I went to pick up flowers I had purchased through a school fundraiser where I was supposed to pick them up this past weekend. I fully acknowledge that I was late picking them up, and I apologized for that immediately. I explained to the owner, Donna, that I had tried calling several times and that honestly, I didn't even need the flowers if it was an issue and that I had purchased them mainly to support the school. Instead of simply telling me where to find them, Donna began yelling and swearing at me, along with several "I don't care" and "whatever" comments. I went outside to collect what I had purchased, thinking the interaction was over. She then followed me outside and began yelling and swearing at me again, calling me a liar and insisting that I had never called.I never raised my voice. I repeatedly asked her to please stop yelling and swearing at me, got into my car, and she continued yelling as I drove away. I completely understand that I should have picked up my order over the weekend. I admitted that, apologized multiple times, and was not expecting anyone to accommodate me beyond allowing me to collect what I had already purchased, but even told her if that wasn't possible okay. Being late was my mistake. But I don't believe it warranted being screamed at, sworn at, followed outside, and called a liar. I've honestly never been treated that way by a business owner before. It's especially disappointing because I've supported M&D Farms for years and purchase many of my vegetables there every spring. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning. I'm sharing this simply because I would want to know about an experience like this before choosing where to spend my money locally. Ida's Garden Paradise is a great alternative and will be getting my business here on out.

The grocery computer system is never synchd with the registers and prices are always, always wrong. I spend more time at the service desk EVERY time I shop at this store. On the last bears Saturday at 3:00 PM there were no hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and very few wings in the warmers. Why not any contingency plans for food or bodies to support customers? This is not the case at the Palos store. I hope the next time I shop, there is a condescending greater than God Jewel/Osco corporate Rep in the store that can fix things, but I'll have to quiet their criticizing first to get some customer service. I will continue to get my Px here but will make great effort not to shop at this store. I have shopped here for more than 20 years and will be done. I hope the friendly and hard working staff continue to stay here.

All in all we were happy to leave with Fannie May candy to take home since we are unable to find Pixies and any of the chocolates in Florida.
