Printer ink shoppers beware when returning ink cartridges!!!! Went to your customer service return with this item due to it not being compatible with my printer. The associate tells me that you will not honor a refund as it is your policy to accept ink returns. I stated that the refund process was processed on the app and that a barcode was sent to me to honor the refund. When I asked to see a manager, she then proceeded to call me a fuckin asshole in front of 3 other customers. Very professional associates you have working here. If she does not like her job, then quit and work somewhere where poor customer service is tolerated and put up with. On March 25 I purchased an aquarium heater from the Bridgeview Walmart. When I got home and opened the box, there was no heater inside. I brought it back to get either a replacement or a refund. They were out of stock on them so they couldn't replace it, but refused to give me a refund, stating that decision "was from on high". There were ways of handling this even if they didn't what to do the refund. They could have provided a replacement once they were back in stock or had one from another store brought over to be the replacement. This is the closest Walmart to where I live, but I may have to find another Walmart or another store to shop at. read more

Returning hubcaps purchased on line. The cs rep did not greet, I tried to show her my return receipt on phone but she didn't look at it. I told her I purchased the wrong size, she stated what is it? In a crabby manner. I told her hubcaps. She told ne this is nit a superstore so I can't return there. I told her I can return to any store based on email from Walmart. She told me no. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She walked over to her supervisor who was talking to some cashiers. The rep came back and said no can't return there. I asked to talk to the supervisor. The rep went back and was talking and laughing with the other ladies. The supervisor came back to say no can't take them. I wanted to show her the email but she said take the merchandise but she's not getting credit. Again I tried to show her the email. She walked away, talked to someone else and came back to say I didn't know what kind they were we can take it. No apology nothing which of course I said something. She came back to argue with me. I live in Indiana now, but return to this Walmart from time to time when I am visiting my parents who live in Oak Lawn; specifically on July 24th for my Mother's birthday. They sometimes tease me at home because when I was younger I absolutely refused to go into this Walmart store with my Mother because it was "embarrassing" to be seen or associated with the types of people inside. Well let me tell you what....a quick revisit 20 years later and I reached thee EXACT same conclusion. If my local Fort Wayne, IN Walmart was this horrible I would NEVER EVER shop there again! I still feel embarrassed....embarrassed that this store now represents the formerly clean, caring, and auspicious community I grew up in. Employees aren't only unfriendly but just plain RUDE and uncaring, disorganized messes of disheveled products all over the store, store appears "dirty" and leaves you with a grimy feeling upon leaving, and while they may not have any control over their customers' wardrobe choices, but it's worth noting that half the people shopping here are wearing pajamas (mind you I was there in the afternoon - my receipt is dated 3:17pm) it certainly speaks to the clearly low standards exhibited by their patrons. It is well worth the short drive North on Harlem Ave or slightly higher prices to never shop here again. read more

Again this place is a big disappointment. We placed a pick up order and waited to be notified when our order was ready. As we drove over we informed them we were coming. When we arrived we notified them that we were parked in a certain spot. We waited 15 minutes before we had to call and ask them what was happening. This is by far the WORST Walmart !!!! Don't get me wrong, I love the deals I can find at Walmart, but this particular store is filthy, unstocked, has the worst check out experience you'll ever encounter. There is literally ONE actual human cashier that basically only works a few hours a day. The rest is ALL self checkout and the amount of people actually stealing is right out in the open!!! When she got to the checkout line, and was wondering why the line was not moving, the cashier said that the gal she rang up had to go out to her car to get her credit card.. my mom had a melt down because she can only stand up so long...that cashier should have voided that sale and let the chick check out when she comes back... mom said there was a bunch of employees standing there watching her complain, no manager was around to get the line moving and she was running late for her PATSE bus. Please make sure when you buy electronics that you open them up to see if there in there . Since they take games back now . I purchased a switch game from then as a Christmas present they open then deal box there was no game nor was there a book either . I then waited in the store for a while and then had to leave to an call Nintendo because they said they couldn't do anything for me . Visited this store many times over the years and normally I leave without picking up what I came for. Well this time was different. It started a few days ago I was looking for a particular item for my son and according to the web site they were available for in store pickup. Well I went in did not find them in the aisle where the web site said they were so after asking 3 different employees and having w of them tell me they never carried the product I went up to the customer center to see if I could get some actually help. The Woman behind the counter at first told me the web sites count was off and I showed her the screenshot from 2 min ago and said this is from 2 min ago. So then she called Kelly the warehouse manager who proceeded to scan the bar ode on their scanner and it showed 11 in stock. She went to the back and came back took my information and said once she gets to the pallets she would text me and put the item behind the counter 2 fans later she came through on her promise. I wish there were more employees like Kelly at this location because she definitely came hrough and helped me make sure my son has a great Christmas. I bought some outdoor solar lights; a package of eight. I put them all in but the last two and found that it was missing a stake. I went in fully expecting an apology and for them to replace the stake. But no. Manager Tiffany in garden told me that bringing in the box with the receipt wasn't enough. I needed to go home and pull out all of the lights that I had spent time putting into the ground and put them all back in the box. I needed to bring in the entire thing so they could swap it out. Evidently the original box minus one steak was completely different than a new box with one less stake. (Walmart reasoning- or just being mean spirited?) I don't know how many solar light stakes Tiffany has pulled out of the ground, but it's not an easy task. I'm 60 yrs old and it was hard enough getting them into the ground! Tiffany, your customer service skills are very poor. I won't quit going back to the Bridgeview Walmart again. read more

Those of you that follow my reviews know I tend to be pretty upbeat and fair about reviews of these businesses. As such, I have said before that I do not like leaving a negative review, but I felt that I had to in this case in regards to the Walmart in Bridgeview, IL. As this Walmart is in my area, from time to time I go here as a matter of convenience, not because this is necessarily where I want to shop. After going in on 7-3-18, I am convinced that I don't need to go in there for convenience anymore either. Now mind you, I already know that save for a few people, the customer service here is abysmal!!! That reminds me...Donna, Kathi, Sarah, and Shante are about the only people there who consistently provide excellent customer service and is always pleasant. Mind you, this is after having dealt with them for years at this location. Everyone else...to quote the classic Redman song: "Whateva Man". On 7-3-18, I went in to return a bike. Now, I do not have a large vehicle and it's a bit difficult maneuvering it in and out of my car. I came at 7:00am, which is when I have normally come in the past to return something. This way, I beat the eventual long lines. Anyhow, I got there at 7:03am. After pressing that keypad to notify an associate that I was there and waiting nearly ten minutes, someone finally came. I won't mention her name but it begins with "L". I let her know why I am there, to return a bike, and she quickly tells me that the area is only open 8a-8p (which she said is true of all Walmarts, something I know is NOT true). I ask since when, because I have been there numerous times at 7am to return things. She tells me for about three years, which I corrected her on because one of their employees, the aforementioned Sarah, was the one who was usually opening when I came through. She tells me Sarah had been gone for a year, which again I know is not true because I just saw her working there a few months ago. Ok so I know she's lying, but I direct the conversation back to the bike I was returning, asking her if she wouldn't mind helping me out so I wouldn't have to drag it back to the car. She barely lets me finish my sentence before telling me that she didn't have a drawer, to which I told her I didn't need money back, as it was an online return. She tells me she can't do anything and literally walks away from me while I am standing there. If the Customer Service desk hours have changed, I have absolutely no issue with that; but this was definitely a case of not what you say, but how you say it. This person was dismissive, not helpful whatsoever, and extremely rude for walking away from me while I was asking for help so I wouldn't have to drag the bike back to the car. Now, I would rather just go to Target in Orland Park or in Tinley Park as their customer service is wonderfully consistent and light years ahead of the vast majority of the employees at Walmart's Bridgeview location. As a longtime customer service professional (20+ years in support services management) and a current college professor who teaches customer service in one of my Communication Studies courses, Walmart really needs to do a better job of weeding out people who display such negativity and are willing to provide customer solutions, not create or exacerbate problems, especially for a transaction that literally would have taken seconds to complete. This Walmart, by far has the rudest workers I have ever witnessed. My wife and I visited this walmart a half hour before closing, and the people working were uncomfortable and frustrated with the customers. My wife was in the cosmetics aisle and one of the workers had the nerve to comment to her, " I don't understand why people shop at this time of night," mind you it was only 9:30 pm. As we continued shopping, 2 other workers teamed up together grunting, huffing and puffing, clearly annoyed with the shoppers and yelling back to each other, "I'm supposed to get off at ten... I'm supposed to get off at ten." It was clear they were eager to get off work and took it out on the shoppers. If they don't like their job, quit or suck up the pride that you have a job! This store is substantially less busy than Countryside which is great. This review is just for the ammo section in sporting goods. They have ammo as cheap as online, cheaper if you include shipping, and buying it was really easy. Walmart had ammo for about $14.50 plus $2.50 ammo tax while the gun range has ammo at $27.50. read more

I went to WalMart after work today, 12/13/2019, to pick up a few items that I ordered online and grab a few thIngs I needed. The pick up area was not very packed but the associate was having a difficult time finding the rest of my order. She was very pleasant and apologetic. It had to be about a 30 minute wait or more to pick up items that were supposedly ready for pick up. I decided to sit and wait for the woman to find the rest of my order and then I was approached by the male associate that was standing at the exit doors. He asked me if he could see my receipt... I politely told him no. Then he walked away. I was still waiting to pick up the rest of my online order that was already paid for. A few minutes later the previous associate working the pick up area returned with the missing items. I signed for my pre-purchased items and headed to the exit. Then I attempted to show him my receipt. He would not look at it. That's odd. Why approach me while I was waiting for my online order if you did not feel the need to look at my receipt? I was very embarrassed by this incident. I have never been randomly approached by the associate at the exit door while sitting in a separate area waiting on a pre-purchased item. The associate at the exit informed me that he didn't know I was still waiting for the rest of my pick up order as he was wondering why I would not let him see my receipt a few minutes prior. I told him that was not the reason I would not let him see my receipt. I was in that area over 30 minutes as I was originally the 4th person to pick up items. I was the only person he approached and asked to see the receipt for items purchased online while seated in that area. I told him I felt targeted and discriminated against as I was seated looking at my phone in the pick up area and never attempted to leave from that area without signing for my items. I was actually writing a review about the long wait for pick up and the compassionate and empathetic associate that was trying to find my items. He denied discriminating against me; however, it is important to note that I do not think he knew this unprovoked and unwarranted inquiry into my purchase is discrimination based on his bias against people that look like me. Please review the tape and have your employees take some sensitivity training and/or profiling training. I was very very embarrassed. He denied that was the reason for approaching me while I was waiting for the rest of my order, but I was literally on my phone and gave him no reason to say anything to me or leave his post by the exit doors. This occurred between 6:15pm and 7:30pm. The two stars are for the associate at the pick up area. She was very kind and tried her best to find my things expeditiously. I just can't give a higher rating based off the last associate I saw as I left the building. read more

This location is the worst place ever. Only two cash registers are open even though there are a bunch of customers waiting in line. Last time I came and ended up returning my items because I had ice cream and by the time my turn comes, the ice cream will melt. Also the parking lot has many holes and too small that your car ends up getting scratched from how small the parking lanes are. They make all this money and don't care about customer service.
