For those who appreciate an excellent value, their Happy Hour is a must. Running Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM, it features half-priced cheese and chocolate fondue alongside various other stellar specials. The cheese course sets a remarkably high bar. Though there are many delectable options to choose from the Wisconsin Cheddar seems to be a family favorite. It comes with dippers that include bread, fruit, vegetables, and pretzels. For the entree portion, preparation styles dictate your culinary journey. Utilizing the tabletop grill is the superior method for locking in robust, marinated flavors. The concept of this place is both fascinating and chaotic. First, let me say that I truly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere is pretty good, including our very friendly server. I had been once before to a previous location and remember thinking to myself "this was a lot but once you get the hang of it it would be more enjoyable." We did the 4-Course option that includes a fondue, salad, entree, and chocolate fondue. This is probably the most straightforward option, and I would say I recommend it since altogether it's not a ton of food, so the amount is pretty approachable... HOWEVER I don't remember how long our Melting Pot KC experience was and we dined at this location with it being pretty new so maybe this is not typical, but our experience was OVER THREE HOURS to get all four courses. Again, I did enjoy the food and appreciate our server and I'm optimistic that the timing will improve as they get more experienced. read more

This was not our first time eating at a MP restaurant but it is the first here at home! They opened in November and we were very excited. We were celebrating my wife's birthday so it was her parents and us. We did the 4 course with all the goodies. Our favorite fondue was the fiesta, we had 3 different salads ( the bacon and blue is really nice) two different cooking style pots, a bouillon and an oil. The oil was our favorite. We had steak, shrimp, chicken and salmon. For desert we had the Yin and Yang and the Flaming Turtle. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable with some great recommendations. This is on the top floor of a new building so there is outdoor dining weather permitting. We enjoyed our meal very much and we will be back. read more

What a great meal and an all around amazing experience! This was our first time eating at the Melting Pot and not only was everything delicious, it was fun. This Melting Pot location still needs a few months to cook, and mature their service experience. So, I don't recommend that you visit and try it out until spring 2026. By most characteristics, it's a typcial melting pot menu and food experience. One negative on the food was that there were no vegetables served with the entrees, as they typically are. The proteins and other elements of the food experience were a good portion. Service notes The waiter and other service professionals, including the host, were very warm, chatty, and friendly. We failed to receive waters for the table after three requests, including after the first round of drink orders, and finally got water for the table 1.5 hours after being seated. A birthday in our party was acknowledged by the host when we arrived, but never recognized by the server or any other elements of the service. Edit: Our group ordered one pacific rim entree and two Land and Sea entrees, and received three land and sea entrees instead. The decor for the location is a little cold and industrial. Other than the cooktops, the restaurant could be anything if you didn't know it was the melting pot so there was no particular character to the location other than some large print local landmarks on the wall. During the daylight, I think the view from the outside windows will be great so a nice feature when the sunset runs later, as this is the top floor (3rd?) of the building. In conclusion: the food is what you'd expect from a Melting Pot experience, but with the current level of service, you're better off with a different experience elsewhere for now. read more

Dined here on a Thursday night with four friends. We had a reservation for 6:00. Our server came and got drink orders, then did not return until 7:00, after I asked the hostess if we could order our food. Things went downhill from there. We had to flag down another server to ask about our meat portion. A manager came over and apologized, but all he did was give us a coupon for free cheese fondue at another visit IF you spend $75. At 8 our waitress finally reappeared to bring out the wrong chocolate then acted rude about it when we pointed it out. Our waters were never refilled, we had to flag down another waitress to get our water refilled at 8:00. At 8:45 I asked for the check. It still wasn't out at 9:10 so I asked to speak to a manager. A different manager came over and said our waitress was trying to figure out how to split it 5 ways. The manager doesn't know how to split a bill? We didn't get out of there until 9:30. The food was actually good but the service was horrible. Even the other waitress was getting frustrated with the way we were being treated. There was a table of three near us that were having the same problem. It was 3.5 hours and a $77 bill for each of us. There was no need for the delay and chaos happening when we were there. There were only a couple of other tables. Disappointed because it is a fun concept. read more

Atrocious service! Got seated and immediately saw that about half the utensils were dirty (food remnants still on) instead of just exchanging them the server first argued that they are clean, saying they were just not stainless plated. She then swapped them with another table's utensils (yup put the dirty ones out there for someone else to use), and gave use 2 clean sets and one more dirty set. Maybe now she was mad at us because we were left sitting wondering what's up, just no service for easily 15 minutes. When she did come to the table it was such a crappy attitude. Our whole table was just not enjoying the experience at this point. When she brought our plates out I saw her scraping dirt off a plate with her fingernail, but by now I just wanted this over with so kept my mouth shut and took that plate for myself. Service got worse and worse to the point that one of our party went and quietly complained to the manager. This was followed by our server coming back and loudly announcing "apparently you had a problem with something, here's a voucher for a dessert on your next visit", it was as if she was now trying to embarrass us. Service was so poor that 1/3 of the stock boiled out our pots before we got food to cook in them, again she argued that we were imagining this. I cannot think when last I had such a horrible dining experience. This was my first time in any Melting Pot restaurant and most certainly my very last time! read more

Went once, and did the full course meal for 2. Spent almost $200. The atmosphere is excellent. Service is excellent. Staff is excellent. Desert was very good. What we didn't like: - Fondue cheese was 'meh. - Boiling my meal. Raw meats and shellfish. I get it. But when you're catering to special occasions in people's lives, Why do I /we need to use a phone to scan a QR code on date with my wife to get Cooking times? Leave a card on the table! Aren't we supposed to 'disconnect' from devices for a little connection time? Trying to match the correct flavor of the boils to the meat selection is a crap shoot. Flavors were off. I accidentally bit into raw meat (both duck and steak) I thought was finished. You are essentially saying to guest - you're the 'chef'. If there's no chef - where's that $150K salary going? Make a well defined selection for your guests of best match entrees combined with a perfect boil. Don't make the guests figure it out and risk disappointment. Another question: Who's making sure HAACP guidelines are followed and cross-contamination for raw veggies, fruits, seafoods, poultries, beef etc, are isolated and maintained 'separate ' before table service? I guess I shouldn't have expected more, when I was doing the cooking, and paying heavily for it. We actually left feeling a little gross staring at all the raw meat. Best of luck. Nice idea. We had such a great time at The Melting Pot for happy hour! The whipped sunshine lemonade cocktail was delicious, the perfect balance of sweet and citrusy, and the whipped cream on top made it feel extra special. Johnny was a fantastic server. He was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. It's clear he truly cares about providing excellent service. The service was great, the food was not! Nothing on the trays for dipping was fresh ; fruit, bread, veges, cake-- nothing. The filet , which we grilled ourselves at the table, was tasteless and extremely tough. The sauces were too thick and , again, tasteless. The dark chocolate fondue was good, however the dipping cakes and fruit were way below expectations. Lunch for 2 with one cocktail came to $130.00 ( with tip). Such a fun evening at the Melting Pot celebrating my boyfriends birthday on 3/27. Our server, Lex, was amazing. I had been concerned prior to coming as I had heard the time between courses was long. Lex, inquired about our timing preference and our 4 course meal took about 1 1/2 hours. She explained the various course options, checked in while we were enjoying each course to see if everything was good or if we needed anything. She even laughed at all my boyfriends jokes. The food was delish and during dessert, the photographer came and snapped our photo (I pre-requested the photo with frame option). Photo came in a nice frame and is a nice reminder of a fun evening.
