DON'T ORDER THROUGH THE APP! I'm out of town and my wife tried to order 2 bags of dog food for our pups. We were offered a "free delivery" coupon with the purchase of $50 or more that they applied to the order at checkout. However, They only delivered 1 bag of dog food! We not only selected a replacement item but we left our number for contact if they were out of stock. Instead they delivered the one and charged a delivery fee! They then added insult to injury by placing a hold on our bank for the order TWICE! So Meijer put $125.00 hold on our account for $30 worth of dog food. When I called customer service their reps were polite but made it clear that "THEY" (corporate) would not let them release the second charge and that I would have to wait up to 3-5 days for my money back. Additionally they tried to claim the free delivery was contingent on what service delivered the order for the coupon to apply and our method didn't apply! We cannot select through the app how it was to be delivered! They decided! And that they "recommend " you wait 2 hours for any clipped coupon be used on the app! They don't post that anywhere you see, just recommend it from their customer service center after you complain about the charge. So to sum up $100 overcharge for half of the goods ordered. Customer first is not the policy here. It's CYA and get our cash! Meijer has officially stopped being family friendly and sold out! read more

When I told the employee the price was wrong on an item I was buying she said, " that's what it comes up as, that's what you pay." I told her there was a sale sign there. I have worked at Meijer store for a year and a half. People that work at the store are very cordial and friendly. However the Meijer Corporation is very disorganized. The right hand don't know what the left hand is doing. They are changing your work schedule on a daily basis. So you do need to log in and check your schedule. I've been there a year and a half and they have changed my schedule about five different times. When I came to putting my two week notice in. As soon as I put my two week notice in and recommended a few people to take my position. Myers Corporation near me on the schedule for those two weeks. Abruptly they canceled them weeks and completely took me off of their schedule. Bottom line Meyer is a good place to work as far as the people go. However the corporation will screw you over as soon as they can. I do not recommend anybody getting involved with this Corporation read more

You cannot rent their carpet cleaner unless your there 8am-10pm. If you go to the other competitors. "Festival Foods" you won't have this issue. Also I asked several employees about if they had cleaners to rent, two of them didn't even know if they had them? Most of the employees walk around oblivious to everything and are not much help. This is a fantastic grocery store until you have to check out. It is as bad as Walmart. If it was a speedy checkout process it would easily be 5 stars but I have been here 5 times now. Each a different time/day and never have checked out in faster than 10 minutes. The store is absolutely beautiful. The aisles are big and everything is easy to find. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. If they can get their check out time down I will update to 5 stars because that's really the only thing that takes away from being a 5 star experience. read more

This place is way overpriced and overrated even on sales. The clothing is garbage the deli meat is gross, they only have like 2 registers open even IF it's busy and it takes forever. Nothing is where you think it would be also why do you have to buy 5 different items to get a $2 off coupon off something specific that you don't actually use and half the time the sale prices don't come off at the check out. I tried to do a return one day and it took over an hour to get the return done I had my receipt and also paid with cash but insisted they had to give me a gift card I BOUGHT IT A DAY PRIOR!!! I demanded to talk to a manager and it took 20 minutes for her to come and she looked at the receipt and told the girl that she did the return wrong and I was supposed to get cash back...FINALLY!!! We went to Meijer's on Friday evening December 21. There were a lot of customers shopping. I never saw a store employee throughout the store. When we went to check out there were 2 open lanes with staff. The self check lanes were busy. We patiently waited our turn to check out. The lady in front of us had several questions on items purchased and the clerk was no help at all. There were over 15 customers in line when we finished our order. I've been to mejier a handful of times and have been disappointed with each visit. On my first visit I stopped to buy produce. On the way to my car my plastic bag containing four tomatoes and an onion split and my produce ended up on the pavement. On my second visit I had enough groceries and decided to choose a check out line with a cashier. I waited in line for over twenty minutes before deciding to change to self checkout. Very disappointing to see employees standing around talking when there was only two registers open. On my third and last visit to the store I stopped to get snacks on my lunch break. After work I used the plastic bag from that days purchase to carry my two cup glass glass container to my car. This bag also decided to break and shattered glass fell everywhere. After picking up glass in the dark parking lot on the coldest day of the year it's safe to say I will not be a customer at mejier anymore.
