Lines are always a mess, takes forever to get out. The remodeled self check out is a joke. It's become an absolute free for all so make sure you're buying a baseball bat each time you go since you'll need it to beat people over the head with so you can get to a register and GTFO before you get trampled by big Rhonda and her sister Karen read more

I only go if I have too. It seems to have went downhill as far as customer service and cleanliness. Clientele is mostly illegals and refugees. Not impressed. Seems like a bunch of cheap worthless crap that the store is making a huge profit on. read more

I see this walmart has had plenty of bad reviews about customer service. The employees here are so rude. So ridiculous it's almost laughable. Management doesn't care about customer service. They only care about profits. I try to avoid this location. The reason the employees are so rude and disrespectful is because Management allows it. Management is just as rude. They set the bar. After my last experience I vow to never return to this location. No wonder Walmart is closing stores. read more

I paid by using a cashier. She Rang everything up. I walk 20 feet and someone who I can barely understand wants to see my receipt. I say excuse me twice simply because I cannot understand what he is saying. Someone who doesn't work there walks by, gives me a dirty look, and says "he wants your receipt." As she walks by, she turns to the man she's with and says "what an @sshole" about me. So now I'm upset, frustrated, and angry all because some guy wants to see a receipt to check my goods after just paying a cashier 20 feet earlier. Two visits, two days, and I get stopped. WALMART, YOUR SYSTEM SUCKS. Going back to target where they don't ask. read more

The girl Bri working at customer service needs an attitude adjustment. About a week ago, there was a long line of people waiting for her to come back from finding a manager. She comes back laughing and texting on her phone. She was still texting and laughing while helping the people in line. Today she just mumbled something to me. I think she actually said thank you this time but I'm not sure. read more

Place is trash. Walk in tonight around 8pm with my 8YO and an employees smoking weed righ in front between the 2 main doors. My 8YO asking what that smell is. Employees shuffling around everywhere offering zero help. They close one of the front doors after 7pm. Im guessing the trashballs that shop there rob the place blind. Cops out front quite a bit. Sure doesnt feel like new lenox. read more

Today is 12/29 and I went to return a Christmas gift. I waited a few days so that I'd avoid crowds. I usually don't go to this location because my nearest Walmart is in my own town but since I was in the area I thought I'd go to this one. I walk in and go to the Service Desk. There is a lady at the register finishing her transaction so I didn't have to wait at all. I proceeded to walk up and say Hi to the girl behind the counter. Nothing. I said, "How's it going?" And she proceeded to continue to not answer and simply scan my exchange. I then said, "Oh that good huh?" Still nothing. I think I got a smirk. She proceeded to finish my transaction and hand me my card and then simply said the amount on the card. I gave up and walked away. Walmart I get it you're hard up for employees I really do. But can you get someone who at least has a responsive person behind the CUSTOMER SERVICE desk who is customer service oriented. Sheesh. read more

Staff is so f'ing rude. Store is disgusting. Absolutely terrible. There are spills everywhere, if you ask the staff for help they will IGNORE YOU- they will WALK AWAY. Unacceptable. read more

Boooooooooo! Cluttered. Dingy. The employees were cool and helpful, but it's clear the company treats this Walmart like trash...I make it my business to go here if I exhausted all other options. read more

No one expects excellent service from a Walmart. So I set the bar accordingly for this review. The New Lenox Walmart is among the worst the company has to offer. The store is typically out of stock on items and messy. At one time I had placed an online order with store pick up and received my text confirmation that the order was ready for pick up. I drove to the store only to be told that the item was not there. Why did I receive a text message stating otherwise??? Of course, the employee was clueless. But wait, there's more! It happened to me a second time. Shame on me. You know, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... Although Walmart is closer to me, I will often drive past them to go to Meijer and pay slightly higher prices for a better experience. And, there is always Amazon who is infinitely better than Walmart for online purchases AND, way better at customer service for those rare instances when Amazon makes a mistake. Attention Walmart, you better address your blatant short-comings or you will join the ranks of Sears, Carsons, Circuit City, etc. read more

I just had the worst customer service experience in my life! I'm so disappointed and was told to check with the supervisor (Jose) for my concern and Jose instead of working on a service recovery and help me to solve the issue, he started laughing and making a joke for his colleagues to laugh at, wow good job Walmart leaders on training your associates to make fun of customers!!!!! I asked to speak with a manager and was told that he left, not sure how a store is still opened without a manger, who is running the business, a bunch of little kids!!!! read more

It's so sad that stockholders are still making money off of this piece of garbage store. And that's the bottom line folks... they can care less about employees, customers and the sad state of their stores. New Lenox is not the only walmart dump... Sam Walton I'm sure is rolling in his grave. I shop at Jewel 95% of the time now... only go to Walmart for my prescriptions and dog food. If CSV wasn't such a pain, I would get my scripts there. And I'm seriously considering Chewy for dog food so I never have to step foot in this place again. Walmart.... you've going down. Start seeing stores going out of business in the near future. Then what will your stockholders think? read more

Do not expect to get any curbside pickup in any sort of timeframe that one would consider normal. I have been here 23 minutes waiting for my order. Followed all the correct procedures and nothing. I called the number on the signs, no answer. Then after 11 minutes, I called back. Someone answered and was so disinterested in what I had to say. This is the worst service in town. Every other Walmart blows the doors off of new Lenox. read more

I have stopped shopping at this Walmart as well as my neighbors. They want you to spend your time doing their job. When I have a full cart of groceries, I don't want to self check out. That's what cashiers get paid to do. It is also one of the most unfriendliest Walmart that I've shopped at. There are a few good employees, but most of them never smile or even bother to ask if you need help. Most of the time you can't find anyone to help. The shelves are messy most of the time so you can't find what you're looking for. Customer service is last on the list for this Walmart. I won't go there anymore because I've given too many chances that maybe I caught them on a bad day. Every time I went there was a bad day. I've chosen Meijer instead. Walmart needs to see how they run Meijer stores! read more

Poor Customer service/lack of management. Given false information in-store regarding a return. I was told I would not get my money back if I tried to return an item that was already set up in their system to be returned to ANY walmart. Seems like the store was enforcing a policy not shared with their corporate office after getting off the phone with customer service. Or they have an issues with FedEx delivery and pickups that they are passing on to the customer. Either way bad business practices. read more

One name. Brenda. God forbid you ask her for assistance or ask her to do her job. She works in the self checkout (near the grocery and pharmacy area) so it's not she's actually working. As a current employee of that walmart. Between disrespectful customers and poor management I do not recommend this walmart for a job or to shop at. I live all the way in joliet and drive a good 25mins at the most just to get yelled at by customers because they're i can't return an item or sent to do another job in another department that isn't mine. For all the customers that's going off on us about all the self checkouts all i'm going to keep saying is call 1-800walmart i'am a 1.0 walmart associate i'am only here for a check stop coming at me for something i don't have control over. want to yell at someone call walmart or get in touch with the CEO Doug Mcmilon maybe he can help you. read more

This Walmart is a dump with empty shelves and stock so high you can't reach them. NOW, to add insult to injury, they are blocking the isles on both sides with boxes of stock so you can barely get by them to shop. These are catastrophes just waiting to happen. If a fire breaks out, a shooting, or ??? you won't have a chance to get out. People complain, but no one seems to care about correcting these issues. Time to shut this customer unfriendly store down. read more

I called for a application and the lady who answered was rude and hung up on me it was 8/21/2020 at 2:55pm.

Idk if it's just my luck...but this Walmart's customer service sucks. Even when I've called on the phone to ask someone to help me....she sounded like I was bothering her. Really? The cashiers I've dealt with were also not very efficient; just not fast enough it seems. The store does seem clean , & it should bec it's fairly new. Even the customer service desk is slow. MAybe staff is tired & short handed--IDK?! I just wish the customer service was better & the cashiers to be faster.....more sense of urgency! I dread shopping here, but bec of it's proximity to our house...I end up @ Walmart. They could still improve on the customer friendliness....& I don't mean greeting me 'HI" & "good bye" @ the door. I do have to say that the bakery staff does seem very friendly. Parking is great also. read more

PROS: Clean store, polite employees, Dunkin Donuts inside, better carts, overall - a much better managed store than the Walmart in Lockport, IL. CONS: None yet. read more

DO NOT SHOP THIS STORE. On the way out of the store, an employee grabbed my arm for politely declining to show my receipt while pushing my cart full of BAGGED ITEMS out the door. To my knowledge, the employee was not disciplined and is still lurking near the exit doors. Would she do the same to a child that didn't show their receipt? This employee needs to be disciplined, re-trained, or fired. Further, it is Wal-Mart's stance that they did nothing wrong and they are focusing on the fact that I pointed my finger at the employee and told her not to touch me. I am allowed to do whatever I need to in order to end their employee's unlawful grabbing of my arm. They had no reasonable grounds or probable cause, thus they had no right to touch me. Further, my request for a response from a manager has been IGNORED for 7 days and counting... Edit: 12/5/12: STILL BEING IGNORED by Wal-mart management! Management refuses to return phone calls. 14 days and counting... read more

The worst Walmart ever. *The staff is rude. Test them. See if they talk to you: see if they say hi, see if they say thank you. They treat you like you a a bother, management included. I know. Cause I have now talked to a manager here 4 times over the past year. my daughter laughs at this now and has been keeping score. In our last 15 visits we have been addressed 4 times. *The time when the deli clerk put a salami under her arm and walked around. (Yummy armpit salami!) this brings up another point... Why can't the figure out how to Use a number system? Why do we the customers need to referee ourselves? Oh and another deli gem.... If the staff wants to leave on time they clean the equipment early and only use one slicer. So you may have three paid employees there, but only one slicer. And they don't care. *the time the cake decorator quit while I was there and I got to participate in the excitement of this event, and no one could figure out how I could order a cake. So they told me to go to another Walmart. They couldn't even call it in for me. *the time they had two lanes open, and I waited 25 mins to check out. You know why? The manager told me it was so that they could close one set of doors. Maybe next time she could skip the ridiculous self serving reason and just open a register. I'm only writing this review in hopes that corporate reads it and does something. Send in a secret shopper and check it out. This has got to be a management and hiring issue cause the other local walmarts are nothing like this. I hate going to this store and tell everyone I know how bad it is. Do something about it. read more

Horrible customer service! I just went there to buy a vacuum they said was in stock online. I asked the young girl in electronics if she could help me look. She barely made eye contact and said whatever is out. I asked her to please help and she came over barely helped and then walked away when nothing was there soo soo lazy. I asked her to look in back and she said she couldn't. Then I went to the customer service desk he also was lazy and lied and said they can't look in back. He told me to buy it online and come back. I don't have time to do that I was there now. I finally asked a manager who said she was confused why other people said they couldn't go in back so it clearly was not the policy just lazy people! Waste of my time! Found a similar one on Amazon. You lost a customer and if you keep hiring people who are lazy and don't have work ethic your going to continue to lose customers. I was recently in the New Lenox Walmart and asked where I could find horseradish. The first two people I asked barely raised their heads and said "I don't know". Finally a tall woman pointed at the yogurt and it's there. It seemed like a strange place for it so I responded "by the yogurt?" She became very rude and told me if I didn't believe her I could go look around. I told I did believe her since she works at the store she should know. Then she said, " I don't know because I work hre, i just know because I know how to shop" then she watched me struggle to reach it at the back of the top shelf (im 5'1') I finally got aggravated and asked the giant woman to please grab it for me. She did and seemed really annoyed with me and turn a walked away. read more

Awful service CONSTANTLY. With the playstation 5's release this holiday season I was looking to try and get one for my little brother and I. First my father had gone in and asked the electronics desk worker if they knew when more would be coming in. Their response was "When will you people understand we are out of them". Great customer service right there. Now personally, I went out at 5 am two separate times to try and get one since some stores had been selling them in store only. My first attempt was alright. The woman who was running the line was nice and told us straight up she didn't know if they had them or not. That was alright. We were let in 1 at a time and headed to electronics. The service person didn't come in at the time we were told, and all we got after that was an attitude. Two other workers came to talk to use. 1 of them was alright, 1 was not. We were told electronics would not be coming in until 8 o'clock. Why were we not told that earlier? After that, another potential customer asked them to scan a barcode to see when shipments come in (fairly normal as you can just find the code in 1 online search). The worker who was already snippy with us refused to scan the code solely because she did not have a scanner. Is there not one behind the desk? They constantly refused to help us until the other worker just went and got one and checked for us. She told us the shipment came thursday night so they would be available for sale Friday morning. Between that, several of my friends and myself went in or called to ask if they would for sure have them. Every response was yes. Here's the good part. A different worker was running the line today. After everything that had happened and being told from multiple sources there would be PS5's for sale, we were told again that they were unsure if they have them but would check. WE WAITED 2 AND A HALF HOURS OUTSIDE IN THIRTY DEGREE WEATHER FOR A RESPONSE AND TO BE TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY. How?. I cannot understand how a stores communication can be that bad. A manager came out and told us they'd have 6-10. Literally 20 minutes later the line runner comes back and tells us they wont be selling any. There are so many things I want to say about that but I shouldn't. My friend had asked the tech lady when she came out earlier what would be happening with sales and she said the people who camped out all night had first dibs. She came back and instantly accused my friend of being a Liar and that she had never said that and told him word for word "I can refuse service to whoever I want to if they are being aggressive, so I can guarantee you right now you don't get one". WOW. After the line got in a commotion our line organizer basically just told us to go home. Somebody asked why they didn't tell us they weren't selling any earlier. The response we got was "I don't know". I live 2 minutes away from this Walmart, and I can say I will now drive the 7 extra minutes to Target regardless of what it is I need. (Not sure why it says im from San Fran, hopefully that doesn't discredit this review. New Lenox/Joliet resident all my life.) read more

I don't know how Walmart trains their employees, but they need to start over . Out of the 20 or so employees you encounter while shopping , maybe 3 or 4 will even make eye contact with you . Occasionally you'll get a hello or a smile , but most of the time not . Let's be honest , we all shop there because everything is cheapest there . But isn't the customer of value anymore ? The people who do the training might want to stress to the employees that the customer at least deserves a hello read more

Tried calling the store today to ask a simple question. called four times and NEVER got an answer, only a disconnect every time after about 40 rings. The customer service in this particular store gets worse and worse all the time. I realize it`s the Christmas season, but not having anyone who can pick up a telephone is way over the line as far as poor customer service. The reason for the call becomes secondary to the lack of concern for your customers. You can`t help them if you`re not even willing to pick up the phone. It`s the Holidays and I`m willing to bet there isn`t a single additional employee in the store because of that. Pretty sad. read more
