we had dinner here for valentine's day lets just say the atmosphere is unbelievable felt like I was back in nyc. the food well let just say it was ok.. The red sauce was burnt and I think the manager knew of this himself being he kept asking us how it was. The price for everything was overpriced but then again the atmosphere made up for it. Would I go again... maybe we shall see read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner tonight. Good quality food for the price. The bolognese sauce was delicious - lots of meat balanced with the sauce and my partner enjoyed the lasagna. I don't understand the comments on skimpy portion sizes as we both left with leftovers. We will be back! read more

Always good food. Good wine. Great atmosphere. Love the small, intimate bar on the 2nd floor.

Came here for dinner. Great food. Great atmosphere. Sort of expensive. And Ami was a great server!

Fancy shmancy. Melt is a super trendy upscale restaurant/lounge. The rooftop during warmer weather is an awesome place to go, listen to music, dress up, have fun with some good friends. It's a little bourgie but I'm completely ok with that, it's nice to have a fancy night out. Food is decent but not the top selling point of this place but still tasty. Service was out of this world - Donna's the best! read more

My cousin picked this restaurant which was halfway from where she lives and where my wife and I were staying. Generally, mall based restaurants to me are food mills with overly salted food. I was pleasantly surprised to see Melt was really a good restaurant. The drinks and food were really good, the servers were highly attentive. read more

We held a birthday dinner for my father-in-law and the event was wonderful. The staff were incredibly attentive, the food was wonderful and they made sure we could focus on catching up with friends and family. There were a number of senior citizens at our party and the staff made sure their needs were covered. Thank you to Carissa for organizing a great party. read more

First I have to say I have always enjoyed the food at Melt. I love their crab cakes, and I can always count on their Broccolini. The wine list is decent, and the drinks are good. So why the low score? The attitude of indifference in the bar. I drove to 3501 for a good glass of wine. They were closed on Sunday night, so I headed for Bolete. Closed also. Then I thought of Melt, and I went there. I sat at the bar and felt completely ignored. The blonde working the bar failed to even notice me for a while. When I asked about red wine, she said we have a lot. I asked for a wine list. She handed it to me and said the glasses are in the center column. Again, I was left alone for awhile before having the chance to order. I ordered my wine. She served it with no talk, and just turned and walked away, before I could ask for water also. I drink slow, and was about halfway through before she even came close enough to address. She never looked my way, or checked in. I asked for a menu as she passed by. She said she'd be with me in a moment, and continued on leaving the area. When she came back she dropped off a menu without a word. I looked through and decided what I wanted to order. She never came back. I finished my wine and left. Now this experience followed my previous visit with my wife. We sat in the bar at a table. We were quickly served water, and then we never had anyone pay any attention to us again. We finally walked out and went to another place to eat. The staff is not customer friendly, or perhaps poorly trained. We were not discourteous, poorly dressed, and I bathe daily. I love the facility and decor. I want to love the restaurant, but they make it so darn hard to do business with them. They are indifferent to customers. read more

We have been to the Melt three times. The food has been good, but nothing special, but the atmosphere and presentation has been excellent. The service has been mediocre. I don't mind paying for premium food and service, but I expect to receive premium food and service. We had reservations for New Years Eve and arrived and they said that there were no tables available. The lobby and waiting areas were completely full and no one from the staff made any attempt to accommodate the crowds waiting for the tables they had reserved. We were advised that it would be a 15 minute delay. After waiting 30 minutes beyond our reservation time, they advised that it would be a 15 to 20 minute delay. (Same story as when we arrived). We left and went elsewhere. It would seem that this was the Melt's first New Year's Eve, unfortunately, it was not. read more

First time dinning at melt as we are new to the area. We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and took advantage of re outdoor seating as well. Excellent menu selections also at reasonable prices. The calamari is a great starter, has a nice light breading to it. The car cake, penne, ravioli, and capresse sandwich are all great selections! BUT save room for dessert! The limone ricotta torta and zuccotto cake are AMAZING! The service was great but a little slow. The bathrooms are super nice and clean too! ;-) Definitely recommend and will go back! read more

Finally a good all around experience at a restaurant! My wife and I go out to eat often. We've had a long string of disappointments, due to one missing element in our visits. Either the food is good, but the service is bad, or vice versa. Melt certainly pleased us in a surprising way! We actually had our coats checked by the hostess - how great is that! Our server - Jessica - was very pleasant and punctual. I had a delicious mojito and my wife had a seasonal drink called a ruby-red, which was very good. We especially appreciated how kind the entire staff was to our 15 month old, when in many other restaurants babies are looked at as nuisances. Our meals were good. Best of all, Jessica said she had a special dessert prepared for our anniversary. She came out with a cheesecake with the message "Happy Anniversary" written with chocolate on the plate. That's not all! Two glasses of champagne - on the house! We were so floored by this experience that we will certainly come back to Melt again! Honestly, our anniversary was made so special by this experience and the staff needs to know how far their kindness and professionalism can go! Thanks. read more

Went for hubbys birthday 2/13/14. We went to level 3 for some drinks before going down for dinner. To start of Level 3 is a great place to have drinks and just relax; then we went down for our 8pm reservation and they sat us down right away i didn't have to wait witch i really liked. The waiter was really nice and there was no pressure to order our entree after the appetizers. The food was delishhhh; cant wait for spring/summer to be able to sit out side and enjoy the food ! read more

Pricy food was warm .. steak done perfect but just Warm.. potatoes not even warm.. bread was served.. after I asked for it .. and after we got our meal... other meal veal was Hot and perfect. Worth the price NO!!!! Probably why there was not many people in restaurant... read more

My very first time dining at Melt was an overall great experience. I ordered the Filet mignon and even with it being one of the most pricier items on the menu, it was well worth the money. My food was delicious and my waiter was very sweet and helpful. Although I wish their was valet parking, I will definitely be visiting again for the great food and classy ambience. read more

I have been here many times and will definitely return. The ambiance is great and the food is delicious. I keep ordering the involtino which is chicken stuffed with prosciutto, fontina cheese, and spinach. Delicious! My bro had ordered the NY Strip, which I tried, and it had to be the best I have ever had. Level 3, which is a rooftop bar area, is awesome. I would suggest checking this place out if you haven't already. It is pricey, but has been worth it every time so far. read more

Luncheon reservation for 12 ladies was for 1 pm on July 12, 2012. We got our food at 2:15. Server never came back and asked if everything was okay. When asked, she said the kitchen was overwhelmed because of another large group. I have had better service at the local diner. If they couldn't handle it, they should not have made the reservation. When we asked to see the manager, she said she had no idea there was a problem. Neither she nor the waitress offered any way to make things right. When the checks arrived, after another long wait, an 18% gratuity had been added, despite the poor handling of the situation by our server and everyone else at Melt. Never had this experience at lunch there before, or anywhere else. The one time I had dinner there, in a large group, two people did not get their meals until everyone else had finished eating. Again, there was no apology. They seem to feel they can treat you poorly because of the lovely decor. For a pricey place like Melt, you would expect better service. The food is not remarkable, either, and the selection is quite limited. Will not return. read more

Good food. Great service. A little pricy, but it is still good food. My cousin had his wedding reception here on the terrace and the service for a private event was excellent too!! read more

This is a review of the restaurant, NOT the 3rd floor lounge. Let me start by saying that I don't mind paying top dollar for exceptional food and service. However, at Melt, you will pay top dollar for very mediocre food. I ate there three times and waited to write this review until I felt I had enough information. The good: great decor, fun atmostphere and OK service. The drinks: I ordered a cosmopolitan which was probably the worst cosmo I have ever had. They must have used lime juice that comes out of those plastic lime-looking containers because the drink was sour, fake and I could taste the plastic. The server never came to ask whether we liked the drinks so I had no chance to send it back. The food: I ordered the red snapper with crab meat. I honestly could not distinguish between the fish and the crab - the texture of both was the same! Very little flavor. My husband and son ordered the prime rib which was Ok at best. We passed on desserts because there was nothing on the menu that sounded intriguing. Overall, very disappointing. Melt is by far the best looking restaurant in the Lehigh Valley in a great location but for the prices they charge, the food should knock your socks off. Well, it does not. You will do much better ordering wine or champagne and appetizers in the 3rd Floor Lounge. I will not return to the restaurant. read more

I would like to know when this was.....I happen to be the bouncer at melt and have never declined someone for no reason. Perhaps you did not meet the dress code or did not have a valid license. I'd be happy to discuss this with you. read more

Stopped into Melt today for what I hoped would be a nice, quick lunch. Sat at the bar and ordered the chopped salad. The service was good, but the salad was like eating cardboard-- no distinguishable flavors, and the dressing was lousy. I can't say I have ever been overly impressed with the food here. The decor is nice but that does not make a good restaurant. read more

Forget the bad reviews here-food was great and server, gary, was top notch. Halibut was super and two others had chicken parm that they loved. Salad apps, ceasar and caprese both excellent as was white bean side that we ordered as an app (enough for 2). Prices were not that high, especially compared with NYC and ambience was great.Only negative was parking-should have valet-But I would definitely go again-we went fri. night, had 7pm resy and were seated within 5 min in a beautiful booth where it was easy to talk. read more

I really enjoy this place I've been to melt several times and I have to say I always have a dynamite experience! The service is always impeccable and the ambience speaks for itself. I see a lot of reviews on here that the food is bad but I've always had a great meal at melt between their steaks, pasta dishes, pizzas and salads you can't go wrong and their drink selection is great! read more

Dined at Melt last Sunday, 8/31/14. Service was marginal and food was without taste. To explain: asked for lemon with water - no lemon. Asked for well done burgers, they were dried up (took 1/2 hour to be served). Lettuce garni was wilted (probably too long under the heating lamp), no catsup. Service personnel was unattentive with the exception of copious amounts to water (still no lemon). And finally, the presentation of the food was unappetizing. Will not visit there again. read more

Indoor/outdoor sitting; varied menu with light and traditional Italian choices. Friendly staff (a bit slow delivery from the kitchen). Reasonably priced for lunch considering this rich restaurant setting (have not tried it for dinner). read more

bolonese dish is my husband's favorite! great atmosphere. level 3 is fun. wine list is great, just make sure if you select a 2011 bottle from the list that they bring you 2011. they had not updated the wine list the past few times we were there, and what seemed to be a "good deal" for price/age turned out to not be the best deal. they certainly did their best to find us a good wine (which we appreciate), im just saying to check what they bring you because ultimately, it's on you as the consumer. read more

Hand down my absolute favorite. Don't get to go here often because the prices are very high. But for special occasions it is well worth the cost. Attended a birthday party for a friend at Melt. It was all off the menu. The Cuisine was great and the appetizers are large and tasty. The Staff is extremely attentive and helpful. Worth noting is Kait. She was always available. Kait took the order for 12 very well. She kept the drinks coming and still had time to interact with the whole party. The atmosphere is tasteful and accommodating. Will return for a dinner soon read more

I usually give a Restaurant that I like a 4 star rating. Five is a very hard grade to earn. The Cuisine at Melt was well prepared and presented on the plate well. The drinks were not as good this time and seemed trimmed down. The wine list seems to have also taken a cheaper route. What made this a five star experience for us, and why we will return was our Server, Kait. Kait is the embodiment of professionalism and her best attribute at Melt is she is not imposing and rushed like so many of Melt's Servers are. She maintains a flow that makes your experience as a guest a pleasurable and enjoyable experience. She did not treat us or rush our dinner as if it was a Friday's or dinner. We went on Restaurant week and we will be coming back again. read more

I have dined at Melt since its opening. The Cuisine is always fresh and excellently presented. This dining experience at Melt was a special treat. Our Server, Kait, was the best we have ever had at any restaurant. She is simply amazing. Her demeanor and attention to detail, plus suggestions considering the menu and wines is beyond compare. She is a true professional. Of the course, the decor at Melt is breath taking. We have stayed from Melt in the last couple of years, but we will be coming back to visit and dine. read more

Service great, food good, atmosphere---WAY TOO DARK! Every table around us was using their cell phones to read the menu. I understand the "ambience" of dimmed lighting, but this was a bit too much. When I mentioned it to our server (who was great!) she just shrugged it off and said she was used to it. read more

Hands down my favorite local restaurant. The atmosphere is very chi-chi - stylish and contemporary. I have had both lunch and dinner there several times and have always had a wonderful experience. Food was great and the staff friendly and attentive. A bit on the expensive side but I don't mind paying for the great atmosphere. read more

Very satisfied with the restaurant. Beautiful. I will be back for sure, especially for important occasions.

We went to Melt after having a dinner at Shula's Steakhouse on Sunday. It was a very different atmosphere. The pizza was just to go along with our cocktails for something to munch on. It was bland and ordinary, nothing special. 3 stars suits perfectly. It was nothing great and not terrible. A little on the expensive side for the bang of the buck. read more

I hated my experience here!!! I drove over an hour for a dinner party, only to get a meatball dish with a longgggg piece of hair mixed up in it. Not on top or on the side but mixed in!! Our waitress sucked and served me a half hr after I sat down and the manager sucked too! He did nothing about it except give me a new meal that I really didn't want, to pay for!!! AFTER paying my bill (prior to the party ending because I was completely disgusted) I asked the manager why he didn't compensate my bill for the hair & experience. He then tells me the spaghetti chef is bald, so he doesn't know how that could have happened. He said ok ill take 1 drink off the bill but then he added gratuity (which wasn't on the 1st bill) so it evened out to the same amount. Overall, it was a horrible experience and I would never go back read more

Tried to eat here with my family tonight. Hostess told us an hour wait for a table, but the bistro tables are first come first serve and she thinks one of them is just wrapping up some happy hour. I asked if we could put our name in. She said "Im afraid not - we don't reserve them." No problem I said, wife and kids and I waited in the corner of the room. After 20 minutes a bar back asked us if we wanted anything. I told him we were just waiting for a table. 15 minutes later he came back and apologized and told us someone else was on a waiting list for a Bistro table. Manager told me that's their policy. After 40 minutes of watching people hogging the Bistro tables and daydreaming into their cell phones - we left... and still haven't had dinner. I cannot believe that that manager would not offer anything to let us eat. A terrible person managing a terrible restaurant. read more

Myself and two friends went to Melt for a dinner and as usual we had a great dining experience. The food is always top notch at Melt, and always is very presentable. The decor, although somewhat overdone, is striking. What made this experience special was our server, Kate. She was prompt and a lot of fun. We all agreed that every dining experience should be as much fun. Kate was polite and had great suggestions. All of us know the menu well and got a kick out of her saying "Your making job to easy". She continued to entertain us throughout our dining experience without being overbearing. At the end of dinner we all agree this was the best meal we ever had at Melt and a very special occasion because of Kate. read more

not to impressed. i went there with girlfriend, finally after years of walking by the place and hearing various tales from clients and family. first off the decor is great perfect lighting, comfortable seating, odd music selections though. anyways, we order drinks, they check ID's fine, my girlfriend's Id gets declined because its and international ID, our server even went to the manager to check and still declined, come on! you never seen an international ID before? we even offered to show her passport, no dice. horrible customer service on that front. moving on to the meal the we ordered some sausage and cheese dish, which was sort of a soup, it was ok but judging by the short amount of time it took to come out it was just scooped out of a large vat. we both ordered pasta dishes for the entrees and again these came out almost too fast and judging from how hot the plates were, they probably sat underneath a heat lamp while we ate the app. now time for me to nitpick, i work at a high-end restaurant and i know service, wine, and markup. the service was great, server was knowledgable, the backservice was timely and water and silverware was replaced in good fashion. the wine list is hilarious, for a place that boosts to have a good list this is just a joke. willamette valley pinot noir for 16 bucks a glass? haha its $23 a bottle at the store, while they do have a fair selection of wines ranging from $80-$160 and up, their $30-$80 needs some help with quality and selection. also a very slim dessert wine selection. i ordered a glass of tempernillo and it was bad, horrible i dont think anyone that would taste this would go ahead and offer it. for mediocre food and decent service (except for the ID thing), i would come back, however, the ID thing put a sour taste in our mouths and we will not be returning. melt i would not have even thought about writing a review had you served my girlfriend, it made her feel disrespected and angry, thanks read more
