By October, 2015, over 20 years, many doctors had me believing that all the health issues were "all…read morein my head". My first visit to Sanctuary Functional Medicine in Franklin, TN, determined it was much more. I flew from MN to TN for that first visit. Dr Potter has been my primary doctor for 11 years. Beyond supplements and minerals, there have only been minor increases and decreases in the medication I was already taking when we started and a natural thyroid medication added due to a thyroidectomy. I was no longer a medical experiment. When I did take a short stint with a neurologist in MN, I ended up in emergency and the hospital on one of the new medications and started losing my eyesight and memory on another one she tried. I was attempting to quality for a DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation). I told the PA at the last visit that I was done with them and would skip surgery. Dr. Potter increased my Lamotrigine 50 mg and I'll live with the ET (Essential Tremors) until something new is discovered other than brain surgery. The last test showed negative on the Lupus. So, now we continue to work on lowering my cholesterol. More dark chocolate and less calories elsewhere sounds like a good option since I've lost 30 pounds (with 30 more left to go). The 960 mile trip for a face-to-face visit once a year, is definitely worth it for me. Thank you, Dr Potter and staff. Patrice D. MN

I felt so hopeless but after I was done with the program I was stable when everyone else wanted to remove or radiate my thyroid or take a medication with horrible side effects. So grateful for him and his team! If you're feeling hopeless too, don't worry - there is healing that can happen

A year ago I wrote a glowing review, but sadly shortly after that, things began to change. What…read morestarted out as a positive medical facility, where I trusted the doctors and staff has changed. Still have no complaints on Dr. Fullwood, or the lab tech, but the nurses and office staff have gone down in quality. To be fair some are fine, but several are very lazy and have attitudes. They don't make referrals or do things the doctor tells them to do, then lie and say they did. Other medical facilities contact them, yet Trinity says they didn't. One time another medical facility contacted them via FAX several times, but got no response. Trinity said we get too many faxes so we don't read them. They don't want to do anything more than see you on your visit. Don't ask questions, don't call, don't ask for records or referrals, they get irritated, and many times just ignore you. Then when they don't call and you call back, they claim they already called you and tell the doctor you're being a problem. If the doctor tells them to get you a referral, it will take months, in the meantime you might just try to get in to whatever doctor you need, because you will have already seen the doctor or had the test by the time they get around to referring you. Then there's the exams. The doctor is good, but they don't even have an EKG machine. Instead they try to use a phone app which never works. If you have to have some small treatment, the nurse may or not be able to do it, and will tell you to go home and do it yourself. Unfortunately this type of medical care is typical for this area, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
