Men in Kilts made a strong first impression. Once the manager arrived, we were impressed with his dress (a kilt of course), professionalism and the clarity with which he discussed the various tasks and challenges. The manager was great, the quote was clear, and we felt confident moving ahead. Then... silence. Weeks of it. Our windows spent most of the summer looking like they were wearing sunglasses. After three weeks with no update, we had to nudge them ourselves, and it still took more than five weeks before the work happened. But when Tyler H arrived, he was a star. Fast, courteous, and impressively efficient -- he tackled the roof, gutters, windows, and skylight like a man on a mission. His work was spotless, and we paid the invoice the same day. In short: slow to schedule, excellent once here. We're satisfied and would hire Men in Kilts again. read more

I needed a front and back deck pressure washed, plus the glass portion of the awning at the back. Both Andrea and Stacey were very responsive, friendly, and professional over email during the whole process. Jason handled the estimate perfectly. Alex and John came out and did a killer job, going above and beyond in so many thoughtful ways. And when there was a bit that needed a second look (though mostly it was a mistake on my part, misunderstanding the contract) Braden handled the last touches fantastically. 100% service guarantee, and 100% satisfied. read more

August 17th 'Robbie' called to say he was on his way to my house and would be there in 15 minutes. He arrived as said. He was very professional and did a great job of cleaning my gutters. There was a lot of debris with plants growing in the gutter. Now clear and good to go for the rainy season. I would highly recommend 'Robbie' from Men in Kilts. Susan in Burnaby read more

The Men in Kilts team did a big job today in North Van and I was thoroughly impressed when I got home. Why? Not only were the gutters washed thoroughly but the trim all around the house was done well. In my view, though, they definitely went above and beyond in cleaning the massive window overhang in the door area which was near the gutters but this was not part of the contracted services so I was impressed with thoroughness of the approach. In addition, they did an excellent job on the roof and let me know that if it was not off in 3 months, they would come have a look at it. Again, speaking to the thoroughness of the approach. If asked, I would definitely recommend them. read more

Very poor post service experience. I would not recommend men in kilts. A window was broken, the gutters were not cleaned even though we paid for it and the owner would not apologize and it took 3 weeks for him to respond to me in the requested method. Pretty brutal after spending over $1000. read more

Contacted their Nanaimo branch. The first off-putting thing was the long delay in even getting anyone to come out to give a quote. A few days before the date they were finally able to come, I got a "reminder" email of the day and time. On the day, no one showed up, no one called and my mid-afternoon (because of their two hour arrival window) was wasted. read more

We had Med in Kilts come clean out our second story gutter. They were very efficient and helpful. They also were patient with my elderly mother, who requested the service. read more

These guys were hired to spray clean the garage for our condo and they did indeed show up wearing kilts --hilarious! It's a gimmick but they did a great job cleaning. At the end of this summer the garage was getting pretty scary with cobwebs and dust. A large spider had spun it's web above the car. It was really creeping me out. After the cleaning my feeling was way more relaxed in the garage and it just seems so much brighter in there now. I swear you could hire these guys for an exterior job and set up some lawn chairs across the street and sell popcorn for the entertainment value. (Especially if ladders are involved). read more

braeden did an excellent job on our house. no spots on the windows. nicely done

Hired Men in Kilts to power wash the driveway and do gutter cleaning. They came 1 hr 20 min late to do the work but they were really hurrying to finish the work and they were trying to leave even the work wasn't done. I have asked them to power wash the driveway again since it wasn't throughout cleaned. But when I came out to check them again, they were gone without telling me. I have called the customer service about this matter but they try to ignore it. They told me they will contact me again but it's been 2 weeks, no response. It was very unpleasant experience with Men in Kilts and would not recommend to anyone. read more

Efficient, friendly and professional. Would have liked a bit more communication with the call centre lady as I had all my service ordered with her, yet when the crew arrived they asked me what was being done. It did not really matter because they seemed adaptable and able to follow through with whatever I had in mind. Will use them again. Thanks! read more

How can you not like men wearing skirts? :) Kidding aside, they did a great job, with professionalism. Great job last year, and this year, and look forward to next year. read more

First time I called MIK and am pleased with the result. I have a small house and so they only send one guy, James. He a great job cleaning the gutters and windows. I had to leave early and couldn't stay for the entire work, but was happy when I got and saw what he had done. Windows squeaky clean and gutters like new, even the ones that are difficult to access. Decent price. Will hire them again. read more

I hired Men in Kilts (Coquitlam) to wash my exterior windows because the outer ledges were really dirty. When I came home from work I found that the windows were washed but not the window sills. I texted the fellow who did the work and asked about it - he said they don't normally wash the sills with the windows. Hard to enjoy a clean window when one has to look over a filthy sill. I was able to wash most of the outer sills myself by hanging out the windows but couldn't reach 2. I texted the fellow again and asked if he could stop by and get those 2 only. He never responded. A couple of days later I got an email from the company asking me to review them online. I clicked the link, but then it said to only review them online if it was a positive experience, otherwise please email them. I did, and they never responded. So I warn future customers, don't expect your sills to be cleaned along with your windows, or for customer service to be as attentive as you might hope. UPDATE: I was contacted by my local Men in Kilts office within hours of writing this review. They apologized that my unanswered email hadn't been forwarded to the right people and refunded my window cleaning. I am therefore charging my review up to 4 stars from 3. read more

They were hired to clean the windows at our small strata. They clean them with brushes that water flows through on the end of very long handles - even for windows 3 floors up. They seem to not use any soap, or very little, and they do not squeegee the windows after they wash them. They left the largest window on my floor dirtier and streakier than it was before they cleaned. Also, they left many very muddy footprints all over my front porch (mud so thick it had to be swept away after it dried). I expected they had a higher level of service than other window cleaners but was very disappointed. I would not hire them again. read more

pretty outrageous pricing for a some workers to show up in a kilt. Five hundred bucks to get your windows cleaned? hmm....nice website though! read more

This is my 3rd year in a row using Men In Kilts. What would take me all day to do, they have it done less than 2 hours and at a great low cost. I am on the early bird call out list, which is the only way to go. My windows and screeens are nice and clean now and ready for the summer! read more

Disorganized, unreliable and unprofessional. Booked a time for an estimate, waited three hours for them to turn up. They never showed. When I called to reschedule, someone did come out, gave me an estimate and told me I would be contacted by the office to schedule an appointment to get the work done. They never called. When I eventually called to book an appointment, I received a time and cleared my schedule. I was contacted within hours to be told that time wouldn't work anymore. Figure if they have this much difficulty with scheduling, I simply can't trust them to do the work. read more

The two fellows that came to wash our windows and power wash our patios were great - friendly, respectful. They did a check and then got right to work. They checked back in when they were done and we did a walk around. They had missed a spot power washing and did it immediately when I pointed it out. This is the third time we've used MIK and we'll definitely be calling them again! read more

The guys from Men In Kilts did a great job of cleaning my eavestroughs this fall. Friendly service, the arrived on time, and cleaned up after themselves. I'd use them again. read more

Contracted to clean the siding of the building. Did not clean after themselves, left mud on my deck and my windows splattered and muddy. I would not have them do any work in the future under any circumstance. read more

Terrific job by the two young fellows who cleaned my gutters last Friday. I really appreciated the fact that the first rep arrived at my door exactly at the appointed time and did a quick re-estimate for me immediately. They did a very thorough job and just in time for the latest downpour!! I do not recall their names, but you probably have that in your records. I would ask you to please pass on my appreciation to them. read more
