**Complaint Details:**…read more Date of Contract: August 2023 We signed a contract to WHITE-BOX out commercial shell unit with Gold Home Custom Remodeling, LLC., EIGHT months ago. This kind of work generally takes around 3months to complete but with this company, even after 8months of delays ..... negligible amount of work is done that is not even worth of $5,000. There are no specific start dates for HVAC, Electrical, Glass-Front, Sheetrock, Painting, lighting or anything and even if he gave some dates, they were never kept up. Owner [ Sam Fontalvo a.k.a Samir Yaber Fontalvo ] of this company pushed us to send him the money on the pretext of getting things done faster to acquire subs, raw material, planning, etc. We've paid over $52,570 dollars so far and he has given us a schedule of completion of work that changed from time to time citing weather conditions, non-availability of subs, health issues, raw material, blaming City for non-issuance of permits, which were completely UNTRUE. He has no in-house subs and he has no intention to complete the work after grabbing significant amount of money quoted on the contract. Based on our observation, he has NO in-house subs or he has any subs at all that were available to work for him. Recently, he mentioned "Jacob", who he said will be working on the project as his sub to get things moving, BUT later mentioned that this imaginary Jacob is too busy to do work on this project. While waiting for this white-boxing, we've lost Four determined prospective tenants/buyers and have incurred heavy losses of over $25,000 by paying Mortgages, Taxes, HOA fees with no tenants. This entire episode has caused us financial loss and emotional trauma. As I see and hear from other victims, he has been STILL doing this again and again with new people and gouging their money at will in the name of remodeling/construction. He NEEDS TO BESTOPPED.

His long experience took into consideration a lot of the things that we found with wood and not matching supporting structures. He completely renovated two bathrooms and partially renovated my kitchen. Bathroom seem larger completely functional and absolutely beautiful. Well the quality of the work is very good one of the other things is that every day that he said he would be here he came at the time he said he would come. Professional reliability is extremely important. Every time we found something unusual it was discussed decisions were made as a team with his input as well as mine. Watching him transform these deteriorating bathrooms allowed me to develop a trust in his judgment. We started working on the kitchen and when the paintings all finished I'll post those pictures as well. Because of his many years of experience there weren't any real big overrun surprises when we even when we found some rotted wood etc. Price wise he's a very competitive especially considering the quality and level of experience that he brings to all that he does.
