We only stopped for the night on our journey but I regret not having a full day there to explore. It looks like there's good trails and a nearby Native American site as well. To address other reviews about how bad the area is: yes, it's industrial and yes you drive through an impoverished area, but if you're more upset about how that offends your sensibilities and not upset about the fact that industrial areas are polluting vulnerable neighborhoods and a park that has significant black history then I would sit with that for a while. We also had no issues with any waste water treatment or factory smells - I would imagine that all depends on weather and wind.

It was just a disappointment really. And you know it was if I didn't take pics of our stay. What a shame really to see it being let go. The rangers can only do so much and they were very friendly and helpful.

I feel safe, it is well lit, and there is a ton of room to spread out even on busy days. I love to see the kids playing basketball on the courts or football on the lawn. The process to get these tickets is going through yet another company trying to sell you (Passport to travel). They ask you to send in a voucher with a $4.95 check and then they will send your vocher. The voucher arrives 30 days later with a request of a $100 money order to "reserve" your flight, another 30-45 days. The next step is another $59 per ticket fee to see if the flight is available. The flights are limited and they charge you $200-$300 in service fees. The entire process took months and the flights ended up being more than a regulary booked flight. Don't waist your time or money on either company. They are both scams!
