Absolutely delicious food and their prices are hard to believe for such generous portions. Eating steak for less than 15.00? I'll take it!

WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I wish I could give it a lower rating…read more We got there at almost 2 o'clock and waited about 15 minutes for just our drinks, then another hour just for food. The chicken was extremely dry and tasted old, the amount of protein they give you is quite pitiful. Even customers around us were complaining. The tables were dirty and sticky as well as the napkin dispenser. For 2 people it was about $40.. THAT IS INSANE. especially if the food wasn't even good

DOV: Thurs., March 29 @ 11:45am…read more I am not big into "Express" restaurants so this was the first time I had tried this one. I am happy to report that I survived the experience. When we arrived, there was only one other party in the place. The server brought our drinks and took our order and was back with it in just a few minutes (express) on a styrofoam plate. We got Hibachi Chicken ($7.50, pretty good, chicken a little dry), Hibachi Steak ($7.95, pretty good, cooked a bit long for my taste), Unsweet Tea ($1.50, decent, good price) The server was very good - friendly and attentive. The floor under my feet was wet. Very wet. When I told her about it, the server apologized and said that someone had spilled a mop bucket earlier and must not have gotten it up in that spot. Great. Dirty mop water. Overall, I found this place to be average - not too good, not too bad. They have meals ranging from $6.50 to $13.95, so I wouldn't call it a cheap lunch, especially since you can eat right down the street at the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet all-you-can-eat for about $6. One other thing, Yelp has a 10% off coupon when you check in to this business, so be sure and take advantage of that if you go.

Unfortunately Rick Erwin's missed the mark on its primary assignment. The restaurant is nicely decorated in the style of a steakhouse. Dark wood paneling and shutters adorn the walls with pleasant dim lighting shining down from above. Service was strong with a team serving our table. We were greeted immediately and offered water and a drink. However, we were not offered bread, which is unusual for a steakhouse. Our appetizer of Buffalo Cauliflower was just ok. The breading had a subtle after-taste, which may have been from the batter being undercooked. And the buffalo sauce was not very prominent. So the dish was not as strong as I would have wanted. For our main course, we ordered the porterhouse for two--the signature dish at any steakhouse. Unfortunately, it fell short. When the steak arrived, it lacked the expected presentation; it had been grilled rather than broiled and was served without the usual butter or sizzling finish. That missing sizzle wasn't just visual--it showed in the flavor. A proper porterhouse should have a rich, salty, buttery finish, but this one was surprisingly bland. Just as disappointing, instead of being presented as the centerpiece of the table, the steak was served on a plate that we were apparently expected to eat directly from. It felt odd and took away from what should have been a standout experience. Overall, this was a below average experience for a steakhouse. We will try it again down the road since the choices near Clemson are limited. But Rick Erwin's should really revisit what it is trying to be and then decide how to be that.
