We requested dinner music and let him choose and he did just exactly what we were thinking! My one request was to keep the dance floor full the whole night and he exceeded my expectations! Our dance floor was full the entire night! He also did a great job making our hall look so good and personable. He made a gobo which was lit on the wall with our names and wedding date and matched our colors for the up-lighting. So many people have told me that our DJ was the best they've ever seen. You are the studio audience so you have to hype your team up and cheer along. You play a few different games just like the ones you watched with your mom on TV when you were homesick from school. The big wheel does not need to be spun that fast. Take it easy. It takes a minute to stop if you push too hard. They don't serve food. However, it's located in a plaza where there are plenty of restaurants to dine in before or after you come. There is a nice, large waiting area where you can buy drinks when arrive or before you leave. They just explain how it all work before you enter the room and you're divided into 2 teams. You have a host and another person who helps with the games/computer stuff... Get here sooner than soon. You'll love it, especially if you have an outgoing personality. If you prefer you can sit int the back and be a quiet supporter. I believe everyone in your party has to pay to get into the room though .

We got married at the Lafayette Grande this past weekend (July 2026) and I truly, truly can't…read morerecommend it enough. If you haven't toured their spaces, please go check it out. I initially found the venue through a comment on a Reddit thread about Metro-Detroit venues and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. As soon as we toured the building and saw the gorgeous 1920s architecture, we knew we'd found the right place. As the building was formerly a Masonic Temple, the craftsmanship and design flourishes in the building were absolutely unmatched compared to anywhere else we looked. We did our rehearsal dinner the night before in The Pontiac Lounge, our ceremony and reception in The Crystal Ballroom, then threw an afterparty in The Speakeasy Lounge downstairs. We had a total of roughly 170 guests, but they have space for a lot more than that if you need it. It was such a fun party and our guests (and vendors!) spoke so highly of the space, the food, the staff and the atmosphere. The entire process was unbelievably smooth. Everything went flawlessly before, during and after. That's a testament to the whole team that made it happen there. From the initial tour, to tastings, to setup and teardown, everyone was so helpful and easy to work with. They execute events with unrivaled professionalism and experience, which in turn, removed a ton of stress from our planning process. A few other perks and great things worth mentioning: -There is plenty of free parking, which is a huge bonus and made the travel logistics very simple. -There are a bunch of cool spots within walking distance in Downtown Pontiac that we used for exterior photos. Lots of great architecture and murals as backdrops. -There are several other gorgeous rooms available in the building, that they could honestly accommodate your wedding in a million different ways. -The food was incredible. -The Crystal Ballroom has beautiful architectural details (insanely cool handcrafted woodwork, trim, etc.). The decor of the room is so good on its own, that we didn't have to bring in a ton of outside decorations. -Our main points of contact were the owners (and it's worth mentioning that this is a family-owned business). You can tell they really love what they do and have a passion for their events, food and historic building. -The new floors in the bar area upstairs are gorgeous. The new chandeliers and work they've done in the Speakeasy is stunning. -On that note, the Speakeasy was a great party space (my wife and I DJ'd the afterparty along with some other musician friends and it was a great way to top off the night). -We did every single thing we wanted at a price point that was right in our budget. Our wedding looked and felt like it cost much, much more than we paid. To Greg, Rob, Ryan, Lauren and the whole team: thank you so much. 10/10 every step of the way. The brothers were all so nice and present throughout the entire process, along with Lauren, always stopping at every table to make sure you have everything you need. I love that they even have the bar open during the testings. The day of my wedding went perfect. They fed everyone so fast, and everyone complimented the food. We provided our own charger plates and this facility even washed them all for us before we went to pick them up the next day. They had the few things we left in an area for us, loading everything in and out was perfect, I just loved it. They really made my wedding day so special. I recommend them to everyone. We toured numerous venues and as soon as we saw this one it was a no brainer. We booked the Crystal Ballroom and it was just so amazing. We loved it. It's also a great venue to have kids.
