    Butterfly Effect

My wife and I had an amazing experience! We were greeted with a smile and sat pretty quickly considering how busy they were. We ordered two delicious cocktails-Moscow Mule and Butterfly Effect. The food was exceptional as well-crab cakes as an appetizer and turkey, avocado and pepper jack sandwich. Our server was personable and attentive. Great vibe-clean, well lit and decorated beautifully. Will definitely go back.

It was a beautiful day in Eureka Springs to enjoy outdoor dining at the Local Flavor Cafe in late April. A girls trip had us enjoying drinks and sharing the delicious crab cakes before enjoying our entrees. Of course we have to share a bite from each of our plates, Quiche, Reuben, and Fish Tacos. The quiche is crustless and a good recommendation from our waitress, I was happy with my Rueben and the coleslaw was creamy with good flavor, and my friend enjoyed the fish taco so much that she asked for a side of their mango salsa to go!

Came back while in town (because this place is amazing!) and sat outside for lunch. The side porch is so cute and the weather was perfect! Chad was great, funny and we had a wonderful time. I got the Turkey Brie and Bacon ciabatta and my partner got the cheeseburger. Soooo good. Can't say enough great things about Local Flavor!

Came back for lunch today, first Time for lunch. Sat outside on a beautiful fall day. I had the bacon cheeseburger with thick cut fries. The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The bun was nice and soft and good. The fries were very good, wont go wrong with them. I then had a little room left and had the bread pudding. This is an entire meal by itself and is about as good as it gets. Service was very good and the price was fair.

Four stars because it was good but could've been better. Service was good. Our server got the job done. No complaints about her. The Blood orange mimosa The food was not hot. The cheese on top of the grits had not even melted. The flavor was there on everything it just needed to be hot. I recommend the crab cakes Benedict. Good flavor and served over house made focaccia in lieu of the traditional English muffin. The focaccia was great! And they use the left overs to make croutons for salads. The eggs were perfectly poached. Whites cooked through with a nice runny yolk. Sitting on the balcony is nice.

Special of the day. It was chicken... my daughter's choosing 7.23.2025

Local Flavor Cafe was a place my oldest daughter found for me on 7.23.2025 while I was driving into Eureka Springs, AR. We first had to find public parking near the Downtown Trolley Station and Ticket Office which I paid for with an app. It was $2.15 for 2 hours. When we got up to the entrance, I had my girl go inside to request a table on the patio since we had our dog. Our winsome waiter, Ken, and the hostess (forgot her name) treated our dog so kindly, even bringing her another bowl of water (of course I had one down for her already!) and commenting on how calm she was. We enjoyed the food in large part: + Coke ($3.00) + Dr Pepper ($3.00) + Orange Wine Flight ($18.00) + Grilled Salmon ($18.00) + Reuben Sandwich ($14.00) + Special ($15.00) + Side Fries ($4.00) The food was not super outstanding or memorable, but definitely good for lunch. I highly recommend a wine flight. They had 3 different options. I bumped up my rating to 5 stars primarily due to their exemplary hospitality and dog-friendly patio. Kid's macaroni and cheese, clearly disguised as penne Alfredo--so good!

FOOD: outstanding food and cocktails. My grandson had the "Mac & Cheese" he thought for kids. Instead, he got penne, Alfredo sauce with pepper. We're not mad about it because he finally broke out of the Kraft blue box and loved it! My daughter and I split the Walleye and it was near perfection. The Bootleg Flapper was a Bullet Rye whiskey cocktail that I wanted to drink all day long. ATMOSPHERE: is beautiful and charming. Great place for families, date night or dinner with the girls. SERVICE: our server was Sarah and she could not have been any better. Warm, friendly and efficient. TIPS: take home a dessert but get the recipe for that cocktail! Yum!

During our trip to Branson, MO, we couldn't resist a quick visit to Eureka Springs, AR, just an hour down the road. We popped into Local Flavor Cafe for lunch and were greeted by a host who radiated friendliness--truly made us feel welcomed! There was about a 30-minute wait, but honestly, it flew by. They offer in & outdoor seating so we opted to sit outside as it became available first. Our server, Amy, was an absolute gem--so sweet and upbeat! The food did not disappoint either; each of us in our party of three left satisfied. We started with the crab cakes, which were packed with lump crab meat and cooked to perfection! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium well, but it came out a tad too well done. Still, it was tasty! Instead of fries, my burger was paired with a small scoop of coleslaw (which, for the record, I don't eat and couldn't swap out), so I had to order fries on the side. My son was all about his grilled chicken strips; he enjoyed them so much that he ordered another patty and inhaled it! My goddaughter couldn't stop raving about her mahi mahi tacos, calling them delicious! Now, here's where things got a bit tricky for me--prices! My cheeseburger set me back $15, and that was without a proper side. Plus, there was a bit of a nuisance with the bugs buzzing around. I'm used to outdoor dining spots having citronella candles or plants to keep those pesky insects at bay. Just saying, a little extra effort could make a big difference! All in all, I enjoyed lunch and would definitely recommend giving Local Flavor Cafe a shot

The food is great! Special flavors and a great local eat! There's different menus for lunch and dinner so make sure to check them out. Little hidden gem in Eureka Springs. The service was great and our bartender/server was really kind. The ambiance is chill and perfect for conversations and a good time around friends/family and great food! Will definitely be back!

Had lunch here while traveling in Eureka Springs. Sat outside with great weather. The restaurant is decorated with many cool mid-century tv lamps and other items. The service was excellent. 2 of us had the trout special with trout fillet, fried Brussels sprouts, a roasted red pepper dipping sauce, and a house salad. Also enjoyed the white sangria.

This is always one of our favorite restaurants when we visit Eureka Springs, and we had our anniversary dinner here. My wife loved the salmon and I had a very tasty New York Strip. The service is fantastic, with the timing and their presentation. It's a great place for date night.

Oh my goodness this place is a hidden gem in Eureka Springs! We visited for our anniversary and were so glad we did. Local Flavor has a charming, quaint atmosphere that made our experience even more special. For drinks, I had the sangria it was a standard sangria, but I definitely wish I had tried a cocktail instead. Now, onto the real stars of the show the food! My husband ordered the turkey Reuben for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. It came with the most incredible sweet and savory coleslaw so good that I almost wanted to drink the sauce! I had the mahi-mahi tacos, which were drizzled with a flavorful guacamole sauce and topped with fresh mango salsa on what appeared to be homemade corn tortillas. They were fantastic! The tacos came with a side of black beans that could have used a bit more seasoning, but honestly, it didn't matter because the tacos were just that good. For dessert, we shared a slice of pecan pie, and wow it was the perfect treat! Not overly sweet, with crunchy pecans and a perfectly set filling, served with a dollop of whipped cream. I also have to give a shoutout to our server, Daniel. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, giving us great recommendations and explaining why he liked each dish. All in all, this was an amazing experience, and I would absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

Our best meal in Eureka Springs…read more Not a ton of tables inside. Interesting ambiance with the rock bluff, which we were seated right next to. Had great service from Rhodes who was gracious and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great suggestions. The Upside Down cocktail was delicious. A bit sweet for a whiskey drink, but very good. The salmon and steak were perfectly cooked. The asparagus and mushroom sides scrumptious. We split a slice of vanilla caramel cake which was divine. A perfect meal.

Tucked into downtown Eureka Springs, this spot lives up to the hype, but you'll want to plan ahead…read more Reservations are usually a must, and if you don't have one, expect a wait or a bar seat... unless you know the workaround. We showed up about 45 minutes early for our 8:30 reservation and did a quick walk through. Instead of waiting around, we wandered upstairs to The Stone House Tavern (right next door) for a drink, and here's the move: they serve the full Grotto menu. Same kitchen, totally different vibe. We grabbed a table and never left. The tavern has a cozy, dim-lit feel with a massive wall of books that immediately stands out. It's quiet, relaxed, and easy to actually enjoy a conversation no shouting over noise, no rushing through dinner. Service was great. Our server was kind, attentive, and we had a few genuine, easy conversations with her that made the whole experience feel even more relaxed. We started with the quail poppers and the baby romaine both solid, but more of a warm-up than the main event. The bone-in pork chop is the star. It's massive, cooked right, and easily shareable if you add a couple of sides. Don't skip the acorn squash it was one of the best things on the table. We also tried the full wings with three sauces, and those were just as good flavorful, not overdone, and a great balance to the heavier entrée. Overall, this place delivers on food, atmosphere, and experience. Bonus points for the upstairs "secret." We'd absolutely come back and probably go straight to the tavern again.
