Employee ghost town. Waiting to check out is a nightmare experience while managers are busy stocking toilet paper and haven't a clue of what is going on in the store. And to the employees that do show up to work they should all receive merit raises for being berating by nasty customers that shop here and have to wait. Don't go before a holiday to shop for the buyers and regional staff are to busy taking tours and talking about no grocery stock in the store because they don't know what they are doing. Don't pick on the store employees who show up. Fire some store managers and visiting managers and make a positive impression on the employees who are there busting their butts and showing up who provide positive customer service brighten my day when I do shop at Meijer. Always an issue with sale items not ringing up correctly. Just recently bought Oscar Meyer Bacon which was suppose to be be BOGO only to find out we got charged $7.99 for each package. When we went to the service desk we got a very angry clerk that said "you probably bought the wrong ones!" So we went back to the display, looked at the sign and it just said Oscar Meyer Bacon (didn't matter if it was think cut, applewood or whatever). So went back to the desk ....this time "crabby pants" was not there and the girl behind the desk gave us a refund. You shouldn't have to fight for what is right!!!! People: make sure you look at your receipts! (now I know why they automatically give you a short receipt when checking out. You have to ask for a full receipt!) read more

I ordered a 10 piece fried chicken through Uber eats. I took a picture of the chicken was so old and dry. I am so disappointed they didn't give me a refund Uber eats so that's cool. Open early and very clean. Well stocked and friendly associates. I especially like the new deli bags, with the zip open/close feature.

Self checkout. Young kid was extremely nosey in my business of what I was purchasing. He wanted to scan my items before I was going to, which irritated me. Like F off man, if I need you I'll come up to you. Made my girlfriend feel like a dumbass, just because she scanned the wrong barcode doesn't mean you can boast about it. Nice store, good prices on many items, grocery prices a bit high on a few items, but watch for sale items, nice selection of home decor items, I'm generally happy with the selection of merchandise in the store, I'm been able to find nice items to give as when I have needed. Really like all the Meijer stores that have located around the south suburbs over the last ten years. They have large, brightly lit layouts...and you can see over the shelves...something that is a nice throwback. While they have loads of competition with Jewel, Walmart, Costco, Marianos, and Whole Foods...Meijer fits in a nice middle niche of these. Meijer pretty much offers everything a normal grocery store would...including pharmacy items and that makes it very handy. Meijer stores also usually have a gas station outside where the prices are very competitive. We keep trying Meijer stores and we keep being impressed. read more

I am always happy when a store offers curbside pickup so decided to give Meijer a try...no issues with online shopping. I was instructed to text a number once I arrived with name and parking # which I did, waited about te minutes before I called to let then know no one was coming out. They eventually came out after about 20 mins which defeats the purpose of me wanting to get it done quicker. They terminated me for taking off to help my mother who is pregnant and needed me to cover for her job that I also work part time we take care of an elderly couple that needs daily care and is a split shift. She cannot work that well going into labor just because her water hasn't broke doesn't mean it's not painful and I feel like it was a very non-understanding and passive aggressive environment I was scared to call off because of their reactions while I was throwing up so I went in anyway and threw up at work also employees are very unorganized at times and purposely do the bare minimum I also let them know well before hand the baby would be coming any point in time and I'd need the two weeks off read more

Don't bother ordering popular, fast-moving items from them -- they won't be there at your assigned pickup time. When you order an item online, they don't reduce their inventory in the system and set the item aside. It's a completely worthless ordering system -- not how it's supposed to work. Needed to stop for gas before I was out. Wanted to shop in the convenience store and to my surprise I was told that I couldn't because the associate was the only one in the store and that there has been robberies in the area. If that is the situation then management needs to have two associates on if this is around the time robberies have been going on. It's inconvenient that I have to do my shopping somewhere else when I'm already out and here. Won't be back. read more

First, let me say, Meijer, your sales are fantastic. 50-70% off clearance? That translates into some $5 shirts for me, and $1.50 clothing for the babies! I made the horrible mistake of going to the Orland Park store once. The Homer Glen Meijer is WORLDS above the Orland Park one. The produce is actually fresh, the aisles are well-lit, the stock is present and findable, and the staff doesn't look ready to go all "Deliverance" on you when you ask a question. The parking lot spaces are wide enough to fit a mid-sized car (which you think would be a given) even if another car is parked close to the line, and it isn't weirdly/dangerously diagonally aligned like at every Walmart in the burbs ever. Even the bathrooms are nice at this location. Normally at big box stores you end up with a hideous funk that hugs the bathroom walls like a misery fog of BM and bad decisions. Usually you see streamers of toilet paper flung every which-way except into the toilet too. This Meijer smelled and looked clean on all fronts, it was a non-Christmas miracle! I don't shop at Meijer very often, but this store is doing a lot to convince me I should. read more

Ever since they opened, I've hardly shopped elsewhere. Sure, some stuff may not be as cheap as Walmart, but I'd rather pay a few cents more at Meijer and deal with a clean and organized store, friendly employees, and see decent-looking customers who wear clothes that adequately fit them. This place has everything and I mean everything. Want to buy a paint canvas, sewing fabric, groceries and a TV all at the same time? Go to Meijer. Deals: Sometimes I walk in there and find unbelievable clearance items ranging from food to health products that are 50-75% off. Some assume they mark only food that's about to expire on clearance, however that's not always the case. I've bought food that didn't expire until 6 months from now. Since Dominick's turned into a Jewel, I've hardly gone back there besides for visiting the Chase ATM. Homer Glen definitely needed this. read more

This is for the online delivery service that they provide. I spent an hour shopping online and then another hour going back and forth with the "shopper" about what items were not available and what they can replace it with. The shopper was great and notified me every step of the way. However, once it came time to process my order she was not able to. She tried calling the service line and after that I receive a call from them saying that my order has been cancelled. They would not provide me with any explanation what so ever. I was going to just pick up the order, but I had many frozen items that were probably melted so I decided to not even waste my time. When I called Meijers customer support, they too were unhelpful and not able to give me any explanation as to why my order was canceled. I'm completely disappointed in Meijers's customer service and the entire experience . I have been a long time customer of Meijers, but will no longer be shopping there. My time has been wasted and this has also caused me unnecessary stress during an already stressful time. read more

Forget it. Not interested in shopping at a store spending lots of money and being treated like I was today. I picked up a prescription last night but forgot my coupon for $25 off a new prescription. I ask the clerk okay if I bring the coupon back later. He replies yes as long as it's not expired. Ok. So I use the $10 off for now. The next day I return for the swap out if coupons. I am told the original receipt is needed. Not happy but okay. I return a few hours later with the receipt, the $10 off coupon and the $25 coupon. Now I'm told there's nothing they can do. The $10 is activated. I can't get the difference. That's just poor customer service. Really over $15 you want to lose a pharmacy and grocery customer. Well you just did. I don't have time to play games jumping through hoops to get a lousy $15. Jewel Osco here I come. read more

I am digging this place. I have been to Mejier before and they are nice, but this one is shiny and new. The selection of things even during the opening week blow away the other local shopping options. The produce is nice and the meat counter was knowledgeable and bountiful. The prices are average across the board. Some things are cheaper here somethings are not.I don't know why I was expecting deal after deal, but I didn't find it. But it was ok, my grocery bill wasn't any worse that it would have been across the street. I can't give you too much on the non-grocery side off the building but it was bigger than the grocery part so I have my hopes up. Keep your eyes peeled for an update. Meijer's sucks! The ONLY store that would not give you product availability over the phone. With the Coronavirus going on people are hoarding toilet paper, bottled water and hand sanitizer. The hand sanitizer I could understand, but toilet paper and water? No running water in your home folks? Can't drink tap water? I'm out doing my "regular " grocery shopping and because they're hoarding all the toilet paper the shelves are emptying as fast as it's being delivered. So any other store will tell you yes or no on product availability, but Meijer keeps it top secret. They tell callers they have to come in, can't give info over the phone. Oh, so they expect people to drive all the way there, park, walk all the way into the store and ....oh, .............NO TOILET PAPER!!! Really?? Is that how you accommodate your guests and instead you inconvenience them? When your staff answers the phone, what's so hard about replying yes or no LIKE ALL THE OTHER STORES? Well guess what, you could stick your toilet paper up your *** !!! read more

Very poorly run store, always out of items whether it be grocery Staples or non common in items that you would go to Jewel or Meijer for. Employees usually have an attitude when it comes to looking for items that again are out of stock and usually in backstock they haven't put on floor or don't know where a items location is.the sad part is that this store wasn't built that long ago and can be such a better store read more

This gas station has severely mentally challenged cashiers. Been going here for a few months and they either are playing games with cash and the register or are that challenged they can't operate it properly and if you mess them up with adding a lottery transaction to your sale, watch out, they get so confused it's astonishing. read more

I come here and shop every Tuesday and Thursday at Meijer in Homer Glen for my parents.. Always have had a good experience, until today. Cashier was very rude! Caitlyn H does not need to be working with the public! Ho hello no thank you also rolled her wyes when I said I had 2 orders. But after being rude then when all the groceries were bagged and i was still paying...I had to pay for stamps on a 3rd order because I forgot...my fault. She stood there and waited to ring up the next customer until I FINISHED AND PUT ALL MY GROCERIES in my cart... she couldn't even help me put one bag in my cart!?!? Not only did she waste company time.... but my time, and the next customers time? You never know who you're going to wait on because I had 3 back surgeries and I really didn't appreciate putting 10 bags of groceries in my cart????!! Jewel is right across the street!!! read more

I went to visit this new store. I wanted to get some salads for the party I was having over the weekend. I brought the salads home and my friends said the one potato salad didn't taste right, so I tried it and it was sour. I brought it back later that day only to get a "rude" person at the deli. Telling me they just made the salads that day. I was not impressed at all. Still walked out with the sour salad. Lost a paying customer. read more

I was in attendance here the opening weekend so everything was in perfect order in perfect condition and the staff all pretty awesome. I can see this place being my one stop shop location for my future needs. The store was in perfect condition because I was there day three after opening. Can they keep this up???
