I can't remember the last time I went to this store and was actually able to get everything on my list. Consistently out of Chobani Coffee Creamer. But then other staple items randomly; coffee, dog food, and canned goods. I've used the pickup many times (unfortunately due to my work schedule) the staff is friendly but things get left behind, alternatives are weird and there's no number to contact to correct things. I haven't been refunded for the expensive oil they charged me for but never actually gave me despite finally finding a way to contact the store. Lines are always long. The app refuses to let me add a card and allows me out frequently. And don't even get me started on how expensive things are! The coupons are minimal. I had to use two different carts and both of them had bojangled wheels. The parking lot was orderly and this Meijer is on a corner so it's easy to access. I had to return bottles and I hadn't done that at this location. It's outdated - so you have to bring your bottles to the back inside corner. It's so weird rolling cans through the store! The main aisles were a bit too narrow because the pallets were taking up too much space. Also, the center aisle pallets were not stocked very well. The bagged salad section was wiped out. I felt like this Meijer was dirtier. I used self checkout because I had maybe 10 items or less. The process was smooth. read more

This week at this Meijer's was the worst shopping experience I ever had in my entire life. I'm not able to shop in store due to physical issues. But the pickup service is absolutely abysmal. Tuesday they were out of stock on so many items, I just canceled my order. Today was more of the same. I asked the attendant to check on one particular item that I needed really badly, and was told the store was completely out of that item. I hobbled in to check whether that was the case, and there were at least 100 cans of the item. Did he lie, or was he just lazy? When I mentioned the matter to the manager I was pretty much blown off. I can speak on behalf of their alcohol and snacks sections and they are top of the line! We stop at this Meijer when we're traveling through to Camp Kidwell. Back in 2012 I suggest our group to stop in here for snacks and booze and we haven't looked back since! They have tons of different kinds of beer, liquor and snacks for our weekend. Typically, the low quality beer is on sale, which is what we stop in for. Pringles and other chips, cookies and lunchables are typically on sale too. The store is very clean and organized and most of the registers are open, which is pretty rare for a grocery store it seems. read more

The greeters are rude and not helpful at all. Came on Friday with my mother who has mobility issues and there were no amigos on the HBA side so I asked the greeter if he could call the other entrance to see if they had one and I would and get one for her, he acted like the world was ending because he had to do something after being told there were no amigos at that end either my mother sat on the bench in the entry way and I went in to shop. I came back by the entrance 20 minutes v later to find her still sitting on the bench waiting for an amigo to come in I again asked the greeter if they had any at the other end and was told he couldn't call because he had already called for us I asked if hey could have a cart person see if there was one in the parking lot that they could bring in and was told he wad not able to do that since he had already called the other entrance for us. I told the greeter that this was unacceptable behavior for an employee since that is not a store policy and he just didn't want to have to do any work. Needless to say I left my cart with about $100.00 or more in items at the entrance and got my mother back out to the car and we went to Wal-Mart where we found a friendly and helpful greeter and where we were able to get all our groceries and a few extra things. Visiting my husband's family in Bloomingdale and we always take a drive to Kalamazoo for lunch and end up at Meijer for some shopping. Since my husband is Spartan alum we have to stock up on Spartan swag. On this day we scored sweatpants, hoodie, socks, license plate cover, and two t-shirts. The prices are awesome! We were surprised to also see Oakland Raiders shirts available and not so surprised to see Detroit Lion swag. I picked up a huge bag of cherry cough drops for less than a dollar and my husband got his nail clippers he needed. It was so hard to pass up all the Christmas candy that was on sale but I did. My daughter in law found two cute pairs of pajamas for the baby and they were 40% off, nice! The last stop was for a few groceries. Thank you Meijer for having an awesome bakery. You would think we had enough sweets with Christmas goodies, but alas, we still felt like some cinnamon rolls. The associate at checkout was friendly and the young gentleman bagging our groceries quick. read more

Went shopping on Friday 10/29/21. when I went to pay for my groceries, I had $10 plus in coupons, 90% were Meijer's , and $4.70 in bottle returns. As l went to record my purchase l noticed on my recipe that the cashier deducted my $4.70 bottle return but only $1.80 in coupons. I know that l can not prove this now that I'm home, but i just wanted other shopper's to pay attention when they deduct your coupons. Also l checked all the expire dates before I left home. I know that it's only a little over $8 but I took the time to use them and Meijer's are the one who sent them to me in the first place. Watch your cashiers when you use coupons. read more

I have repeatedly had a bad experience with a single employee at this location. Her name tag says Shelly K, but when the receipt prints out it said Rochelle. She has pushed a cart into me before at self check out, yelled at me for no reason, and argued with me and my friends- today she was just as rude and was ACTUALLY wearing a name tag unlike the last unfortunate times I've had to go through her lane. read more

The store is always moving their stuff around. Putting stuff in different aisles. They want you to stay in the store longer so you will buy more stuff. Never anybody around to ask where the new hiding place is, so you are forced to spend 20 extra minutes looking for stuff. They are manipulative and heard you to places like sheep. The deli is absolutely awful, lots of people working there but not waiting on customers, again, they want you to stay in the store longer so you'll buy more stuff. LIke all Meijers in Western Michigan, this one is well staffed with friendly, neighborly workers. This Meijers has a good selection of groceries, it's bigger and brighter than even other Meijers I've been to. In general the clothing and housewares are better quality than Walmart at comparable prices, maybe not quite as good as Target. The supermarket side has better choices than any other supermarket in the area, and of course Meijers is always open. More than adequate parking lot. read more

I needed a lock for a gym locker, one thing. A run in, run out situation. Wouldn't let me in to grab the one item. I understand it was kinda an asshole move to show up so close to closing time. But I needed one item and the man at the door admitted to closing before midnight. Not only that, he was extremely rude about it. Even the girl walking out was like yeah he harassed me too about how close I came in to closing time. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed. read more

The signage many times is not near the right product. And the wording on the signage is vague (you have to pretty much read the sku number to see if the sign is for the right product). Just today a stupid cashier rang up my kale as a honeydew melon (which cost $3 more). How you get those mixed up is beyond me. Selection of low calorie/light juice is terrible (which is very disappointing for a diabetic). Be sure to check your receipt to make sure the sales rang up right. Their flier advertised "buy 4 boxes of cereal and get one free", I was charged for the "free" fifth one. And the bathroom are always nasty and smell like poop. read more

Friendly staff, and they are always helpful! Every time I go in here and have a question or just a puzzled look on my face I seem to run into somebody who helps or gets somebody else for me. Don't bother to ask me when I'd like something to be ready when the minimum wait time is going to be two hours, on their absolute best day, no matter what they tell me it'll be. Every member of the staff behaves as though doing their job is a MONSTROUS inconvenience. Prescriptions are frequently dispensed incorrectly--wrong dose, short, incorrectly mixed--once had to return my kids' Amoxicillin three different times. Meijer really misses the mark with it's Passover display this year. No Matzah! Last year they had sugar coke (yellow cap bottles), this year there is none. I can live with that. Last year they had kosher for Passover chocolates and candy, this year there is none. I can live with that. Last year they had boxes of Matzah to buy, this year there is none. Most of the time you can find what you're looking for at Meijer. I have found in the last few years they are becoming more corporate level, and a lot of my favorite must haves are being discontinued/taken out of the set per corporate facings. For instance Mrs Dash items and they're soup mixes. When in need of those items, I will go pay a little more at Harding's, because they are still willing to order things they don't stock which Meijer is not. read more

Best produce in the area, good beer and wine selection, friendly staff, much cleaner and nicer that Wal-Mart. The folks that started Meijer's do a lot for West Michigan, Grand Rapids owes much of it's cultural growth (art, botanical garden's, educational monies) to the Meijer family and corporation. I came to pick up some adult beverages. I never knew that once the doors are locked at the gas station, they don't offer to sell to you regardless of it being during selling hours. They will walk to get what ever else wanted but not that. So I had no business there. read more

Well it's just Meijer, but really of all the ones in the area it's the nicest. Always very clean, aisles uncluttered, nice set up, easy to find items and they usually don't run out of sale items. I actually think for. Grocery store they have a nice selection of clothing too. One of the cleanest Meijer I've encountered. I recently placed an online order through the deli to be picked up at this location. When I hadn't received confirmation that the order was completed I called the store. The employee I spoke with said they hadn't received the order but took my order over the phone and told me she would have it ready within a half hour. She was AMAZING and had great customer service. I picked up my deli trays and took them to the work event hey were ordered for. Everyone loved the Royal Rolls and the double chocolate cookies! Thank you Meijer for accommodating my order on such short notice. read more

Meijer treats the employees like crap. They make the employees stay longer than their scheduled shift. If an emergency happens with your kids and you have to call in they hang up on you. They let the employees that doesn't do anything get away with everything and the people that do work they act like they don't work or know what they're doing. When you earn enough paid days off they don't want to give it to you and when you quit they still don't want to give it to you and when you want to transfer to another one they don't help when they're supposed to. I will never work for another meijer again a day in my life. read more

I have shopped meijer for almost 30 years. Loyal, yes. But meijer earned that loyalty. I like that they are a one stop shop. However I have noticed a few things going downhill that concern me. The bathrooms seem dated, and are ALWAYS dirty and smell bad. They have the best selection of fresh produce but it is always infested with fruitflies. Not a few here and there, they are everywhere. I hope some of these issues are addressed so it doesn't feel like I'm at Walmart. Otherwise meijer is the best store to shop. UPDATE: Thank you Meijer. The bathrooms have been updated, clean, and smell clean. And no more fruit flies in produce! I can't ask for more. read more

I liked this store until fairly recently, where they decided everyone should know about their charge card, and that they would aggressively push it in every customer that walks through the door. Earlier today I was approached at two different points in my shopping trip by employees trying to sell me their predatory card. I'm heading to Walmart down the street for at least a few weeks hoping they'll cool off on this practice. read more
