This is was by far my favorite hangout place in town. We'd done a lot of walking over the course of two days, had seen most of the shops and galleries, and just wanted a place to relax and enjoy some time together. Considering a lot of the bars in town allow smoking inside, we felt like our options were somewhat limited. This place seemed like it was right up our alley... quiet, nice outdoor patio, and not based entirely around stuffing our faces the entire time. We tried to sit outside, but the weather just wasn't cooperating and it was a little too cold for us. So we went inside to their upstairs lounge area and made ourselves comfy on the leather chairs in the corner. It wasn't very busy, so it was pretty quiet throughout the whole place. But we found some trivia cards on the table next to us and tested our wine knowledge. We really enjoyed having a place to sit and relax while we had a few drinks. The waitress was very attentive and the bartender came by and talked with us, explaining how the concept of the entire place was her (waitress's) idea, and we learned that they were actually the owners as well. He even brought us their photo album showing the entire construction process. It was really nice of him to share that with us and it made the place feel even more cozy. Unfortunately we didn't get to try any of the food, but the drink options were great, and we really enjoyed having a place to relax and enjoy each other's company. This beautiful little wine and cheese bar in Eureka Springs is a gem in downtown. A must stop if you are visiting. Owners, Amanda and Rob are genuinely kind and awesome people who really go the extra step to make sure their customers are enjoying their experience. This is our favorite spot in Eureka for a relaxing evening. Worth noting that they specialize in beer and wine (no hard alcohol) as well as meat & cheese trays (no other food). We'll often have a small house salad elsewhere and then go to The Stone House and have one of their large cheese trays as our meal. The wine and beer lists are extensive, staff is knowledgeable and friendly, worth asking for their suggestions. My wife and I come back to Eureka Springs for our anniversary every year and since we've found the Stone House we go there every year on day one. Good wine, good atmosphere, really good cheese and nut trays. We've always been here off hours, very quiet, personal, I'd definitely recommend to anyone. This place was great! The owner was working the night we went (a Monday night, when things were pretty calm in ES). I have a lot of allergies - including an allergy to gluten and cow's milk, and thought that I would have to deal with eating cow's milk cheese without crackers. Instead, the owner helped me customize one of their trays with gluten-free crackers and all sheep's/goat's milk cheeses. It was awesome! Super tasty and the service was great. She also talked with us about the town and different things to do. It was a fun night with tasty food and wine! read more

We hot to Eureka Springs this afternoon looking forward to having a cheese plate and wine at the Stone House. Imagine our frustration when we arrived and it was CLOSED! Their website says they are open until 10. Unfortunately they will be closed for the next three days, which means we won't get there this year. Tomorrow is my 50th birthday , so I am sad that the celebration got off to such a bad start. If you have posted hours, please be open. We drove 5 hours to get there for dinner. read more
