Clean, well organized store with plenty of parking, but the location is not that easy to find. It's far off the highway and you really have to look for it. They should investigate the signage in front. Employees are knowledgeable and friendly, which is good because if you don't shop there regularly it can be hard to find things due to the expansive layout of the store. There were hardly any houseplants, which is is unusual for a store like this. Their competition has plenty. read more

Don't accept store credit when returning something. My paper credit slip clearly stated $12, but would only ring up for $6 at the register. The cashier had no answer as to what was going on. I didn't have time to stand there and argue over $6, so I left. Completely scammy system. read more

Always find what I need at Menards. It's always in stock 99% of the time, lumber you can buy almost any length size not limited a certain size and then I have to cut it down. You can get a 4,6,8 feet etc. length at Menards but not at Home Depot. Menards Store and parking lot always clean. Plenty of parking well lit if you go at night. Menards associates they are always very helpful. They will take you to the aisle that has the item that you're shopping for instead of pointing where to go. Sometimes offer suggestions on the project you're working on. Have a good return policy and never give you any hassles when returning something. Menards prices are better than Home Depot and Lowe's. You definitely have my business. It's funny though about 15 or 20 years ago. I wouldn't shop anywhere else but Home Depot but now I'm hooked on Menards. Good job Menards keep it up. read more

Dumb rules I bought something and needed to return it. She asked me if I want to put back on my charge or sore credit, it was only $15 so I said just do a store credit because I need to buy some more lumber so I bought $96 worth in some change and I needed to return something back and they gave me half back on a charge and half on a gift card which I think is bullshit. I should've got it all back on my debit because I spent way more over they would not give it to me. I will never shop at the store because of this reason and I will tell other people about their stupid rules. I never had an issue anywhere else. The store is terrible. Now I want to go home and return everything and just buy something with the $15 just so I don't have to come back again and go somewhere else to buy it. I despise businesses like this. read more

Love the selection of home improvement items to include hitting the timeframe where you get 11% back from purchases, read approved items. Staff is always helpful and the store very clean. It is nice to also be able to pick up a few groceries. They carry a line of seasonings and flavorings. Nice to be able to purchase a select number of pet supplies too. I absolutely love Menards! We recently bought a house closer to Chesterfield, and I suggested we check out Menards. We also recently started our business and I wanted to specifically look at the paint aisle for paint, stains, bardware, etc. I was shocked to find a massive store filled with amazing things. We first went to the light area, as it was on the left side of the door. We found light bulbs for an amazing price for the garage on the outside and inside. They had these diamond like ones that work great in a 14ft + garage. We then walked to the back of the store in search of paint items. They have so many different stain and paint options it is insane! They had more than what we had seen at Home Depot and Lowe's and amazing prices. We found wood filler items to fix furniture, stains, poly's, pre-stain conditioner, and waxes for our furniture. We found super awesome and hsedul buckets for $2 medium size and $0.59 for tiny ones (I hold my screws from hardware in them). They had all kinds of paint supplies such as tapes, rollers, tarps, cans, and other paint tools. I did buy some duct tape for $8 a huge stack of them. Everything they had in the paint section was organized so nicely, and they had a lot of employees that actually ask if you need help. I found out we could get paint thinners in massive cans by ordering from the desk. The paint sections is one of my favorites! The other section that I really like a lot ( and they have tons and tons of sections of stuff!) was the lumbar area on the far right back corner of the store. When my husband walked through the other side he almost passed out from excitement. They have such a massive variety. We did go to Home Depot, and we had a struggle finding a particle type of board 12in-18in and they pretty much had none. Menards has an abundant amount even bigger than 18in, they had a lot for reasonable prices. This store is so exciting and I always find something new. Just today, we went to the auto section near the checkout. We found a funnel and fix a flat for our tires. It was easy to find. They also offer rebate on their receipts but I never really do it. I have thought about doing it though. There is a desk at the back near the exit. They have sheets there for you to take to mail in the rebate. This is one of my new favorite stores with tools, storage, plumbing, pet, paint, outdoors, lighting, kitchen, heating and cooling, lumbar, auto, hardware, food, and much more! read more

Second visit to a Menard's now. It's what my husband refers to as the Walmart of Lowe's. It has everything in one spot, even grocery items and dog food here. Could spend a while looking at all of the variety of cabinet door handles here, so much to choose from. Lots of disinfect, hand sanitizer, cleaning products smattered all over the store. read more

Being that Menards is a bit out of our way, we usually have to make it more of a destination rather that a stop 'along the way'. It's one of those places, unlike it's two major competitors that carries a little bit of everything. Sure it has a lot of the same merchandise that the other two stores carry, but oh so much more. I like the area when you first walk in that has the little 'attention grabbers', meaning items that are inexpensive but useful that you can throw in your cart and not think twice about the price. I always find a little something in that section. On my last visit, I purchased an inexpensive thin LED flashlight with a magnet on it. It'll be a stocking stuffer for one of the guys. Also in the front of the store are the cleaning supplies which are abundant and some of the items you don't always find at other local retailers, so that's a draw for me as well. The section of clothing near the cleaning supplies is also worth a walk through. The lighting department has a great selection and again, has merchandise I haven't seen at other retailers. Sometimes you go place to place and see the same ol', same ol', but not here. Their selection gave us ideas we hadn't thought about. I love browsing through the seasonal department because you never know what you'll find. The variety of Christmas toys was also a surprise. Who would have known? Not me, but it was fun to walk through and find a cool Christmas gift for a little one. I also love browsing through the food area.... aisle after aisle. I always manage to find an item or two whether it's snacks, drinks or soup mixes etc. there's something for everyone. In another department, we found a door weather strip that the other two big box stores didn't carry so that really made us happy. The rug selection is another reason to shop here. After exhausting the two big stores and multiple others, we found the perfect area rug to fit our needs. The checkout process is unlike the other stores too. You pull your shopping cart up, they unload it and you bag it. It's definitely a different concept, but that's that's what Menards is.... different! For all this store has to offer, it's worth a visit and it's a good bet that you'll find something that catches your eye or fits your needs. read more

What can I say? Save big money at Menards! That's their slogan. Every time I stop in here I buy something different whether it's a sale item from their newspaper or something I need for the house that has broken down and needs to be replaced or a part to fix and improvise. This store is big with a variety of items just like a Home Depot or Lowe's. They carry laundry detergent, old brand name cleaning supplies, watch and household batteries, at low prices. They also sell pantry items, canned food along with milk, pop in a cooler. I haven't purchased those items but I would check the expiration dates in case. It's always a busy store whether I stop in the morning before I start my day or when I'm on my way home from Roseville and I exit to pick up something last minute or a cleaning supply. I've seen many employees working by stocking shelves. If they are walking in my path of shopping, they do say hello and ask if I need help to find an item. Tonight the mission was to buy a garbage disposal after checking ahead online for price, availability, quality and brand. Previously we checked at Home Depot and Lowe's but did not find something we wanted to replace our 20 + year old antique with the correct horsepower, style and price. We were happy to find what we wanted online and they had 10 in stock at the store, see my photo. Also we have 11% rebate coming back off the sale price of what we paid 85.00. I buy my cleaning and auto supplies here which can be cheaper than Walmart, or Meijer to name my stores. I've bought annual flowers here before for spring and summer and they grew great in my porch pots with no issues. 8 Years ago, I bought 50 bags of recycled "brown rubber mulch" here. It was on sale, very inexpensive price at 3.49 a bag. Then 2 months later another sale plus they had a rebate 1.00 back per bag. Yes I bought 12 more bags to add around in my backyard in a small area. $$ Info: rubber mulch is permanent. It does not fade, does not wash away, does not get eaten by birds or animals. It stays put and the color has lasted already 8 years so it was a great idea, investment and enhanced my front yard with low maintenance. I also bought in 2011, a set of 12 solar landscape lights. They are still working strong, casting a bright white light glow in my flower and bush areas. Check out the lighting department for your future remodel job with your kitchen or bathrooms. They have many brands, styles on DISPLAY to choose from plus ceiling fans too. I continued to be a faithful, happy shopper at this Menards for my MANY monthly needs. I came to Menards because I had some mulch work done in the spring and my landscaper gave me the rebate coupon from Menards to use. It was worth $34 so I figured I could definitely find things to buy for my home - including water softener salt! There is no Menards close to my house so I went to this Chesterfield location. The employees were somewhat helpful directing us to the section of the store to find the main things we were looking for. I got two 50 pound bags of water softener salt, some fabric softener, and a bag of skinny pop popcorn that contained 6 single serving bags of the skinny pop. The Menards stores seem to have just about everything you need for around the house, and then some! The prices seemed pretty much the same as other stores, so I didn't see it as a big price break for driving all that way. I was very disappointed with my Skinny Pop Popcorn because it tasted old and stale. I checked the date on it and it showed an expiration of 03/2021 so it wasn't like it was out of date! It just was such a disappointment and I ended up calling the Skinny Pop Company to let them know. When I left the store an employee asked if I wanted a rebate form and I said "no" because I didn't realize that I had a new rebate item until I got home and looked at my receipt. I was able to login to the Menards website and print off a rebate form. I guess that is how they keep you coming back. My new rebate was for a little over $6. I don't know if I will drive out of my way to go claim my new rebate, but I might keep it in my car in case I ever pass by a Menards. read more

Their chesterfield/new Baltimore General Manager Jeremy, has zero idea how to handle customers. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER SHOP AT MENARDS AGAIN. This store has been around for a few years but I haven't been there until today. I was looking for some D rings. Which I found but then again I also discovered that I could redo my entire house in one trip. That includes grocery shopping. The store is massive and kind of reminds me of what Target did for the department store but Menards has done for hardware stores but at Walmart prices. So in other words if Walmart and Target has a hardware baby Menards would be it. Cashing out was different but I liked the store and will be back. We spent $3,000 for Fusion decking. Once installed (4/7/21), there is a huge color discrepancy between 12' boards and the 16' boards. When I phoned Menards, I was told to send photo and email which I did. Called today (4/13) only to learn no one bothered to open my email. The builder came and put in the last small board last night and stepped in some mud which got on deck. Now none of those foot prints will come off. We are livid. The quality of this decking is horrible. It seems to warp easily and has these odd thread looking things that are throughout the entire board. Looks like sanding that chewed up material. I'm absolutely baffled that big box store of this magnitude could be run so poorly. The staff and management are surprisingly unknowledgeable and rude. They are over priced compared to their competitors and have subpar products. Their store is dirty, their online system is not accurate in terms of what is in store. Meaning, you can purchase something online for in store pick up but the store won't have it. I ordered product to be delivered, they left it hanging halfway out of my garage. They left an enormous 4x16' + double stacked pallet behind for me to dispose of after charging me 254$ for delivery. Some of the product I ordered was broken, damaged, despite coming on the largest pallet I've ever seen for "product safety". Worst part lol when I attempted to get help with this, I have emailed called, done everything I can to try to get some resolution, and I've received zero help! I'm done trying, I'll eat my mistake. I will NEVER patron ANY Menard's after these last few days. As a Veteran I would urge my fellow veterans and anyone else who reads this to save yourself the headache and go to Home Depot or Lowe's. Had never been to Menards before but saw online they had a submersible utility pump that I needed ASAP on Clearance for $34. Drove to this location specifically from Roseville to get it, looked everywhere and couldn't find it. I approached a worker who helped me look who also couldn't find it so he took the next cheapest ($54) and marked it down to $39 for me. I honestly have never had an improvement store do something so nice for me and care that I spent my time getting out there specifically for it. I am amazed at the excellent customer service it is SO HARD to come by. I highly recommend this store! read more

Once you learn where the sections are at you'll like it much more and than your first impression. Dealing with a return now because employees sent up two different types of siding material one employee says bring it back. The delivery guys I told then of the gentleman who said they we're going to pick the return up said we don't do that..? Two different people I spoke to on the phone at Menards told me minutes earlier employees in the store said it would be no problem minutes earlier. Besides this incident I really like the place the employees are pretty knowledgeable. It's also kept quiet clean considering all the traffic. It's definitely a one stop shop! read more

DO NOT BUY LUMBER AT THIS STORE. It took 2 hours to find and purchase what I needed because NO ONE WOULD ASSIST ME! The employees were rude and totally unhelpful. Three skids of 5/8ths plywood were all completely warped and took an hour to find four good pieces. Then there was NO CHECKOUT at the back of the store and had to push all the materials to the front. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE and I will never go back to this particular location. Lowe's and Home Depot are much better and MUCH more customer friendly. read more

We have had problems with every single door that has come from there. Saturday was my 1st visit to Menards. Once inside, I found the store to be huge, with plenty of items to choose from. I made my selection and took it to the cashier for checkout. When I asked about a military discount, I was told it was not available. While I mulled over this information, the cashier started in on a hard sell for an extended warranty, something I rarely buy anyway. I told her I could purchase the same item at the base and would probably do so. I left without buying anything. It was only a couple hundred bucks, but I won't be back. This location is the closest big box hardware store to our local military base, yet there is no military discount offered. Lowes and Home Depot stores in the area will get my business whenever the base exchange can't provide what I want. read more

I visited the store 4 times to finally find 12 clear boards and paid top price for the select grade. I shrink wrapped my order and wrote my name all over it and gave it delivery for delivery. The order consisted of sheet rock and trim boards and the sheet rock arrived but not the boards... Next week the boards were to be delivered and they "forgot" I had to drive back to the store and they couldn't find the boards but they had pulled all bunch of warped boards ... In total I lost about five hours selecting the boards driving in and trying to help a them find my order! Had to wait 33 minutes to get my refund after that! read more

Since it was a discontinued item, I decided to rent the trailer and make the drive. staying overnight in a hotel, to boot. Get there and was told that even though the website showed they have the siding they do not and don't really count inventory. Store manager said he would not assist in getting material even though there was some available from distributor. had to then go and get a refund from customer service taking more of my time. Called corporate and they ONLY reply to concerns via email. I got a lovely email saying they were sending my concerns to the store. Never heard a word back from the store, go figure. I actually really like this store. I needed a couple of things for home repairs and they were reasonably priced and had exactly what I need. I saw a deal on the website for a certain item that it stated was in stock in this store. An employee searched for me and couldn't find any. They offer a great rebate to lower your purchase price and then you find out that it can only be used IN-STORE. If you don't live in one of the few states where they have stores, congratulations, you now have a totally useless piece of paper. They do note the limitation down in the FINE PRINT but most people would never expect their online purchase to be rewarded with an in-store rebate. We went for the first time and purchased about 6 items. The check out girl missed one of my items. I went to the customer service counter after I checked out and asked to pay for the item. The manager told me I had to go wait back in the long line. I was short on time and had to leave the item behind. The manager barley said thank you for my efforts. It was the check out girls fault. With a new home and many projects this spring, I have been to Menard's much more than the average person. Thankfully Menard's is there - it is brand new. The prices are competitive to other big box hardware stores. If not just slightly better. The thing is, you really have to know the prices at other stores to make sure you get the best deal, some of its prices are better while others are much worse. If you choose to do a special order, prepare to wait. They promised me 20 days on 5 boxes of laminate flooring. They arrived in the store 30 days later. I received an email telling me they were in the store and someone would call when they were ready. Never received a phone call. Not a big deal to me but it is good to be prepared. Last week, we were shopping for gutter drainage pipes. They had a 10 foot long pipe but no cutting services. We ended up buying the pipes from Lowes because they would cut them down for us.
