We visited Dyer's Burgers, Blues City Cafe, Kings Palace Cafe, Rum Boogie Cafe and A. Schwabs. The tour provided more than ample delicious samples of deep-fried cheeseburgers, milk shakes, ribs, jumbo chicken wings, gumbo and gelato. Taylor also gave us recommendations and suggestions on several additional Beale Street restaurants we did not visit on the Food Tour. To say the least, our stomachs were more than full when the tour ended. I recommend this tour to anyone who visits Menphis. You will not be disappointed.

The bus took us all over town and we got out on three separate occasions to explore. My favorite part was Millionaire's Row, with beautiful historic homes that contain some juicy history. The van is comfortable and it was nice to get back in on a slightly chilly February evening. I imagine this would be great in the summer too when it is a little too hot outside for a walking tour. Easy and convenient meeting location at The Broom Closet (seriously check out the merch here- they've got some great finds!) There is great potential for this space, but the lighting was so harsh, it drowned out the beauty of the Mississippi River and the mosquitoes sent us back inside. The menu prices are very reasonable, but be prepared to pay for parking (you can get a small discount by validating your parking ticket inside the restaurant). Keeping my fingers crossed on this one! I will definitely try BSL again because Robbie was so professional. Perhaps, I will add more stars, if BSL irons out the wrinkles.

We weren't impressed…read more Don't waste your time with this company. I believe this tour company and Blues City Tours are one and the same. I searched online for a hop-on, hop-off city tour and came across this company. It was a July 4th Saturday. We arrived at the Welcome Center on time but we were also supposed to pick up other passengers at different stops. The route did not follow the schedule because we had to pick up passengers. The tour guide was hard to hear, either the microphone wasn't working well or the the bus needed servicing... it was competing with the tour guide as far as loudness. The following places were on the schedule: Ticket Booth/Hard Rock Cafe National Civil Rights Museum/Blues Hall of Fame Rock N' Soul Museum/BB King's Stax Museum Graceland Sun Studios Auto Zone Park/Peabody Hotel Bass Pro Shop (Pyramid) Welcome Center We saw 4 of the places listed above. We got off the bus in Graceland and spent quite some time there. The bus runs every hour and 20 mins but the bus came late, we could've stayed a little longer at Elvis' mansion. We thought we'd have to take Uber back in town. We could've done our own self-guided driving tour. It turned out there were only six of us who booked that day and one of the ladies with us was a tour bus guide herself in New Orleans! She too was disappointed with this company. Paid $63 ($30/per person + fees). Don't waste your $$. I was just glad to learn about The Lorraine Motel where Dr MLK Jr. was shot while standing on a balcony outside his second-floor room. We drove to the museum after the tour. Other than that I didn't learn much from the tour. I'm sorry to say but It was disorganized. Review #1876

THIS IS NOT NARRATED AND NOT A TOUR - WORST USE OF TIME IN MEMPHIS…read more I love hop on and off tours when I visit a new city. You usually get a cliff notes overview of the city and attractions and then you can choose what you might want to go back to spend more time on. Usually the buses are frequent and reliable and guides or audio narrations are informative. THIS WAS NONE OF THAT! The site says buses are supposed to start running at 9:00AM and for some reason this service only run once per hour. My companion and I decided to take our time on breakfast and were at our stop to catch the second bus at 10:00 AM. The sign at the stop said it comes by that location at 15 minutes after the hour so we waited. At 10:25 we tried to call to find out where the bus was but continually got a busy signal. At 10:35 my friend walked up to the booth only to find out that the driver decided to start her day at 10:00AM at Graceland that day. She assured us she would be by our stop at 11:15. We came back to the stop at 11:05 and waited until 11:30 before the driver showed up. The bus was old, small, and smelled strongly of diesel fumes, definitely not the bus pictured in the ad. There were a few other couples on at that point and we started chatting. Some folks thought they were on the "blue line" and others wanted the "green line". When asked, the driver said she was the only driver so she would drop people off wherever they wanted. She definitely did not stick to a predetermined route and there would be no telling when the bus might decide to come back if you actually decided to hop off at an attraction! It soon became clear that there was also no narration and when asked about that the driver indicated that she already did it when she started at 10:00AM!? By this time we had ridden to the Stacks Museum which is in a sketchy area so although we wanted off this nightmare bus that by now had made me nauseous from the fumes we were afraid we might not be able to get back to our hotel. Another couple who though they were on the "blue line" told her they wanted to go to the Civil Rights Museum back toward downtown so when she headed that way we asked to be dropped off back at the Peabody Hotel so we could just get in our car and drive, which is what we would have done in the first place if we knew it was not a tour at all but a sketchy and unreliable shuttle bus. I was at the end of a business trip and I had planned for an afternoon flight so I could take advantage of the morning to get a taste of Memphis before heading home. What was supposed to be an efficient way to experience this city turned into a total disaster that sucked up our day. By the time we got of that crazy train, we only had enough time to drive up to Graceland and take a picture and then head to the airport. An unfortunate experience in what should have been a unique city with a rich and vibrant history.

Box 1416 Southaven, MS 38671 Re: Invoice # 1044 To whom it may concern: On October 26, 2019, four of your Coach buses arrived at Southaven High School at 11:30 am to transport our marching band students to Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood, MS. Our original departure time was 7:15 am, but due to the heavy rain our scheduled time to perform at Northwest Rankin High School was pushed back approximately 4 hours. After all busses where loaded, it was brought to the driver's attention that one of the buses was pouring water from the roof into a section of seats. The driver spoke with the other drivers and then made a phone call. He told us that they where going to be able to switch out the busses at Exit 206. Exit 206 is Grenada, MS. So at least 4 of our students had to ride in seats that where soaked with water while water continued to pour on them for 87.3 miles. The buses were switched out at Grenada. Per one of our Band Directors the 2nd bus had a very bad odor (musky & moldy), and it also had a leak in the roof, not as bad as the first one, but none the less a leak. There was obviously no walk-through check of the bus prior to the picking up of the students. We also had a parent chaperone give us several videos that she took of one of the bus drivers talking on his phone while driving and riding down the middle of the center lane on the route back to Southaven. In our opinion this is a very unsafe practice. Our original estimate with your company was $ 7020.00. A few days before we where to take the trip you came back saying we would have to pay an additional $ 3281.30 because the original itinerary had the trip spilling over into the next day. At that point in time, we decided to pay the extra amount because we were still scheduled to leave at 7:15 in the morning. The busses where used 4 hours less then we originally thought where going to have to be used due to the weather. Our original time to leave was 7:15 am and return at approximately 2:30 am, the revised schedule due to weather was Departure time 11:30 return at approximately 2:45 am. A difference of 4 hours and 15 minutes than we originally thought. Due to the revised itinerary being just barely over the 14 hour billable work day established by your company policy, and the deplorable conditions of at least one of your busses, we are at this time officially requesting a refund in the amount of $3281.30. We feel that this is fair. We understand that you made the effort to switch out the faulty bus, but the replacement was not much better and several of our students had to endure uncomfortable conditions for the remainder of the trip down and the whole trip back. My friend visited me in Memphis, so I took her to Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid…read more The interior has a really cool wilderness theme and feels way more grand and unique than a typical Bass Pro store. We also went up to the observation deck at the top, which was such a fun experience. The view over the city and the Mississippi River was amazing. The only thing I wish is that we had gone at sunset. It would've been even more beautiful. A Must-Visit for friend visiting!

The Pyramid is the only time where I will want to go into a Bass Pro Shop while on a trip. It's so…read moreworth it. Even though it is a typical Bass Pro Shop, they have so much more to offer. They have a sky deck that has an amazing view of Memphis. It only cost 8 dollars for the ride up. Besides the pyramid being a store, it's also a hotel, restaurant, aquarium and more. We loved our time at the pyramid. It is a must while visiting Memphis.
