This sprawling park has paved trails with inner and outer loops spanning about three miles, plus loads of other amenities, including tennis courts, volleyball nets, a catch-and-release fishing pond, gazebos, and the well-crafted Eureka playground. There were already dozens of joggers, dog walkers, and parents with toddlers out and about at South Lakes by late Saturday morning in January, when the temperature had just nudged up to 50 degrees. Its convenient and safe, and I plan to be back often.

That's why I love the sport! Definitely the best rural course besides Lester lorch. Super nice for those wanting to do some nice hiking. A central feature is the park's paved jogging trails, which includes a model airplane flying center, and the city's recycling center and even a dog park, at the extreme end of the system. The city's Police Department features great officers who can help via 911 Phone Calls, 24/7. Fortunately for the residents who live close by, response times are prioritized by the severity of the situation and the need for urgent assistance. Denton, Texas is going to grow with respect to the Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington area by virtue of the local attractions offered to the voting public's attention to the very positive thing that green spaces offer to the people. There are restrooms for the humans. The park has artificial turf and there is a large concrete covered area if you need some shade. The water fountain didn't work for the dogs though so make sure to bring water for them just in case. We will definitely be back!
