BBQ Brisket Melt, Pizza Melt, Cheese Curds

A coworker mentioned this place just down the street from our work so we stopped in. It was SO good we had to go back again for more lol. The staff was friendly and helpful with the menu choices, quite a few of their sauces are made in house and you can tell!!! I can tell my favorite go to will be their BBQ brisket sandwich! I can say this is a quality "grilled cheese" establishment, you are getting what you pay for, you won't be disappointed and they have something for everyone!

4 cheese grilled cheese with a tomato soup dipper

My mom, wife, and I decided to try this place. My mom favorite food is a good grilled cheese so "why not?" I ordered the patty melt combo with tots, my wife ordered the French dip, and my mom ordered the 4 cheese grilled cheese with a tomato soup dip. The lady at the counter was so polite and explained everything to us. She also came by our table to check on us while we were eating. The food was really good. The tots were out of this world! I'd never had tots like this! The restaurant wasn't very busy and it was clean and comfortable. If I had a negative, it was a little high in price. Our bill before tip was $43 and only one of us had a combo. Other two were just sandwiches and one dipper. We will definitely be back because the food was worth it.

If an ooey gooey, perfectly toasted grilled cheese sandwich sounds like your kind of comfort food, then Melty is definitely worth a stop. Their menu goes well beyond the classic, offering a variety of creative options like the rich four cheese, savory turkey, and more indulgent choices like pulled pork and burnt ends. Whether you're in the mood for something simple or something stacked and hearty, there's a sandwich for you. It's not just about the grilled cheese, either. Melty rounds things out with soups, fresh salads, and a solid selection of fries and tots--perfect sides to complement your meal. And if you've got a sweet tooth, don't skip the milkshakes. They're the ideal way to finish things off. To top it all off, the friendly staff makes the experience even better, adding a welcoming vibe that keeps you coming back.

Gave this place a try this weekend. Its been on my long list of places to try for awhile now. We went in right after 11. Place wasn't busy, just one annoying lady ordering in front of us LOL. We ordered a caprese (whole milk mozzarella, tomatoes, pesto and balsamic glaze, on parmesan crusted bread) and brisket (brisket, pepper jack, cheddar, caramelized onions, and sweet baby rays bbq sauce) grilled cheese. One we made a combo with tots and a drink. The idea was to share with each other. I can't eat a ton of food so no need for two combos. We were offered a sauce for each sandwich and one for the tots. They make all their own sauces so we went with the melty, fry and bam sauces. The caprese was the best of the two. It was SO good! The brisket was okay.. it was good but not amazing like the caprese. The brisket wasn't the best quality in our opinion. Wont be ordering that one again. The tots were standard tots but good. The sauces were all really tasty. Melty sauce was my daughters favorite. I can't really explain it but it was good. The fry sauce was your standard fry sauce. The bam was a sweet and spicy sauce but not too spicy. I liked all three of them and would order them all again. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The place was clean! Like every single empty table was clean. And when people left, someone came right over and cleaned the table. Maybe if they were really busy it would be a different story. The cost was pretty standard for fast casual. $28 in total. If you appreciate great food, good service and a clean restaurant you will love this place. Will be returning soon!

Trying something different this weekend and Melty was on the radar. Their menu is a lot more extensive than I'd imagined it would be. I've been to "grilled cheese shops" in the past and they were very focused, maybe branching out to tomato soup as a side, but Melty has a lot more. In addition to fries, tots, rings and curds (and more) as sides, they've got shakes, soups, salads and even desserts. An interesting twist is the dipping sauces. I guess, much like some people dip their burgers in ketchup as they're eating them, you can dip your Melty sandwich in your choice of sauce: Melty, Bam! (Spicy), Fry, marinara sauces or jalapeño jelly are available in addition to ketchup and ranch, and maybe a few others that I can't recall at the moment. Suffice it to say that there are plenty of options to choose from. I didn't get a great photo of the menu due to the glare from the sun, but I caught most of the sandwiches. I tried the special: a Reuben that was well executed with a nice toast on the bread and warm kraut to accompany a lean corned beef. I also had tots, which were good and tasted like maybe some powdered ranch dressing had been sprinkled on them. They were crunchy and not greasy at all. The tea (both sweet and unsweetened are available) tasted fresh and that's a big deal to me. The people were friendly and seemed to genuinely care that we were happy with our orders. The restaurant (order at the counter, get a number and seat yourself) is on the smaller side, but was not crowded and the music was not loud. I enjoyed my Reuben and I'll go back to try some other sandwiches.

Let's get melty! Let's be honest, I'm only here for the cheese (sign called me out). If you follow my Yelp reviews, you know I'm a cheese fanatic. I've had this location bookmarked after seeing a Yelp Elite review and seeing as a Trending Business, and it made for a perfect lowkey date night when my boyfriend was visiting me (long distance). The cashier greeted us immediately, and asked if it was our first time visiting which we said yes. They offered some recommendations, and allowed us to take in the menu as there are many choices which left us with choice paralysis. Ultimately, we decided on the Caprese + Tater Tots with Tomato Basil Dipper & The Reuben (March Special) + Cheese Curds with Melty Sauce. With drinks being a Dr Pepper and an Oreo Milk Shake. - Caprese + Tater Tots with Tomato Basil Dipper: The tomatoes are unfortunately a small slice, but still overall has a great flavor. The bread is incredibly toasty making a perfect melt. Tater tots are tater tots, but what makes it is the Tomato Basil Dipper. A true classic and one of my favorite meal combinations - grilled cheese and tomato soup. Yum! - The Reuben (March Special) + Cheese Curds with Melty Sauce: Loved the heartiness of the rye bread, though we did wish the sauerkraut had a stronger ferment and flavor. Though, I know you don't typically have a good sauerkraut unless at a German restaurant. The corned beef and other ingredients were very delicious and complimented one another. For a strong side, the cheese curds have an amazing cheese pull and flavor. Definitely order again if we see on the menu (perhaps seasonal yearly for St Paddy's Day). - Oreo Milk Shake: My boyfriend said this was a great shake, as I didn't try as I have a peanut/treenut allergy. Overall, we were very impressed. A great fast, casual spot that I'll definitely return as I love grilled cheese sandwiches and intrigued to try more of the menu.

What I ordered versus what I got. Just another fast food place that overcharges and sends you home with garbage.

Hey now my YELPies... I was in the mood for a grilled cheese and I went YELP'n for it. Well... I found this little spot in a strip mall that promised to satiate my craving . This Bbq Brisket Melt absolutely delicious! The flavor is everything and it had just the right amount of cheese and caramelize onions to MELTY your YELP'n heart! The customer service was great and full of smiles and appreciation. You know how I am about customer service and I give them a 10!!! The store is clean and bright and has plenty of seating if you want to dine in. I say, if you crave a grilled cheese with a bit of an adventure, make your YELP'n way on over to MELTY!!

Turkey Bacon - plenty of meat and cheese
    Christine B.

We visited Melty today and were greeted in a warm and friendly fashion as we walked in. They have a lot of appealingly cheesy options on the menu - I went with the Turkey Bacon with fries while my husband ordered the Reuben with tots. Our food came out quickly and was hot and well, melty! I liked the turkey bacon and thought the havarti added an extra layer of flavor. I'd call the fries average but thought they held a slight edge over the tots. They offer a large variety of dipping sauces and allow you to choose two. They run from the standard ranch or ketchup to spicier ones like jalapeño jelly or chipotle mayo. I'd go back just to try other sandwiches if I was in the mood for the grilled cheese/meat style that they do. And I was very impressed by their welcoming atmosphere.

My melty burger combo (sandwich, fries and drink) was served hot, fresh and with a smile just five minutes after I ordered at the counter. The sandwich was very good, with a perfectly cooked beef patty. I also enjoyed the nice, crunchy, meaty fries. I liked the friendly, helpful service and the clean, new dining area. The menu included melt sandwiches, ten side options and kids' meals. The price was somewhat high, but otherwise I had a good experience.

Four cheese grilled cheese and Tomato Basil Bowl

A restaurant that specializes in grilled cheese, what a great idea! I love a good grilled cheese with soup, so I decided to give this place a try. I had the four cheese grilled cheese with a cup of tomato soup. The grilled cheese was she show stopper. The blend of different cheeses with the perfectly grilled crust was a five star grilled cheese. The tomato soup wasn't the best I've had, but it wasn't bad either. I'd give the soup an average rating. However, when you combine the grilled cheese with the soup, it's definitely worth it. The prices were about what you'd expect anymore when eating out and the service was great. It did take a little bit to get my food, but the grilled cheese was made fresh to order and the place was packed when I went. This will Be a repeat restaurant for me.

Stopped here for a quick lunch while doing some Sunday shopping. Not sure if it was the manager taking our order but the service was super friendly and attentive. Food was good, the fries were delicious and they have a lot of yummy sauces you can choose from (my favorite was the fry sauce). Will be back again if we're ever in Mesa!

A bit too corporate feel of a restaurant for me. The food tasted more manufactured than freshly prepared in a kitchen. I saw this on Yelp, it had great reviews and is a new location. I had assumed it was a mom and pop type place, not a chain. My bad, we all know what happens when you assume. I had the bbq melty and the bbq sauce kind of overpowered everything and it had that kind of chemical food aftertaste. The tater tots needed a little more time in the oven to crisp up. I will say the people who work here are amazing, wonderful customer experience. It was just a bit too corporate-chain for my taste.
