They said acrylic full set for $25 on the phone. Then after the nails are on they said it will be $50 for medium length coffin. Then she said "I can do $40 for square shape". I said ok (just thinking no coffin) THEN CUT HALF AN INCH SHORTER. The nails are all crooked and they are scammers.

    Peeling polish

I went here a week ago got the first time hoping for a good experience based on the reviews. Oh No. The service was awful. They are hurried and rude. They do not listen. Are very manufactured rush you in pointing you in certain directions screaming at customers if they want to change their polish color. My nails were chipping 4 days later I paid $40 for gel polish. Pictures posted. I came back on the 5th day they made me wait an hour before fixing it and she only buffed them down and polished it again with the same polish. Evidently the polish is old because today which is the second day, it's peeling off again (new pics posted). This place is Awful. Btw. I did ask for a different color polish and the owner Anna was going to charge me additional $25. Smh. R

Do not visit for dip! I was in the area and wanted a pedicure and dip for my hands. I needed 3 tips added to make all my nails match. The tips added were not properly shaped so they don't match. She did not do a base powder so the color doesn't pop. That coupled with only 2 coats instead of 3 shows me she did not know what she was doing. She ended with with a UV top coat?!? What? They giggled at my nails when she was done. I had to pick up my daughter from ballet so I didn't have time to dispute the work. See for yourself.

A week after getting my gel nail. It peeled.
    Cindi H.

If I could give it 0 stars I would! My nails peeled in less than a week. While getting my nails done, the led light burned me and they did not do anything or say anything about this when I told them. My nails were lumpy. While cutting my cuticles she ripped at them and made them bleed. This was not worth $40 what so ever.

    Ingrown toenail

I have gone to Megan's two or three times to get a pedicure. I was there last week to get one and you can see the results. I went back in this morning to ask them to fix the ingrown nail and they said I had to buy a complete pedicure. I said I just got one last week and they said they didn't care, had to pay to have them fix it. Talk about bad customer service. First you mess up the pedicure and then tell me I have to buy another one to fix it. What a ripoff and lack of customer service! Place was empty anyway so it looks like I am not the only one that will quit going there.

Three of my nails were broken and upon return the next day I was told to shut up because I'm getting my money back, disrespectful place.
    Carolyn K.

Upon returning this morning with three Nails broken after having a full set acrylic done yesterday which was August 22nd I was immediately told and greeted by a male worker and told to shut up I am getting my money back I explained to the work or do you understand my rights and customer expression for future references for improving your customer service he did not care and continue to disrespect me so I recorded the event and I was granted my money back but the experience that I felt was totally disrespectful and could have escalated to something a lot more this place does not respect their customers they hide behind the customer service of the Young Generation.

The place was so clean, neat, pleasant and quiet!! I was immediately at ease after the fear of salons due to Covid. I was so pleasantly surprised that I did not have to sacrifice 1 nail. I am TOO pleased. All my nail and foot apprehensions melted away with the gentle thorough service I received. Nail and Skin Bar, you get a cookie And a star. Love it.

I literally just got a pedicure here and couldn't wait to review this place…read more it is amaaaazing. Best pedicure I've gotten! My pedicurist was Jaime and she spent an entire hour pampering my feet and making my toes look beautiful (I haven't had a pedi in a year so we're talking about some major work here). I brought a book to study from but I almost fell asleep because I was so comfortable. The nail job itself looks beautiful. Jaime helped me pick the perfect color and like I already mentioned, she spent a luxurious hour getting my toes in tip top shape for the wedding i'll be in on saturday. Lots of scrubbing, filing, and massaging! It was slightly expensive- luckily today is Wednesday and they have a pedi special for $30. I'll probably try to always come on wednesdays to catch the special but the money is well worth it here :)

WARNING DO NOT GO IF YOU HAVE NATURAL HAIR!!!…read more I honestly did not even want to,give this salon one star, but I have to put a rating. If Yelp allowed it, I would put a fourth of a star. Billy is a terrible stylist, who should just admit he can't handle natural hair, but was too greedy for the money to do this. Firstly, I should have known better because everyone had permed hair and one person was getting a perm as I was sitting there. Billy the stylist seemed nice and I had gone there four years earlier, but I came with my hair already blown out and just had him to flat iron it. This time I had my hair blown out but he took me to the bowl to wash my hair, something that I thought might be a good idea because I assumed that he would condition my hair pretty well afterwards. However, after he washed my hair twice, he only put conditioner on my roots and then put me under the dryer. After I came out my hair was a dry tangled mess. He then proceeded to blow dry my hair with a paddle brush tugging at it roughly. When he finished with the brush, he proceeded to use a fine tooth comb and comb through it. Again he was yanking my hair berating me for not allowing him to cut my hair as he wanted to ( he kept saying I needed a trim and even was bold enough to to tell my Aunt and mother that he would MAKE me trim my hair) purposely damaging it to the point that he wanted to cut. He then roughly ran a hot comb through my hair yanking it through as well. At the end he tried to disguise the damage by lightly bumping the ends under but it was very obvious that it was severely damaged and the ends were strings. To make matters worse he didn't use a leave-in conditioner before he blow dried my hair and neither a heat protectant before he began to flat iron. As a natural person we work very hard on our hair and to have someone to purposely damage your hair just to make a point is frustrating, heartbreaking, and infuriating. I had to put Shea butter in my hair to keep it from frizzing up because of the extreme lack of moisture and damage created by the passive aggressive stylist. However, I didn't let him ruin my weekend and enjoyed my brother's med school graduation and my cousin's high school graduation. And I will go back to Chicago and enjoy my beautiful life there and my budding legal career. Billy you don't win, in fact thank you because now I will be using my Olaplex every week instead of once a month. Can't wait to see how much more will my hair will thrive in the future.

Great place to get a perfect haircut. I miss her greatly while in Florida. She knows what she is…read moredoing.

Reasons I love the Salon:…read more 1. I totally forgot about an appointment. Not only did Grace book me for her next opening, she was nice to me and gave me a great haircut even though I TOTALLY VAMPED on my first appointment. Also, I called her as my school was freaking out over a tornado warning to let her know I'd be late to my second appointment, and she was very nice about it and said she would wait and just to call when the storm warning was over to check in about whether we could meet that day or reschedule. (As it turned out, I was only going to be about 10 minutes late, and she was able to see me that day). 2. No negative gossipy-vibe here, and no pressure to tell Grace my life story. I really appreciate a stylist who is friendly and kind, but not trying to force some intimate connection at our first meeting. Maybe it's the difference between 20 year-old me and 30-something year-old me, but I don't need a new best friend every time I get a haircut. 3. Grace really listened to me. I went in with a chin-length bob, which a stylist at another salon had given me when I showed her a picture of a much-shorter cut for my very-curly hair. Grace instantly saw what I wanted, and was enthusiastic about helping me go from long to short. Three weeks later, and I still love this haircut, whether I blow-dry it or not. Grace was also careful not to badmouth the stylist who gave me the dreaded shoulder-bob, affording her the benefit of the doubt. "Maybe," she said, "she'd had someone cry in her chair that day, and she was worried you didn't really want to go short." But I did, and Grace helped me, and I will be back again and again! Practical tip: You can park in the lot behind the Gilmore and go in the back door (watch your step going in) or on the street on Madison.
