I've been coming to this pilates studio three times a week for the past 8 months, and it's really changed my perspective on working out. I used to only do cardio and never enjoyed going to the gym, especially without guidance, but this has been the perfect alternative. With consistent classes, I've noticed a huge improvement in my strength, built muscle, and feel much more toned overall. I've taken classes with several different instructors, and they're all really great, but I have to give a special shoutout to Helene. She gives clear, helpful instruction and thoughtful adjustments, and she really knows how to challenge you and push you to improve. Her classes are never boring. She mixes things up with different moves and keeps it fresh every time. On top of that, she makes class genuinely fun and always gets us laughing, which is a nice distraction from the burn! I'm moving out of the area soon and am so sad I won't be able to keep coming here. I am hoping the studios in my new area are even half as good. Decided to give Pilates a try! I was a bit nervous because I had only done one class at another studio a long time ago. My first class was with Eva. She explained how the megaformer worked. Throughout the class she helped with my form. I ended up signing up for a membership after my trial. I've always felt welcomed since my very first class. I usually take Christina's classes on Mondays and Fridays. She is great, I like the flow of her class. She's really good at explaining form and what you should be feeling with each movement. I can already see a difference in my body after a few months. I also like that classes start right on time. Very conscious of the members time. Parking is pretty easy in the mornings not sure about the afternoons or evenings. read more

The Class: Small but intimate studio. 8 Pilate machines. There is a shoes shelf to store your personal belongs at the front door. Our instructor, Rachel, is such a sweetheart! Since it is my first class at their studio, she gave me a brief introduction of her class & how to use the machine. She is super encouraging & constantly motivating us to hanging there just for a few more seconds. She walked around the class a lot, demonstrated the poses & adjusted our poses if needed. I sweat so much in her 45 minutes class! I could feel the burn on those muscle that I hardly use. MegaFit by Lagree in Kenneth Village is terrific. The teachers are professional, caring, and accessible. Shout out to Helene and Laura! The facilities are immaculate and modern. Since I've been attending 3x a week for 2 months, I have definitely improved my fitness level, posture and even lost half an inch from my hips. However, this alone won't really result in weight loss (at least that is my experience). I'm dieting and also doing 30 mins on my peloton 2-3 days a week, but weight loss has been non-existent. This is in no way Megafit's fault, but personally, I've had more luck with other exercise methods. Just keep this in mind. I only did the classics with Paniz at La Canada and Glendale locations - but she was incredible and changed my mind about Lagree (used to think it's way too difficult). She made the time fly by, had great music, and actually came by and adjusted my body when I was doing something incorrectly. How to book They have an app called mymegafit . The beginners price is amazing because you get a pair of socks. If you do the math, it's worth getting the big package. You'll end up getting more bang for your buck. My Experience I loved loved it. I gained weight and I needed something that would make my sweat. I have done all private gyms. Let me first start off by saying that this place knocks pilates out the door. I'f you wanna get fit and have fun doing it, look no further. Parking This is tricky because there isn't much parking. I recommend parking directly across the street. That little spot never failed. Do not leave your place late. You will be searching for parking if you do that and you'll miss class. Lagree is an intense slow movement workout where you are guaranteed sore the next day. The megaformer forces you muscles to work at the first rep. It's all about the shakes here. I like how Lagree pushes you to your limits without doing cardio and MegaFit was no different compared to other studios I've been. The instructor Chrissy was great -- clear in instructions and supportive in correcting form when we needed it. This particular class was called "Fearless" and it had very standard lagree moves that I am used to. The second class I went to was taught by Helene called "Hustle" and hot d@mn was I hustling to stay in the moves. She kicked my butt and there were sets that I haven't done before that were challenging. Lots of abs work in this one. Happy to have found my new lagree spot that's less than 20min away and they are on classpass! read more

I have changed my physical appearance , stature , core and overall health due to the classes here at lagree on kenneth Ave in Glendale! I am an avid hiker but have injuries have stenosis and 5 lumbar bulging discs . My core has been horrible from having three kids. Sitting and I cracked my pelvis in labor many years ago!!! Anyhow, Lagree has given me more benefits than anything- far more than Pilates ever did!! I constantly recover easily after my very long hikes from the strength snd changes from these classes. - I have found certain instructors resonate for me as I like a hard class / instructor that focuses in strength and corrects poor form as needed so I improve & continue to improve. Which I really have! Each person who goes that I speak to has certain instructors they like as well .... So that aspect is a personal choice. For someone like me, I suggest Eva or Christina for anyone beginning, intermediate OR advanced. You can't go wrong with them! I see them totally fine tuning & helping each person with finesse without disrupting the class. Laura is also one of my favorites for strength and I feel elated after her classes. There's others I've had as instructors that are great too but I tend to go to these 3 the most & I like to switch around a bit for variety of hurting muscles and class structure. They r all changing the class often so it's not repetitive. The people who take classes here are really kind and all ages, levels, shapes and sizes and I've met a number of great women there - a friendly professional place. The owners are also responsive to calling back if any issues or questions. The signing up App they have is very easy - I like easy! I tried to go to a different Lagree facility in Burbank but it was near impossible to sign up or reach anyone so I said forget it! As a 13 months unlimited monthly member, after noticing my toddler was sick, I called before my class and told Rita, I could not make jt. She stated if I had called earlier she could have done something but at that time she couldn't help me. I asked if she was OK with me going in with my sick kid? Obviously, she stayed silent. I went in with my febrile kid, rosy cheeks, shivering and checked in to avoid paying the costly no show fee and walked out. What a shame! You want to be a part of the community? The instructor Simmin was very helpful, friendly, courteous, and understanding. It was my FIRST time EVER doing Pilates and using the Megaformer. Omg... Although I had a rough time, she was there for me EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. I had to take breaks because my goodness that work out kicked my butt... I'm proud of myself for having the courage to attend, and deeply humbled and thankful for Simmin's kindness and devotion to her craft. This one is for postpartum mamas. It may be hard but it's totally worth it and ANYONE can do it as long as they stick through. Megafit helped me rebuild my core and strength after childbirth. Don't get intimidated by the first few classes. Keep going and you'll notice the change in your body rather quickly. I started training at MegaFit as a way of cross training for a marathon. The program is a perfect compliment to a running regimen and the instruction is incredible. I go 3 times per week to Helene's class and I can't say enough about her. Her instruction is clear, precise, and she is an encouraging and welcoming instructor. She modifies on the fly to accommodate injuries and knows her students. I really appreciate her attention to form and her support. If you are interested in Lagree style Pilates then this is the place for you. I have been attending this studio for about a year and have made so much progress with overall strength, but in particular core strength which has been great for my lower back. All of the instructors that I have had have been fantastic. In particular, Helene has pushed me to new levels by pushing the entire class to reach for more. It can't be easy to keep track of all of the students and their level of confidence, but Helene manages to share her time with all 9 of us when necessary. I decided to try out this new fitness studio in Kenneth Village and I am so glad I did! I've taken two classes so far and I can honestly say this workout is unlike any other. Every inch of my body was burning and I started sweating almost immediately into the workout and for a very long time after. Apparently you burn 300-700 calories per workout! The machines and workout routines are unlike any other; try it and you'll see. The instructors each have their own vibe and routines. They are knowledgeable, helpful and patient with you especially if you're new to this. Donara was especially awesome! Ever since I started classes here, I've been hooked and motivated in other aspects of health and fitness. I feel great and my energy levels are through the roof. The ease of booking classes through the app and even using the app to buy something in the studio is so convenient for people who are busy and always on the go. I also like how flexible the class schedules are so that you're able to book quickly based on your availability. The studio is also located in such a great place; grab a coffee afterwards or take a jog to/from the studio to burn some more calories. The owners and employees are super friendly. I have been wanting to take a class here for awhile and had been looking for a workout that was more personal than just blindly going to the gym with no real direction on what I was doing, I absolutely loved the class, it was intense and the instructor was very attentive in helping me adjust my posture since it was my first time. I really liked that the classes are small, I think there was like 7 of us total, so I definitely felt like it was easier to keep up with the movements. I had a membership here, have been coming for 4 months already prior to that I took classes here and there. One of the days I wasn't able to make it due to an emergency , so I cancelled 4 hrs prior to class. Which gives them the chance to have another client book that class. Not only did they charge me for the class, but also an extra $15 for not coming to class, which I have paid for my spot what's it to them if I come or not, my spot has been paid for. I don't understand the meaning behind that, if it made sense I would understand it, the person who I spoke to over the phone didn't have an answer to that except that's it's a new policy... it's not the money here, it's the principal. They just lost 2 clients due to this. read more

I made a come back to MegaFit to get a little bit of a different flavor in my day-to-day workouts. Little did I know how much of an impact it made on my body with just 2 sessions in.
