Have Mel coming to paint our 1200sf home and I'm very disappointed with his work. Too much promises and didnt not delivery. When he came to paint our home and I pacifically told him that I just have my house detailed clean and new floor just put in the day before so I expected to have my house to be cover up. This is a rental home so it's empty. No furniture or anything which make it lot easier for him. He agreed to cover all light fixtures and floor and keep the house as clean as it before. I DO NOT recommend this company for your painting needs. Mel and his crew charged us $2,500 and tried 3 separate times to get the job done CORRECTLY. Mel refused to return and finish the job after the 3rd time and told us we can take him to court! Wow! We JUST moved into our new house with our baby and the bank REQUIRED it to be scraped properly and painted. Mel was made aware of this BEFORE agreeing to the tedious job and charged us an EXTRA $700 to scrape ALL the paint off and dispose of it all PROPERLY. (All paint scraped was to be removed from the property due to the lead base.) Needless to say it wasn't, on top of this his crew left behind their trash from every lunch and various other things thrown onto our lawn (front AND back)...NOT OK! Paint and various trash was left ALL OVER my property, thus contaminating EVERYTHING and our soil to grow food for our family. They only scraped a few spots here and there, it is horribly obvious! Mel even admited over text that he didn't do everything discussed nor scrape everything as asked and he's NOT going to... even though WE WERE CHARGED EXTRA FOR IT AND PAID IN FULL... SERIOUSLY?!? Mel again then stated that we could take him to court that he's "not giving us a dime" as he said he would, because we have to hire another company to do the job properly.... remember this was per the bank...WE COULD LOSE OUR HOME OVER THIS! There were also "touch-ups" done to the house which is completely normal, but I'm pretty sure they're supposed to use the EXACT SAME PAINT! NOT KIDDING. There are literally SPOTS all over my brand new painted house. I don't how what paint he used but it wasn't what WE PAID FOR HIM TO PURCHASE! It's a different finish so it's shiny unlike the flat/satin finish that was chosen for the house AND its lighter in color...wtf?!? They also didn't put any painters plastic down or anything to protect our front porch, gutters, windows, window screens, staircases, flowerbeds, and various other things that got ruined during the time they were on my property. There is overspay on EVERYTHING and was NEVER removed! Mel stated he'd never thought of putting protective layering down before working and he doesn't do THAT... are you kidding me? You don't protect your clients property...seriously?! The ENTIRE HOUSE, PORCH, GUTTERS, TRIM, AND NOW ALL FIXTURES NEED TO BE REPAINTED AND FIXED! On top of the fact that we now have to deal with lead paint contamination. I am appalled that this is how our new fellow community members treated us! Mel has since changed his phone number and address so we can't locate him to serve him the court documents.... have no fear, we WILL find him and have justice served! It's such a shame though..... I scheduled an appointment for a quote to paint my house. I attempted to call them to reschedule for over a week due to a change in work schedule and they never answered the phone or return my calls! Then they never even showed up to the original scheduled appointment and denied all of my phone calls. If you want to hire a company you can trust this is not the one. read more

Melspainting.com This guy and his crew gets it right. I've seen their work and know for a fact!!! I know Mel personally. He's one of the most honest and fair people I've ever known. I'm not sure what this other reviewers problem is but from what I heard they're property was covered with stacked trash before Mel's crew even got there. They didn't even bother to provide a safe work environment. Also why didn't they show the finished result instead of premature pics of the process and spots that obviously look tampered with AFTER the fact (pulled off even exposing insulation...)?... And wow 2500 dollars,.. Try finding ANYONE who'd even bother... Pressure washing, scraping, sanding, prepping, painting... Sounds like someone wanted a whole lot for nothing. . . and it sounds like Mel tried to appease someone who didn't want to be by coming back out to do extra work at least 3 times anyways. I've ran into these types of con artists before. Hire a contractor, haggle a low ball price, and do everything possible to try and get your money back once you have them go over and beyond instead of just asking for a refund from the beginning if you think it was so bad... Misleading pics, lies, etc.. All of Mel's work I've seen has been top notch. No doubt I'd hire him in a split second. Search Melspainting.com read more
