinued. You advertised a product to get people in you store and did not have it, poor business practice. You have disclaimers on you fliers that you can change or modify add. I also have disclaimers, I can shop other stores. Happy Holidays read more

I would have given us a five star review, if I could've found an employee in the decking department last time I went. I had to run around and find someone just to be told I have to get a pink slip, pay for it then go pick out the word myself and load it. Not knowing where anything is and not having an employee out there to help this 20 minute trip to Menards turned into three hours. Other than that the other items are usually on sale read more

They're back n forth at this location. The employees are hit or miss and I had an issue awhile back with an order I pre-made.

Went in to buy 4 bathroom sinks for my new build, asked a kid working for help and he said he didn't know about the stuff so he went and asked another guy and he didn't help me, just walked past me, doing other shit and talking to other employees. Come to find out the guy is the assistant manager and runs the bath section. I guess I understand why the prices are so cheap, you sacrifice all customer service to save some money. Warren pipe was super helpful and had great customer service and a nice selection of bath and kitchen sinks and faucets. read more

This location is absolutely horrible! We asked for help in the sink department they went and told someone we needed help. They came back and told us they were helping a customer and would be over after. This guy walked passed us at least 20 times after he was done helping the other customer and didn't say one word to us. Then we went up to a lady she said she would call the assistant manager over and guess what it was the guy that walked passed us all those times. That's not how managers are supposed to act. They definitely need new management. We walked out, we're not about to get help from the assistant manager that kept walking passed us and not saying anything. At least tell us you would be right with us. We also had at least four other workers walk right pass us multiple times. Do not go to this location!!! Corporate needs to do something about this location! read more

This place is running a scam. It's their 11% Off Everything offer. First, it's not at all 11% off - it's an 11% rebate. Oh, and it's not really a rebate, as you don't get 11% back from your purchase, you get a 'store credit'. So, it's really an 11% coupon. Now, just try to get your '11%' Off! Any amount over $50 is mysteriously lost, and even if you do get your 'rebate', it takes up to 8 weeks. Was your item on sale? Sorry, no 'rebate'. Someone should open a class action suit. read more

Whew! They had kidding when you say save money at menards things are super cheap here I'm sure made in China but It will get through the day read more

I go to Menards over 15 times since Covid shut down started. Not once was I required to wear a mask. Now that the state is opening back up this week you are required to wear a mask. I wasted 35 minutes driving there. Go to Lowes. Lowe's is not trying to act like the Covid police. read more

I have been shopping a Menards for a few years now and really appreciate the 11% rebate. However I noticed in the past month some items have almost doubled in price. ie: August 8, 2020 purchased 2x4x12 lumber for $ 5.18 each and 4x8 1/2 inch osb $14.65 per sheet THEN September 7, 2020 same 2x4x12 now $9.67 each and same osb sheet now $25.99. Same SKU numbers for both months. Is this to pay for the 11% rebate?? read more

Had ordered something online back in mid June. Took TWO WEEKS to get an answer if they even received the order. Then to cancel, took four unanswered emails, until finally the store in Olathe was able to complete it. Have shopped at this store previously, and will continue to do so, but NEVER EVER shop online. To say their website and customer service is lacking is an understatement. read more

Just got kicked out of Menards because I didn't wear a mask mind you I was in the store three times last week without a mask and today I got attacked by three different employees telling me to put one on or leave. so you pick days you want to enforce this ??? absolute bullshit.. last time I checked it wasn't a law. this is fucking America free country. oh and also if you have asthma and can't wear a mask they don't care they told me well you cant shop here either. Real nice place NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN. read more

It's ok as far as products go, but the customer service borders on awful. I've been there multiple times this week because of a home Improvement project and can say the only good service is from the cashiers. Employees were on their phones, never asked if I needed help (lighting dept). The people working in the paint department seem to prioritize their own socialization over helping customers. read more

My new go to place for home improvement. Tons of stuff to choose from bigger selection than home depot or Lowe's great selection of tile as well and has just about everything you need in one place. read more

I'm a Marine and served in Vietnam, 01,1969 and was a medical-evacuation 08, 1969 to Great Lakes Naval Hospital. So when I shop at Lowes or Home Depot I have always received a VETERAN 10% discount on my purchases. When I purchased products at Menards and asked for a military veteran discount I was told they don't honor any veteran discounts such as Lowes or Home Depot does. Any veteran that has severed in the our great UNITED STATES military and placed their life on the line for the freedom of us ALL and is not honored such as Lowes and Home Depot does; let me say this, before I get too carried away, I don't think Menards is going to get very much business from me and anyone who will listen to me. I think menards mail in rebate offers are a joke. I've sent in several rebates, never to get the rebate back. The rebates have always been sent on time and I think 1 out of 10 rebates I've sent in I actually get a rebate card back. I'd rather go to home depot or Lowe's. read more

Purchased damaged merchandise today. I was told by a MANAGER that they cannot control how they're shipped. What they CAN control is how the merchandise is handled at the store level. Did no one look at the merchandise before they loaded it in my car? I waited around 25 minutes for my merchandise. UNACCEPTABLE. Also, no military discount? You should be ashamed. On a positive note, the cashier was friendly and professional and the gentleman who helped us yesterday with a different item was attentive and knowledgeable. That's why this is two stars and not one. read more

I visited Menards and i like it better than Lowes or Home Depot because they sell more household goods. You can buy some grocery and clothing items at Menards. The parking in great if you have to load heavy stuff because you can pull up in front. I just don't like the way they have the registers though. You have to pull the cart forward and you walk behind the cashier. Kind of weird way of checking out. read more

Longest lines, slow , don't know what products they carry, terrible location , no good parking if you have a trailer ....

Never order online, the is no free delivery, they do not unload the truck , the company that Menards uses is horrible at both sites. You will be very disappointed with the entire process. read more

I bought a pair of folding doors online from Menards. I am pleased with the product and the price, but, a few weeks after intallation, a plastic part failed, causing one of the doors to fall (they weigh eighty pounds!) and damage the other door. I have had no luck in getting the failed part replaced. read more

Was very disappointed when I arrived with my father who needs a mobility chair and there was no chair to be found. Apparently they only have two carts for that store and only one of the chairs is working and the other one is out of service. I find it unacceptable that a handicap individual was not able to access your store. When I spoke with customer service, they were less than helpful and just replied with "Okay." read more

Very busy place. Sometimes hard to get help but the workers are very professional. They will assist as needed. Thought the Christmas stuff would be 75 percent off by now. Oh welll. read more

I am surprised by all the crybaby veterans who complain about not getting a military discount at Menards. Menards has great prices for everybody, with a huge selection of just about anything you could want for your home. read more

We purchased a Tuscany quartz vanity top from this store, but they could not find a sidesplash for it in the store, which was odd. The top itself is ok, had some scratches that we'll deal with, but there is no address or other company info on the box. The installation pamphlet inside gave a customer service number (again , no adress or company information), who, when you call them, state that they are not the manufacturer or seller of the product and to "call Menards" because the number is wrong. Pretty shady... Are Pace Plantation came in pretty nice tho and the staf is otherwise pretty friendly and helpful. read more

The best prices for home improvement supplies. I shop here all the time because my family and I recently bought some real estate to renovate. I've purchased everthing from a toilet to a new front door. We are there so much we have a favorite cashier. Her name is Brittany and she is a doll. I can be in a terrible mood and her perky attitude will cheer me right up. I drive 20 miles past 2 Home Depots and a Lowes just to shop here. read more

i do a lot of shopping online from local establishments. I purchased a vanity for my business that would take 5 days to come in, and it was shipped to the store. I'm the meantime I was shopping and found one in stock at another store. I never picked up my vanity and went there today to get my money back. First the "manager" wanted to know if I purchased my other vanity from Menards...hmm. She then told me I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee for my special order online item I bought. I had no idea that that was their return policy and I didn't special order anything. I just ordered as I would from lowes or homedepot or SAMs. Then the other manager I spoke with acted like the vanity didn't come from their warehouse but Canada, a third party. I said I was under the impression I bought from Menards and how did this vanity come through customs so fast. He changed his mind so many times on where this vanity came from. I was in a bad mood after dealing with these people..shopping should never put a women in a bad mood. I went there when they first opened and they had nothing I stick so I never went back. I thought maybe I should give them another chance. I HATE MENARDS read more

My greatest passion is fixing up old homes and I have been a loyal Home Depot patron (I sometimes purchase from Lowes, but tend to find better prices at Home Depot) for many years. I was recently introduced to Menard's by a friend who suggested they had more competitive pricing and decided to give them a try. I did find they had excellent prices on exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to make a couple of purchases. Unfortunately, they did have the inventory available at one location so I took some time to research various options at different store locations. After finding what I needed at locations close to me and confirming they had the inventory I made my purchase, only to receive a notification (after the funds had been withdrawn from my account) that the inventory they displayed on line was not accurate and my items were on backorder. Since the order was online I was not provided an option to speak with anyone, so I went through the e-mail contact system to determine how I could obtain the items that are available while I wait for the items on backorder. Unfortunately, I have been going back and forth for 3 hours and still no resolution. I have requested in every message that someone simply call me. I am sure a 5 minute call would resolve the entire matter. I am still waiting. I expect if there are no anomalies with a Menard's order they are a great discount option. Unfortunately, there customer service is really quite poor when things don't go according to plan. Still waiting to find out if they are going to fulfill my request or release my funds so I can purchase product somewhere else. I understand companies are pinched to cut costs, but it would be lovely to speak to a person when situations get a bit sticky (sigh). read more

Do not come to this store in the am!! Only one register open and there are so many in line. They don't call for help either. Then they needed manager approval and the manager just stood there chit chatting. Had to wait 10 minutes just for the manager to approve the sale. read more

Good prices but they REALLY need to work on keeping items in stock. Also if you order anything online and need to return it, there is a 25% restocking fee. read more

Wide variety of products, and sale prices are very good. Huge negatives with customer service systems. I was unable to pay for everything at one register...having to go to "special order desk" to get invoice for a sale item after a 15 mninute wait in line was bad enough.. then not being able to pay for that same item at "special order desk" and having to stand in line for another 20 minutes again was more than inconvenient!!! Further, security wanted to count each of 50 peices of product their own yard operson had loaded into my vehicle was a total waste of time. I saved some mney, but waisted easiy an hour to an hour and a half trying to get through their inconvenient systems. I;d probably go to Home Depot or Lowes 100 times before I return to Menards. read more

the customer service even in a pandemic should be better than what it is. i needed help and asked a cashier who said she would ask her manager. ten minutes later i was still waiting at the end of the aisle. employees with the "courtesy patrol" vest on didn't acknoweldge me nor did anyone else who worked ther---helllo or even can i help you. finally after another 5 minutes and an employee who attempted to help the associate who worked in the dpeartment came and even he didn't have an answer to my problem excpet to say go into the far corner and see if they have what you are looking for. i worked retail in the past and even during times when staffing was low i never not offered help to any customer who i walked past. the kicker is there were 3 employees standing around chit chatting, saw me and never acknowledge me. i have shopped at this menards in the past without any problems and i do not know if this has become the norm with customer service or is it a one time thing. either way customers are who make it possible for them to have a job and would be nice to be treated as though they cared and not make a customer feel like they are a bother read more

I usually go to menards like 2 times a week for odds and ends and what not live near by well me and wife decide we want new flooring and moldings wood and tile etc, I go there today mind you maybe cause in my late 20's not sure standing in wood flooring isle for over 30 mins watched 4 employees walk past and say nothing two of them looked right at me and I heard one go straight to next isle and ask if they needed help now because I knew my wife wanted the floor from the day before I continued to search the whole store for flat bed cart loaded 25 bundles 700$ worth of floor and trims and wobbled it to the counter without a care from anyone obviously my Business is not worth any of there time I'd of walked out but I knew my wife wanted it needless to say I am now going to get my underlaying and molding and new tile from Home Depot or some where to at least get the time of day for someone to at least ask I would have loaded on cart and in truck by myself anyways as always but it's the point just walked past and not asked anything when you see me looking and I make a pretty big purchase I like to go there and I like to save a couple bucks a lot but after today it will probably be Home Depot or lowes for me just for better customer service, a half dozen worker seeing you struggle trying to push a cart with hundreds upon hundreds of pounds on it and don't as if need hand if have been helped no nothing threw whole hour I spent there in same one isle for most part read more
