Amazing experience, I've never enjoyed eating crab as much as I did here....they crack the legs/claws for you!

My husband and come to Eureka Springs every year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We never leave town without a trip to the Stone House. The wine selection is amazing but we always seem to end up with our glass of port. We also get their largest charcuterie board- a real feast. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Everything about it is top notch- wine, food, service, and ambiance. We have also met some wonderful people which just adds to the whole experience. It is a real treat we look forward to every year. read more

We went on a Friday night, and we were able to be seated right away. It was very cozy and overall a really great experience. We ordered the connoisseur charcuterie board, and it was delicious! Negative stars!!! Vile, verbally abusive humans. We were cussed at and flipped off by an enraged Rob because we had soda with us outside while we waited for an inside table (my friend cannot drink alcohol for medical reasons and they do not offer soda). There are no signs stating outside beverages are prohibited. Both Rob and Amanda were incredibly rude, uncouth and downright disgusting. With their ugly attitudes and mouths, I am glad we never even tried their food. We walked across the street to Pied Piper. As long time residents, we wonder how they even stay in business. We really liked this place! Excellent selection of wines to choose from (including lots of pours by the glass), nice patio, super-nice service (even when they got slammed with some big groups walking in), and creative meat and cheese boards. It's definitely worth a stop, though check their Facebook for Winter hours that are a bit more limited. I liked the fondue a lot, but my dining companion wasn't too into the particular combination of cheeses. It was interesting to try different bits of veggies and fruit to see which ones worked best with the flavors. The charcuterie board was a winner for everyone, though we probably would have just ordered the "Connoisseur" from the start had we known we'd be sticking around for awhile. The fondue + the charcuterie were more than enough for dinner for two people though. Would definitely be on the list of places to stop in again. read more

Shocking rude behavior by the staff. Stunned. Surreal. I feel sick as a result. I had a small little espresso sized coffee in my hand when I came to meet my friends. I was aggressively told in a very unfriendly way, the instant I walked in the door, "no outside drinks allowed." I tried to say "can I let my friends know I'm here then I'll come back and finish it outside?" And I was interrupted again, "no outside drinks allowed!" All Aggressive and angry. Why not say it nicely??? I think she said it like 4 times to me like this with the harsh tone. So I went outside to finish the small coffee on front porch, which was completely empty, which I thought would be ok. The the waitress's aggressively came up to me and says "you need to slam that red wine before I take it!!!l" I'm very confused (this is surreal at this point) and I say, "it's just a little thing of coffee." (I sincerely just needed a coffee for being so tired) And I tried to tell her I thought it'd be ok to drink it outside before I came in to join my friends, but I wasn't able to finish my sentence because I was interrupted with "you need to get the f&$k out of here... then a man comes out and screams at me "get the f&$k out!!! Have a happy F&@king 4th of July!" What?!!!!' For real? I was so baffled and confused and frazzled and hurt! The nicest people ever were in there waiting on me to join them and they all had to leave due to this weird scene by these very strange and aggressive people.. I came there with nothing but happiness and positive energy to share, and that happened????!!! What is wrong with these people?' Why not be kind? 99% of everyone else in this town seem to be. read more

While researching restaurants prior to our anniversary trip to Eureka Springs last weekend, I stumbled across The Stone House on Yelp and was very excited due to it's high rating and wonderful reviews. I knew ahead of time this was not a typical lunch place, but a bar that serves meat and cheese trays. I thought that would be a nice change from our normal, so I penciled this one in for our Saturday. The bar is very small, but there is ample outdoor seating so take advantage of it if the weather is good. They have a very nice wine list, and the EOS moscato I chose was absolutely delicious. My husband got one of the organic beers he's never heard of, and he enjoyed it as well. As for the charcuterie, we chose the Cosmopolitan. This tray had four different cheeses, loaf of crusty bread, a small tuft of deli meat (ham, I believe), olives, balsamic, peanuts, pesto-type spread (could have been a tapenade), wildflower honey, and loaded with cut veggies and fruits. It really was a lot of food IF you were interested mostly in the veggies and fruits. If you were interested in the meat and cheese, wellll ... you'd be disappointed. We did get full. The bread was warm and good, the pesto spread was great, the honey was out of this world delicious, and we had fun making little "sandwiches" out of the items on the tray. But was it worth the $39 price we paid for it? Sadly, I have to say not really. I felt like all the empty spaces on the tray were filled up with a sprig of grapes. I feel bad because I did not have the same experience as the other reviewers, but maybe it was just a case of me expecting too much. We went there primarily for the food, but if you're a wine connoisseur you will probably enjoy this a lot more. Three stars for an A-OK place. read more

We have been coming to eureka springs for years and unfortunately just found this treasure. Easily the best wine bar we have ever experienced. Our waiter was so friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us a fantastic selection of wine choices to pair with the cheeses we selected. Later two other members of the staff came by to check on us. Both were owners. The restaurant was stunning inside with the rock walls and cherry wood. As the best testament to the Stone House, we are going back again tonight. read more

We never go to Eureka without stoping at the Stone house. My only complaint is this isn't exactly restaurant. They serve amazing beautiful appetizer trays and have a very we'll rounded wine list. Don't go when your starving or have the kids with you. This place looks like it could be a little pretensions, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. The staff is gracious and pleasant and cater to the seasoned wine buff and novice alike. read more

I absolutely love Stone House! We've been several times in our travels to Eureka Springs and stopped by on a recent visit. Their wine selection is fantastic and very reasonably priced. The cheese and charcuterie plate for $49 was plenty for our table of 4... lots of great selections on it. The atmosphere in this place can't be beat! Nice and dark with a perfect blend of candle light to set the mood. Great music and very unique artwork make this the perfect stop in my book for some wine and conversation! read more

This was our splurge stop in Eureka Springs. They have a great patio that overlooks the main street, but sits up enough that you don't get the hustle and bustle in your face. The menu is small...just a handful of meat and cheese plates. But that's all you need to go with your wine! We got the Italian Job, with a good variety of meats, cheeses, bread and olives. This place is an eclectic, funky, queer and dog friendly establishment. The craft beer selection for a wine bar is quite expansive. The wine is divine especially considering they offer a flight. Here's a fun lesson: EVERYTHING in Eureka Springs stops serving food at 9pm, even on Saturday. So when you accidentally fall asleep on the couch in your rental cabin after a long day and wake up after 8pm, you're basically screwed. Until you find the adorable wine bar! That serves cheese plates until 10pm! So if that wasn't enough to win me over, everything else about Stone House was. I don't understand this place purely for the fact that it doesn't seem to belong in this town at. all. The building is beautiful; original stone walls, refinished (but still roughed up) wood floors, beautiful woodwork on the ceiling and bar. It's dark and cozy and has little clusters of tables on two floors, as well as a patio overlooking Main Street. The staff was so nice and the owners came over several times. Nice selection of wines (I had a great organic chardonnay) and several meat and cheese plates to choose from. Granted this wouldn't be a meal for most people, but when you're the type who probably would eat bread, cheese and wine for every meal if it wasn't a terrible idea, this is heaven. We had the Brie plate and I would consider it to be large and super worth the money, especially compared to the cheese plates I'm used to at wine bars in St. Louis. We did have a late lunch so we weren't as hungry as we might otherwise have been, but it was ample food for two smallish people. Definitely the perfect spot to come to start an evening or to cap it off! read more

Excellent light dinner after traveling all day. Wine, cheese fondue, charcuterie platter, fresh made bread, and chocolate truffles. Doesn't Get better. Our group of four girls shared the Fondue Pot which came with fresh fruits and vegetables. We also shared The Connoisseur Charcuterie Platter. The food was great as was the wine. Service was great. This is not the place to dine if you're really hungry or want a full meal. It was perfect for us as we didn't really want a lot of food. It was perfect! read more

I love this place would almost drive 4 hours just to eat drink and be merry here then drive home. We stumbled on to Stone House on accident on a weekend getaway. My husband is a cheeseburger kinda guy and after asking for a recommendations from our server the gouda cheese plate paired with a wonderful red wine was just great. My husband and I have a new found respect for wonderful cheese and wine. We almost ordered another. The menu was kinda unknown terriority for us (not that easy to read) but we ask for help. We went back on Sunday but they weren't open bummer! They may be open now on Sundays not sure, and would really like a dinner or lunch menu or maybe a couple of specials for people that are famished. read more

We thought the Stone House was a restaurant, but it is really not. It was listed as such on Yelp and other web sites. It is a wine and cheese bar. Having said that, everything was great. The cheese is delicious - the platters are very large, so this is not an appetizer portion unless you are with a very large group. We had 3 people and ordered 2 platters - it was more than enough food for all of us and we were quite full at the end. Wine selection is very good. Service was also great! The Stone House is small and intimate, set up as a lounge. We really enjoyed it! read more

This was a great find! I love a good meat and cheese platter. We ordered the largest platter. It came with 2 meats and 4 cheeses plus sauces and veggies. All of the veggies were seasoned, which was a nice touch. We also ordered their dessert cheese plate. The cakes on the plate we're very moist! The chocolate goat cheese was to die for! Lytego (sorry if this is spelled incorrectly) was out server. He was very engaging and helpful. He constantly checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Such a great experience.
