My first negative experience at the Hartland Meijer but it was thoroughly disgusting. I bought a package of precut certified angus beef stew meat to discover when I got home that the fresh pile on top was just hiding rancid meat below. I am appalled that their meat dept would try to hide this and made profits off of customers by filling with low quality meat and still charging more by weight. The meat smelled so foul when I opened it up at home the same day and the date was still 3 days away. I am disgusted by this Meijer for treating customers this way. Do better read more

I have been shopping here for 15 years and am displeased with the self checkout system. Either Meijer can trust it's customers to be their own cashiers or they can hire cashiers to operate the registers if they can't. But when an employee makes a comment about you trying not to look like you're stealing a 2 liter at the self checkout it is disrespectful and unacceptable. If you want a better shopping experience go elsewhere. read more

Bottle Return - 31 clean, undamaged Miller Light and Mike's rejected because of damage or claim that Meijer didn't sell the brand. Customer Service - One person working while four in line wait. Got my $3.10. Needed a bar of Dial Antibacterial soap for skin rash treatment. Only choice was a package of eight for $10.00. Tariffs? Come on! BTW, I checked the cans for the MI 10 cent stamp. read more

Big shoutout to management today 10-20-23 just before midnight at the Hartland location. They had no cashier lanes open, only self checkout. Forced to use self checkout with no training and refused to help or offer a discount at all. $150 of groceries got dumped on the floor for extremely poor customer service. read more

I would post zero. The amount of times I've found HAIR in my deli items is absolutely revolting. Twice I've had sushi with dark black hairs embedded into my rolls. Wasted too much money for these prices. read more

I give this bad review because of the deli it's supposed to be open till 9 PM. tTwice a week I come here to try and get lunch meat at 8 PM and the lady back there will just stare at me multiple times and not come help me, but I'm guessing because it's towards the end of the night and she just wants to go home But this is the only time I can get out to get my lunch meat because of my job, and I'm ignored every time.. The rest of the departments at this Meijer is great no complaints otherwise. read more

Why are there no hooks in the bathroom for jackets or purses? It makes going to the bathroom difficult if you don't want to set your stuff on the floor (ewwww). Beyond the bathroom issue the rest of the store is generally well stocked. read more

Love this location! Never overcrowded & staff is always willing to assist. Great selection of anything you need & produce is always fresh. Con: On this particular trip the bottle return area was so filthy with what I assumed was pop/beer all over the floor. Had to rinse the bottoms of our shoes in the sink before proceeding through the store to stop from sticking to the floor. Yuck. read more

Only reason I choose to come to this location is because it's less than 10 mins away. But not only that, 90% of the time they always have what I need and looking for. Every time I walk in the doors, I'm always greeted, no matter what the employee is doing. One night, I was looking for cilantro but the shelf was empty. I continued to walk around though just to see if maybe someone put it away in a different spot. The lady whose always stocking produce at night came up and asked what I was looking for. She walked to the back and came out with two boxes of cilantro. So grateful she went back to check for me. My anxiety could not walk up to her to ask lol read more

Hands down the best Meijer I have been to. Clean and well stocked. Friendly staff and in a conveinent location. I took a trip to this Meijer for an item that only this Meijer carries (and all CS people at other Meijers look at me like I am crazy whne I asked about it) After a lot of searching and happening upon a travelling stock-guy in the interanational food section, I discovered that the Kuhne Yoghurt and Dill dressing I have been searching for can be found at this Hartland Meijer. (or Oscoda but Hartland was closer) Being that I have been to every Meijer between Kzoo, Ypsilanti and Brighton (and no one knowing what I am talking about) We were happy to take a trip up US23! Just off Highland Rd - turn at the Big Boy, or you will miss it. Yes people - This salad dressing is that good. read more

This place is the worst! Used to go there after an Emagine show to grab a few things. After having prices Scan incorrectly over a half dozen visits on 3 separate occasions it was over. Now if I didn't have to walk 2 associates and 1 assistant manager to the items location to prove I was right ALL 3 TIMES! this might be a different review but I did! What did I get for my long walks around Meijers later in the evening you ask..? Well I got 2 smart ass employees and 1 very rude Manger oh and the proper prices which I had photos for 2 and my wife and I told the manager on the 3rd. Point is they're a lot like Wally's in that when the prices are incorrect it's because one of their awesome employees didn't bother to mark it correctly! Hey if ya have a lot of time to waste and ya like millennials being rude it's definitely the place to visit. This is a regular stop for me as it's on the way to my sisters house. I'm usually dropping in to pick up a few essentials on the way rather than doing a full blown shopping trip. The produce section is very clean and well stocked. The displays are full of fresh items and staff is nearby to assist you if needed. I've not had to venture to far into the store as the produce section is right near the front and the express self checkout lanes are also near the same set of doors. I'm a fan of Meijer in general and this store is in line with other locations. read more

It is a very clean Meijer and one of the newer ones. That said, this location is far too reliant on self checkout. I don't work for Meijer, most shoppers don't. And yet they expect us to do the work of a Meijer employee. Too many people seem to think that self checkout is a "service" when it is in fact a lack of service. For a few items self checkout is convenient, but as other reviewers have mentioned, during late hours they only have self checkout available. What a cop out and a cheap out. In addition, this location for some reason has an issue with their deli employees, it is hit or miss as at least half of them are rude and have bad attitudes. I use a different deli now just to avoid the obnoxious jerks at Meijer deli. Even if it means two trips. This Meijer could be fantastic, but a few bad apples and cost cutting shortcuts prevent that. read more

I recently shopped at the Hartland Meijer. I used the restroom near the warehouse area and found a faucet continuously running water. I tried to stop the water from running but failed. I brought this to the attention of a couple of employees and they both indicated that the management was aware. It seemed to me that this was not a new issue. i have been shopping at this store for 5 years but after tonight not any more. i have been waiting in long lines because they only have 2 lanes open . Then tonight after waiting 30 minutes or more and then they rejected my check . never happend before and i have plenty of money in my checking , The store has gotten worse since they changed every thing around there,check out is super slow . and why they changed they check out lanes and bagging is so much worse read more

They are not enforcing face coverings at all, even though this is currently required by law due to the pandemic. To me this demonstrates a profound lack of care for vulnerable community members, not to mention their own employees. I won't be shopping here at all during this outbreak, and frankly, I'm unlikely to return even afterwards. read more

5 Stars. I don't add many reviews, but when an exceptional person gives a helping hand, they deserve praise. Carey goes above and beyond to make sure she helps out, and that is a rarity these days. She waited patiently next to my vehicle while I loaded the final bag of groceries from my cart, and then stacked my cart and pushed the whole line of them back to the store. I enjoy shopping here; big store, fashionable clothing, large sections of housewares/decor, toys, and produce. Many self-checkout lines available, which is great, but there aren't many open cashier lines. read more

This store use to be nice. They do not keep the shelves stocked. They are always running out of things. The response is they do not do the ordering corporate office does. Had an employee tell me this is common to run out and not have things to put back on the shelf. The pharmacy is very slow. I would rather drive 15 miles up the road to go to Walmart and that is how bad this place is. read more
