I would have left one star but I honestly used to like the pharmacist and employees. There must have been some big turnover lately because after going here for over three years I only recognized 1 of 6 people today. Which would be easy to believe based on the complete blocked headed mess I just dealt with for the last 6 days. There have always been closer pharmacies but I liked the old staff. honestly ,I'm not one to take the time to write a review unless I feel it is necessary, today I spoke with a young man who was rude from the start and then after I had said thank you . Not goodbye , he hung up on me.. I then was going to speak with higher up but I know it would be a waste of my time and nothing would change. I moved about 30 min away from my home town Waterford a little over a year ago ! I continue to drive MONTHLY to this place for them to be impatient, rude , and judgmental. I recently switched my prescription to a Meijer Pharmacy a little closer to my home now! And let me say they have been such a blessing and a huge help to not only me but my children as well!! We have a smile on our face every single time we leave ! And I just wanna say you can tell the difference when someone is caring , patient, and actually wanting to help and support! IT MAKES A WHOLE LOT OF A DIFFERENCE. so if your reading this pharmacist.. next time maybe just think .. you have no clue of what these people go through in a daily,. Told me to bring in my cards to check for Medicare. Made me & my husband wait for at least 20 minutes after already waiting while they fill the prescription. Refused to fill my prescription with my primary insurance. I complained to corporate two times. Someone called and said they were the soft lines manager and apologized. I called them back later and said who I was and they said they never called me. I was lied to. Refused to fill my script. They didn't explain to me why they wouldn't fill my script and turned me away. read more

I wish I could give this pharmacy 0 stars. They are always extremely condescending rude & everything seems like its an inconvenience when it's nothing beyond the normal question/request. I have witnessed them being out right rude to other patients as well for no reason. I now take ADHD medication & I am treated even worse than before. They were rude before, but tolerable b/c I didn't have to go very often, but now it's much worse & intolerable. Every month there's a new hoop to jump through & they aren't any of the standard ones that you have to go through for that type of medication. The Meijer's on 8 mile is constantly losing my prescription. My doctor will send in 3 months worth of prescriptions at a time and after I fill the first one they will somehow lose the next two. This has happened a number of times and they always say that my doctor didn't send it. The pharmacist at Meijer's are incompetent to say the least. I would love to say that this is the only problem I have had, but it is not. I was told once that they wouldn't fill my prescription because my ID was from out a state. We went to fill a prescription for Adderall, and we're told our insurance didn't cover it. We agreed to pay the cash price, and the pharmacist rudely gave us the Rx back, and said they didn't have it. Found out from a friend who is a tech in the Meijer pharmacy, that the pharmacist lied to us because she assumes any and all patients who agrees to pay cash for Adderall are drug seekers and she also refuses service to people who want Adderall and other controlled substances on Medicaid as well. I called the pharmacist, confronted her about this, and she actually admitted to what the pharmacy tech told me! I tried to contact the store manager, but he was "too busy" to take my call. I cannot believe the unprofessionalism and discrimination of this pharmacist! I plan to report her to the ethical board. read more

Took a prescription in and the first tech took it without saying anything, no "hi" or "welcome." I asked to be paged, but he rudely said they don't page anymore - but they text your cell phone. The worst pharmacy in Madison Heights. They are rude, slow, and inefficient. I have maintenance meds that I get every single month. Every single month they forget to order them. It's even on an auto refill and I go in, AFTER receiving a text that's it's ready, to get there and be told they won't have it for 2 days! After this happened 3 months in a row, I switched to the Kroger on 12/Stephenson. Such a better location, atmosphere, and general competence level of staff. read more

Been using this pharmacy for 2-3 years. Really upset with the recent situation I encountered. Went to get my scripts after my apt at urgent care. They wouldnt be ready for half hour. Understandable. Unfortunatley I couldnt wait I had to go to work 3pm to 10pm. Had to suffer all day at work with God awful "lady" symptoms. Went to go get the scripts the next day thinking okay well its been a day and a half.... they are out of stock and never ordered my medication and its going to be another day. Okay sir have you ever had a bladder infection and yeast infection at the same time!? Its horrible!! I cant wait that long. Why wasnt it ordered the other day when I originally came in? Got the over the counter meds and it literally burned my area. Now I have to go back to urgent care for that!! Will not be back. New pharmacy this time. read more

Beyond unhelpful. I called before my prescription was called in by my vet to check pricing and they gave me a price of $85. When I went to pick up it rang for $260. It took them over an hour to assist me and figure out the pricing error. When I asked they call the script over to another pharmacy they were extremely rude about the request and refused to do anything to assist. read more

After 3 years of putting up with substandard service and constant mistakes at the Allen Park Meijer, because of the convenience of location we finally went elsewhere. My wife was on the phone with me while picking up yet another botched prescription (improperly billed) complaining about it. I told her well lets take our prescriptions elsewhere. The woman at the pick up window told my wife " any time you want to move your prescriptions elsewhere i will happily do it for you personally" She was rude and obnoxious when saying it. I wrote Meijer corporate about this and got back a canned response but of course nothing went any further. Now all my prescriptions are done correctly at our new pharmacy. Meijer has lost me as a customer over this. I can do business elsewhere. I dont need to have my family talked to like trash so I simply shop elsewhere now. This is one of the worst pharmacies I've ever been to. My girlfriend and I are here about twice a month and at this point we almost expect them to botch our orders. No exaggeration, we have had problems eleven out of the last twelve times we've came to pick stuff up. They've told us or prescriptions were ready when they weren't, they've sent us text notifications, just for us to drive all the way there to be told there was an issue and the insurance our doctor would have to call in. Every time frame they've ever given us has been wrong and we end up waiting longer. We're done with this place. read more

Worse treatment I have ever had at a pharmacy. The main pharmacist (not the techs) was downright rude and treated me very poorly based on the script I gave her. She treated me like some sort of degenerate (funny part is I'm actually a doctor). Trying to get any script filled there has been a huge pain and a huge wait; I have been driving back to the Royal Oak Meijer to get my scripts filled since the staff is much more friendly, efficient, and less judgemental. read more
