I always have a good experience here. The staff is professional and every nail tech I've had has done a great job with my builder gel manicures. Salon is clean and bright with lots of stations. The price is on the higher side but the quality is worth it. My manicures always last a month with no issues! read more

I can't rave about Mega Nail (and Winnie, my nail tech) enough!! Mega Nail is a bright, beautiful space in Hell's Kitchen and they're doing a nice 10% off deal Mondays and Tuesdays from 10-2. I walked in on a day I didn't have too much time, and was able to get a seat pretty immediately. The prices here are definitely not cheap, but the quality you get makes it so worth it. My GelX extensions lasted me five weeks with no chipping, and after that I got a regular gel mani that has lasted me three so far with no signs of peeling. The techs treat your nails with care and respect and they know their stuff in terms of what's trendy and what will last. Definitely check this place out and give them some love - you won't regret it. read more

Clean and wonderful pedi and manicure. Walk ins welcome. They also do back massages but those are right in the middle of the nail salon.

I did a walk-in at their new outlet on 294 8th AVE and I had such a good experience. The place is so pretty and clean - there's straight up a whole cherry blossom tree in the middle - and I loved how the lighting isn't as hospital bright as most nail salons. Service is also SO good. Ask for Zoe she's brilliant and so sweet. She spent a lot of time perfecting my nail design and was so accomodating to my requests. The only reason why my rating isn't five stars is that there is a slight uneveness on the application of the french tips on my thumbs but its really fine and not that noticeable. Def will be my go-to nail spot now :) read more

I have been coming to Mega Nail and have only had good experiences. Everyone is friendly & the space is very clean. I am always in and out quickly which is a huge plus for me. I get dip powder about once every 4 weeks & have never had my nails peel or chip. Would highly highly recommend! read more

I'm so upset by my service. They made my nails thick and lumpy and the French tip is crooked. They're soooo bad. $107 + tip for something I have to run and get fixed elsewhere. I will never go back which is a shame because it's close to my apt. read more

This is a good place. I specifically look for one particular lady, Qi. She knows my feet really well and their issues. She has gone the extra mile to get my feet the most comfortable state they ever get to be. I cant praise her enough! read more

I walked in after some googling, no appointment, I tried calling but couldn't get through. They had room right away and I showed Nicole my inspo pic from their reviews. Nicole was great, absolutely love my nails and how they turned out. I got gel-c extensions and it was a bit pricier than what I'm used to, but I'd come back. Their regular services were very reasonably priced read more

If I could leave a negative review, I would. I came in (no appointment) and asked if they could take 2 walk-ins for a pedicure--to which they said yes. We waited for about 5 minutes before we were helped which is completely fine. What was not fine, was the fact that my friend's pedicure was completely finished before mine even started. So for over an hour, I just sat there. I was not asked what type of pedicure, I wanted, or asked anything else. They cut and filed my toenails--didn't ask if I even wanted that or what shape. She then painted them and that was it. She didn't do any callus removal or anything else--literally used a dirty nail file on the back of my toe when I asked for about 2 seconds. She then put lotion on me, and then just wiped it off with a towel. They then tried to send me on my way and pay over $80 for basically a polish change. When I complained about the service, they didn't care. They then called their manager, who could only offer me 15% off. Ridiculous. I shouldn't have even had to pay for this "pedicure." I wish I could dispute the charge. read more

Salon is nice and feels clean. Nail techs were pleasant. However, my $55 dip powder manicure did not last even one week. On day 7 I had two nails fall off completely cleanly. I went in and they fixed them without any fuss, although I did have to wait 30 minutes. The next day another nail came off. Very annoying. Unfortunately I won't be going back except to have my manicure removed which they hopefully will not charge me for ($15 for removal). read more

I went to get my nails done before my Disney trip. Saw a design online that I loved and stopped by the salon to see if they could do the design. Without hesitation they said they could and booked me on a Friday. I am glad I went in early and made an appointment. When I arrived on Friday they were super busy but did not make me feel rushed at all. My nail technician was Cece she was so great. She even thought the same as me when I showed her the sample photo the base color was too dark and would not match my skin tone right so she adjusted. The designs were exactly how I wanted them. It was my first time using gel-x and I think this will be the way to go from now on. No issues it's been two weeks. I wish I could keep this design forever. I definitely will be going back read more

I've gotten my nails done here a number of times and I'm always happy with the work they do. My gel x manicures last over a month-- I only get them redone because of how much my nails grow out in that time. I've never had a nail break or lift. Vanessa did an amazing job on my mani/pedi today. I've also had incredible manicures by Cora. The manicurists are always professional and kind. The salon is clean and well maintained. read more

The worst! I was foolish to believe that 29 minutes was really 20 minutes. It was 49 minutes. I should have gone to Sophia's on W 56. This place is a factory and it seemed like everyone was getting gel and I just wanted a regular manicure. Ann was so busy trying to make conversation with the manicurist next to her that she did a crappy job. When you leave they don't even say goodbye and thank you. read more

2 hours and a half to take off my old nails ($30), do a Gel X manicure ($90), one regular pedicure ($40?), fix a nail ($10), something else $10, $12 eyebrows... add tax and tip... my finger hurts from being cut.. the quality is unfortunately not worth the money... the people were nice and it's nice and clean inside but never again. read more

I seriously don't recommend here, they cut my finger and was bleeding, it was $70 plus tip and all finger's shape and length are different, if you pay that much, other nail salons do much better job. I've been to a reasonable price salon, then I'd understand. I usually don't write negative reviews but it was really bad. Next morning, all my nails hurt I think because they soaked my fingers with the liquid too long, some fingers hurt and turned red and have reactions read more

I appreciated them accommodating a same day appointment. The salon was cute with great ambience and looked clean. The prices were a little on the high side. The pedicure was listed as $38 and then all of a sudden they asked whether I wanted a jasmine or vanilla scrub. When I asked if that was the regular basic pedicure they told me yes. I didn't realize until I went to pay that I was charged $56 which was confusing as the price was listed as $38 on the wall behind the register. And the scrub really wasn't necessary. When I went to pay they kept asking for cash and eventually accepted visa which was weird as an establishment that they wouldn't accept Amex. I ended up paying a lot more than I was expecting but I didn't argue it since the lady who did my nails was sweet and provided good service. But it was sketchy that a nail salon has an atm inside. I decided to leave this review after my dip powder manicure began to chip less than a week later. My dip always lasts at least two weeks which is why I'm such a fan of the dip. However after paying over $55 For a manicure I'd expect better results. read more

I got a mani/pedi here and it was great! Love how new everything is. I asked for a nail art and was charged an additional $25 for 4 nail art which seemed a bit high but it turned out nice. I'll be coming back and recommend coming on a weekday to get a 10% discount! read more

Unfortunately, my five star review went way down after Coco made my toe raw within minutes of sitting in the chair. I asked her to be gentle and she cut my nails so short that I limped out. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to the competitor. Your toes will thank you. read more

Bad experience overall. No customer service at all. The salon is overloaded and keeps rushing. Took a pedicure and the lady cut my toes with scissors, when trying to remove dead skin. I ouched cuz it hurts, but no apologies at all. The salon is owned by Asians, but rude to Asian customers. I will not recommend to any Asian gals. read more

I had the worst experience at this place. I came in to do a powder manicure and the person who did it for me was the worst. She didn't know what she was doing and finally the manager stepped in. Not pleasant or apologetic. Fixed it half assed and didn't offer me any consolation. A few days later everything started to get ruined and I came back to have it fixed. Again no apology for my time or money just "have a seat someone will fix it " there are thousands of nail salons in NYC. This is a disgrace read more

Amazing service and people! They really paid attention to what I wanted and took time and care to make it happen. Will be back!

It was my first time trying out the salon and unfortunately I didn't have the best experience. My nails turned out uneven with their length and the shape wasn't what I wanted either - usually at other salons my techs will always look at my nails and file down accordingly but now my nails look a bit silly with the different length. The tech/owner also skipped steps like massage and lotion and oil. I felt rushed and not valued as a paying customer especially when short cuts are taken throughout the manicure. Unfortunately I will not be going back. read more

I got a pedicure without nail polish to give my nails a break. It was a regular pedicure (without the polish) and it only lasted 15 mins. Generally in the past, my pedicure (even without nail polish) has been around 35-40 mins. I just left it I was given the bare minimum service--something I was not expecting. With the price I paid, it wasn't worth it for me. read more
