I go to this location all the time to do third-party app orders. After working all day, I went there tonight to get some cat and dog food and unfortunately because I had my headphones and I was not able to check out anything. I literally got up to the front cash registers before it even switched from midnight to 1201 and I was refused to even get anything and I'm just overall really disappointed. Like I understand policy is policy, but there was still someone checking out at the self check out, and both of the workers had logged out of their personal registers before that person was even done checking out. I just feel like that is irresponsible. What if there was an issue with the order and from a company perspective that is just really not customer service friendly. I would understand if I got up to the front after closing, but I literally got up there when I was supposed to and I still was not allowed to check out and I was really excited to get those treats for my cat and my dog because I've been working all day and there's literally nowhere else to go. I usually only go to Meijer for doing orders or because it's the only place open late. That's a full grocery store. It is very pricey. I don't feel like it's as cheap as other grocery stores and now that other stores are open till 11. I will just go there because the way that I felt tonight there wasn't even an apology from any of the workers or anything so I don't want to put any more money in this business. read more

Huge clean spot to find deals and interesting mid western snacks, coffee etc not found at other grocery spots. Nice produce, good cheese options and then there is the home items and shopping for clothes, weird to be clothes shopping when on a bubbly water run, but nice quality. Huge drink bottle section with big brands like Tervis and Stanley. We never get out for under 200.00 , but happy with what we get every time. read more

Don't usually shop here because they are expensive compared to others. I only needed a few things and I was nearby so I stopped. Asked 3 different associates for help locating an item, all three blew me off sending me to nowhere land. The last one just walked away! My complaint against Meier is their bumbling relationship with Doordash Delivery service . I ordered on the Doordash app and realized I had made a mistake. There was no feature on the app to correct the mistake so I called the bakery and was assured the problem was fixed. It was not fixed and I was charged for an expensive item and am told there's no way to fix the problem. read more

Meijer is your typical giant supermarket. It's a great place if you want to get everything possible all in one stop. The prices are fine. You'll find some items cheaper at other places and some you won't. Why do I go to Meijer? It's really very simple. This store is the closest superstore to my home. It does a good enough job of having the things I want and need in one place. Therefore, I am unwilling to drive farther. If there were magically a similar store closer to me, I would almost certainly go to it instead. But that would be nearly impossible, so there's a very good chance I will be going to Meijer until it closes or I die. And truthfully, I kind of hope I die first because it really is convenient. read more

I just placed a delivery order for the first time. I have ordered from Wal-Mart and Sam's Club many times, just because they were closer. The pricing was similar, but I did get a great deal on Campbell's Chunky, only $1.66 per and got a few orders cheaper than anywhere else if I bought 2 instead of one. One item was out of stock, it was labeled "Low in stock" at the time of purchase. I got a text about a possible replacement. I received a picture of it, something the competitors don't do. The process was quicker and more seamless as well. Wal-Mart offers free delivery for $99 a year. However, my first time purchase with Meijer included a $10 off promo code. Most importantly, my $70 order got 8000 points, which I can use for free delivery on my next order. So as long as I place big enough orders, I get free delivery without paying for a membership. As far as Sam's Club, I have a $110 yearly membership that does NOT include free delivery. But you can save big time if you have a 2nd freezer. All in all, Meijer provided the best service and I look forward to ordering from them again. read more

This was our first in store shopping in months. For the last several months I've been using curbside. With Covid easing and us both having had our booster, we decided to venture into the store. To our surprise, they were pretty busy in the middle of the day on a Tuesday. The store was stocked pretty well, the only empty shelves I noticed were the paper products, just like every other retailer. Everything was going good until we tried to check out. This Meijer store has 26 check out lanes plus two self checkout areas . Only 2 checkout lanes were open. That being the case, the self checkout areas were packed with many people lined up waiting their turn. We got in line at one of the two staffed regular checkouts. The line snaked back into the shopping aisle. One woman behind us called the service desk and complained. That resulted in a young woman coming over to our area, looking at the line and just walking away. Nothing changed. Next, the lady doing the checkout on our lane was having an on and off conversation with another Meijer employee standing at the bagging area. No, the other employee wasn't helping or bagging, just carrying on a conversation! This also slowed the line considerably. We've mentioned for years that we didn't understand why Meijer invested so much money in 26 checkouts. There's never more than 2 or 3 open. This includes pre-pandemic. My wife said this experience reminded her why she doesn't like shopping at Meijer! read more

We rarely shop at Meijer. There's not really a reason, other than that there isn't one very near our house, and it just never comes to mind. But, recently this location was recommended to me by a friend, and I was looking for a specific item that I found here, so we decided to drive up and check it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, and the prices, at this Meijer location! Though we had only driven up to check it out and find a specific item, I ended up doing some grocery shopping as well, because of the awesome prices and I found some stuff I don't typically see at my local grocery. They also have a great beer, wine, and liquor selection. This location isn't the most convenient for us, but I think if you're in the area, or don't mind a bit of a drive, this is a great place for shopping, especially for groceries! read more

This is undoubtedly the most unprofessional, rude, unprofessional store I've ever been to! For over 2 1/2 years I have been harassed. Everything from the door lady talking to other customers beside me telling them im a thief, to having stuff taken from my cart from the door lady, to having stuff yanked from my cart, being accused of switching tags, and I could keep going! Right now I have my own rental space in the new ladies head. It's free rent. The sad part is the only person up there. That's friendly and nice is security. They've even taken my shopping bags out of my cart to where I had to put my stuff in my car without shopping bags. Every time I come in the floor. The door lady takes off running to let them know. I'm in the store so I started waving when I came in and saying I'm here everybody! Why let her have all the fun? And not seriousness it got to the point of stalking and harassment. Please ask them what they've got me doing in 2 1/2 years absolutely nothing. They have nothing against me. They never caught me doing anything and so at this point, it is harassment. I have shopped at this store since it opened. Good quality items, reasonable prices, and the cashiers are always pleasant. Upper management, however, is great disappointment. I purchased a Turbo Tax program on my usual grocery run, and was shocked with how high the total on my purchases were. Got home, checked the receipt, and the Turbo Tax was $106. So, I checked the on-line return policy for Meijer. Per the policy, the product was unopened, I had the receipt and it was only two days after purchase. My husband attempted to return it and was told they do not accept returns on Turbo Tax. Interesting, since that is NOT what the policy states. I printed out the policy, went back to the store and was told the same BS, this time with the claim they had been told by upper management NOT to accept any returns on Turbo Tax. Talked with 3 different people on the Customer Care line, all very professional, all surprised this was an issue, since they were not aware of this restriction. I was supposed to get a call from management today, didn't happen. So much for Customer Care. Well, congratulations, Meijer, you've lost this customer for life. Kroger, here I come. read more

We have a cat. She's better cared for than anyone else in the family. This joint sells wheat grass in little pots. We buy it here so that she can nibble on grass (it's good for the digestive system) and never have to set paw on the muddy yard. The selection of other goods here is pretty standard and the prices tend to be a little higher than at other groceries & big box stores in the area. The checkout experience is usually wretched. We like to shop in the dead of night because we are antisocial and hate being surrounded by throngs of mindless shopping cart zombies. The major issue with that here is that, even though there are usually a handful of employees clustered around the checkout lanes, the only open lanes are the self-checkout. I don't want to do it myself. I mean, if it's a half a dozen items, I can suck it up and just pretend I don't mind. However, I am of the strong opinion that spending a couple of hundred dollars on groceries should be rewarded with *not* having to put in the labor of looking up your own produce scan codes. I like Meijer in general. This is probably my favorite in the greater Louisville area... but maybe for the wrong reasons. The design is pretty much a big box, but it has somewhat of a contemporary-retro design and color scheme (which most folks don't care about). I like it because it pleases my peeps. Most folks familiar with Meijer agree that it is one of the best, freshest, and largest selections of produce in the area. The only thing better may be Whole Foods Market, but with only one in the greater area, it is not convenient to most. Compared to other big boxes, and in addition to the awesome produce selection, I like this store for the entire selection of food in general... good variety. In particular, there is a great aisle of just international products. Also better than other big boxes, the selection of toiletries, cosmetics, and medical related items is larger than most. Hidden treasure: Of all places, they have a good selection of car audio accessories, mostly cables and connectors for installation. While sale items at Meijer are good and plentiful, regular prices can be high sometimes... ridiculously high... you really have to watch out. This is one of the negative things about the store. Other negative: The electronics department is lacking and the men's clothing seems to be geared toward grand parents and behind a decade in style. read more

What you need to know about Meier is that it is my favorite grocery store in the Louisville area. They were the first in the area to really put their best foot forward on having different world foods. The rest of grocery is well stocked and seem to always have what I am looking for. The beer and liquor selections are pretty good. The hardware and electronic sections are adequate. Lastly the checkouts are somewhat less stressful to me than the competitors. Besides Kroger, I'd say Meijer is my favorite grocery store/supermarket. They have a large selection of produce, their meats are good quality and it's basically an upscale Walmart. This is the best place in the area to go grocery shopping. The produce is always fresh and they have just about anything you could need. The self checkout lines always seem to move at a good pace. While I'm not a fan of most big box stores Meijer does stand out as being privately owned, something there direct competitor does duplicate. This location is the the newest of the stores in the area so it does not suffer from the run-downness (I know its not a word) of the Jeffersonville store. Have an impressive selection of wines from around the world that puts many of the local liquor stores to shame. It is also presented in a very open attractive manner inviting ease of perusing. There book offerings are also impressive for a "super store" . There toy selection is not the best but that a problem of the entire chain and can not be faulted for the companies overall mistakes. read more

As far as big box stores go Meijer ranks somewhere above Walmart and below Target. The quality of their store brand products can be iffy and they don't have the Target cool factor. I probably average $500 or so a monthat Meijer. I went 12/8 and bought 3 items for Christmas...forgot to scan my Santa Bucks. I didn't think about going back last night so went tonight .. my receipt showed 12/8 and the Santa Bucks were for 12/8 also but wouldn't go ahead and give me the money I would have saved on them. It's only $17 so it isn't like the money is a big deal but had I remembered they would have been used last night. Wasn't like I bought something and then the coupon came out and I tried to scam them. The lady behind the desk was nice but whomever she talked to wouldn't even listed to her and she said "all she said was NO and hung up the phone". So I'm fairly sure that I will take back the items totaling $98 dollars plus tax and get a refund and then go price match them at Walmart. Doesn't save me any money but sure doesn't give Meijer my $98 either. read more

Including their managers. The floors were dirty and from looking at the shelves and main aisles it's clear they DON'T care about the condition of their store or their customers. I was very disappointed when I went into the store to look for a local sports team ballcap. On a shelf with ballcaps was a prominent sign, "40% Off All Activewear." The only "fine print" was that clearance items were not included in the sale. I scanned the cap and found that it was not $24, as marked, but actually $25 when scanned. I asked a couple of workers in the men's department about the discount. One of them did not know, but the other looked at me as though I was light in the head and gave me a song and dance explanation as to why a ballcap was not "activewear" (because you wear the T-shirts and shorts while working out, but a cap really isn't "active"). It was ridiculous, but it was more the attitude that irritated me greatly. Biting back a sarcastic comment, I told them the cap was scanning at a dollar more than the usual price and departed. I did find another ballcap as well as some T-shirts and purchased them. My point being that words matter, attitudes matter, and this is one customer who won't plan on returning to Meijer unless they have something I can't resist...and then hope it's not deceptively advertised. If an item isn't on sale, then a sign shouldn't be sitting on the shelf with only THAT item indicating it IS on sale. read more
