Melt is an Italian-American restaurant located at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley. It's open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with later hours on Friday and Saturday until 10:00 PM, and Sunday until 8:30 PM. I've been to Melt before, so I went in with fairly neutral expectations, not expecting anything terrific, but not expecting it to be terrible either. My friend and I started with the calamari fritti. As I went to pick up my first bite, I noticed how light it felt, which made sense once I realized there was barely any calamari beneath all that breading. Next I had a bowl of their homemade pasta e fagioli. There wasn't much in it but it came out hot and had a nice, comforting flavor. For my main, I went with the garlic herb buttered scallops with house-made orzo, Parmigiano, fava beans, and pancetta, listed on the menu as capesante. It was so salty that by the third bite that's all I tasted. My friend went with the chicken Parmesan with house-made buttered pasta, listed on the menu as pizzaiola di pollo. Unfortunately, both the chicken and pasta were rubbery, and the tomato sauce lacked flavor. The entire dish came across as if it had been reheated. Our server was polite, but he never asked how the food was. Not once. My first visit was average, my second visit was awful, and well, there won't be a third. On a positive note, Melt is exceptional for Thanksgiving. I've gone the past three years, and the food and service were both top tier.

Another wonderful meal! Waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Food was perfectly cooked and tasty!

I have not been to Melt in about 15 years. However, it is just as visually impressive as ever and has the best aesthetics of any restaurant I have visited. Our hostess was truly pleasurable, Juan was our kind and helpful server who really took care of us. Our Sunday brunch was wonderful. I enjoyed the crab stuffed portobello mushroom though the lemon-based sauce became a bit overwhelming. My girlfriend loved her omelette and potatoes. We look forward to returning for dinner.

This is a beautiful restaurant. They have the best booths. And great service. But the food, meh. Apparently the chef doesn't taste the food. The Italian wedding soup was good, but relied on salt. Was hot and steamy. The crab cake had sweet red pepper. Disqualifying for me. Barely cooked. Aioli was overpowered by Dijon and garlic. Arugula salad over dressed with lemon, not adequately balanced by evoo. Figs needed finer dice and walnuts needed heavier carmelization.

Pizzaiola Di Pollo Lunch, very good!

I haven't been here in years, so I stopped in for lunch while I was in the area for work. I am definitely glad I did. I started with the pasta fagioli soup which was one of the best I have ever had. Then I had the chicken parmesan (pizzaiola pollo) lunch which was the perfect serving size and it tasted great. They have a large variety of wine and bar selections as well. The bartender Tyler was great!

Our meal at melt was quite tummy. The antipasto misto board was filled with delicious Italian snacks and was a good size. Our entrees took a bit of time to come out but they came out hot fresh and delicious! Our waitress was attentive and the staff was all friendly. The ambiance is very nice, upscale dining. I would go back if in the area again!

I was there in November 2 x for a meeting. The employees so friendly, The food from antipasto, calamari , salad to entree fettuccine Bolognese& dessert and my wife had the steak everything cooked to perfection. Place well decorated as well very cozy.

The restaurant is so pretty and the service was amazing!! We went for a girls night and the food and ambiance were perfect. We loved our server Laura and will be requesting her only from now on!! Such a great experience

Giovanni's Pizza & restaurant is next door is owned by the husband of Mercatino's. Both places serve really good food! My bad experience there today was due to how LONG it takes to order, pay for, and get your food. WAY to long. Plus, everything is overpriced. They make you order from one of two kiosks. Kiosk ask some odd questions that force you to go to the counter to ask things like, what is pressed hot? By the time the lady had time to answer my question, my order was timed out and I had to start all over. Then my chicken cutlet ssandwich comes with broccoli rabe, but the kiosk suggested I add it and pay more for it. WHAT? The friendly lady came out from behind the counter to help me with the order. Then she asked for my email address and phone numberto complete the order. WHAT? She claimed I HAD TO input my phone number and email address to complete my order - WHAT??I We argued a minute and I said I just want to buy my sandwich which doesn't require giving out my email and phone numbeI. I finally completed my orderand asked at the counter what's next. The lady behind the counter says here's your reciept, you have to go up front to the cashier pay for it 1st. I said what the heck and she explained someone walked out, not paying so this is their procedure now. So, okay, I walked to the fron register, presented my nvoice and paid. So, again I ask what's next. The cashier hands me a paid for sticker and said go back to the counter in the rear to get your food. Okay, so I walked back to the rear counter to discover they hadn't started to assemble my sandwich yet. So, I milled aroiund with other confused looking customers waiting for their food. 20 minutes later I got my food and FINALLY left. The food is good but very expensive, the staff is friendly, but I'll never go thru that again. Their bakery is exceptional but they get it from La Dolce Vita Italian bakery in Wescoville, it's a great Italian bakery in Wescoville. Their bread comes from NY and itself is worth the trip there. The frozen section is exceptional as well. Just don't order a sandwich unless you have the day off or like me, are retired!

They kept a lot of the buildings older character so it'll appear as a "hole in the wall", but I found it warm and cozy. Seating choices include several tables, a long bar that faces the cooking area and a window seat for two that looks over Main Street. The staff was friendly and prompt. The menu has all of your breakfast standards, but also includes crepes. The lunch/dinner part consists of burgers, hotdogs, pierogies, tacos, chicken tenders and sandwiches. On the sweet side they have house-made baked goods, ice cream, sundaes, banana splits and milkshakes. My son and I stuck with breakfast. I had coffee and "The Shirley Special" - 2 eggs, 1 slice bacon, 1 slice thick French toast, breakfast potatoes $9.50. My son had a Turkey Hill chocolate milk, two eggs and a bagel. The Shirley was a good portion for the price. Everything was fresh and came out quick. My only nitpick was the bagel with my sons meal. It was a plain jane supermarket type of bagel. A place like this needs to serve some fresh local bagels! The coffee was a simple and tasty black roasted blend. Breakfast for two at $20 wasn't bad. The bathroom located in the back was small, but clean. I'd definitely return when traveling through the area. Thanks guys!
