We didn't grocery shop much at this location when it was the New Seasons Market, because we live so close to Sprouts, Safeway, Trader Joe's, King Seafood. However, it's a dream to have The K Market so close to home. It's an Asian market with mainly Korean foods/kitchenware/deli/ready-to-eat/bakery with some Japanese goodies in the mix. We can shop here often without going out of our way to Mountain View, Cupertino or Santa Clara for groceries like this. Convenience is important to us. We shopped here at late lunch time Thursday. The parking was easy and there was no line to enter. During shelter-in-place, the store limit was 100 customers. There was an employee at the door to keep count. Gloves and hand sanitizer were both available at the door. Wear a face mask and keep it on while inside the store. We grabbed a basket, but it would be a good idea to grab a cart because the store is filled with so many interesting and yummy things. The store is neat, clean and organized. Many things are pre-bagged/packaged to maintain cleanliness. They had a good selection of Asian dark leafy greens, a case dedicated to mushrooms, several kinds of Korean apples, packaged juicy gold kiwis, ripe hami melons. In the meat section, there were many cuts and grades of beef. We will come back for the deeply marbled beef and meaty oxtails. They also sell beef bones for stock. Lots of meats sliced for hot pot in a freezer case. Good selection of fresh fish and even more frozen. I thought the price of chicken was on par with Safeway, but you won't have to buy a value pack here. The K Market is selling four-pack of skin-on chicken drumsticks at $1.99/lb. Nigiri and sashimi packed same day. I don't recall seeing live seafood, but that isn't something I generally buy, so I wasn't looking for it. Hot deli offered kimbap, beef kimbap, japchae, chicken wings, boneless chicken wings, bulgogi, eel over rice, bibimbap and many other tempting lunch options. They also had sushi and lunch meat sandwiches to-go. The beef kimbap was really good, but unfortunately I overheated the boneless crispy chicken bites. Bakery offered beautiful creations you would see at Tous Le Jours, 85C, Paris Baguette, Alexander's Patisserie, plus individually packed breads and buns. We grabbed a coffee bun, which is what we ate nearly daily when we were in Seoul. It was delicious with a thin crunchy top and filled with a small amount of cream custard. We ventured into the inside aisles and picked up a frozen salted whole mackerel, which brought back memories of discovering an alleyway in Seoul filled with charcoal-grilled salted mackerel vendors. We also picked up Kewpie mayo, okonomikyaki flour, roasted seaweed snacks, Korean chopsticks, original Calpico drink, Cass beer, doenjang soybean paste, eggs and a 100-count box of Korean instant coffee mix like the kind we had at one of our Seoul bed and breakfasts. As hungry shoppers, we avoided the candy, chips and crackers aisles calling out to us. We wanna look, but we know better! I know this is a grocery store, but shopping at The K Market brought back so many good memories from our Thanksgiving trip to Seoul. So very happy to have The K Market in our area! This is the best Korean market in our area! It's big and fully stocked. They have huge sections of prepared foods, awesome array of yummy desserts and great selections for meats! Every prepared dish I got was delicious! Very authentic and fresh. And I got a small package of mochi. And I believe they make it fresh there because it was the best that I've had. I absolutely love Korean markets. We normally go to Han Kook, but we wanted to see what The K Market had to offer. Naturally, we started comparing the two and this is what we noticed. + Very spacious and clean + Meat selection and liquor selection were better than Han Kook + Bakery is 100000x better than Han Kooks (mochi donut was delish) + More premade hot food selections available - did not try any to let you know if it was delish or not - Pricier than Han Kook (just by a little) - Did not have some of my favorite frozen hotteok or tteokbokki - Fresh fish / sashimi selection was not as good as Han Kook - No huge banchan grab to go bar compared to Han Kook - Snack selection could use some work (where were the turtle chips?!!?!) - Han Kook still has the best take-out Korean food restaurant, so The K Market has some work to go there I think I will have to continue to go to both until a clear favorite stands out. read more

So we originally came by to check out the bakery, buuuut FYI found out this was an affordable korean grocery store! (calling out the college students) We walked in at 9am and was greeted with a delicious whiff. We followed the aroma all the way to the back of the store where they were still cooking/ prepping the food. The bakery selection was no bueno, it can definitely improve. Love the new K Market. Have been now several times. Definitely have to be comfortable wiping down your own cart and not afraid of lack of social distancing, no one was following the 6 feet apart rule. They have a huge selection of meats and seafood, including sushi and frozen stuffs that would be great for hot pot. There are so many varieties of everything from gochujang to kimchee it is difficult for me (white, monolingual American) to navigate. Luckily, both the employees and fellow customers were really friendly and helpful when I asked questions or advice on what to get. In the end, the cashier asked if I had been to Korea based on what was in my cart and suggested I should go, since I said I had not been, yet. They also have a bakery and deli with a wide selection of good foods, of which I purchased too many sweets (songpyeon), several kimbap (think more veggie heavy maki and filled with non-fish meats or tofu, I've now had tofu, veggie, and beef and enjoyed tofu the most), and some Japchae (perfect) and Korean fried chicken of the crispy and sweet variety (which was good but not amazing). Can't wait to try some of their bakery desserts and other deli offerings. There's so much food to try! Definitely going back soon. read more

Besides that, I do my food shopping here and I get misc items here such as kitchen items like rags and beauty products. Wide arrays of things can be found here and it never disappoints. It has become favorite place for food recently. First, the hygiene is fabulous. It feels safe to walk inside. Gloves and wipes provided at the door. There are two types of carts and I like to go for the smaller size, which is not available in any other markets. For food, it offers both western and eastern food, accommodating the needs of different people in my household. The price is affordable, actually lower than other supermarkets (nit sure if it's just the opening sale). The bakery section looks great and I hope to try it next time. I bought a milk tea for $2. It was a bit too sweet for me and it tasted European(?)...just different from the usual milk tea in the other stores, but I'm already satisfied for a cup of $2 milk tea. I have to mention that all staff members are courteous and nice, and they all follow the hygiene regulations which I really appreciate. I got a bottle of hand sanitizer as an opening gift too! We decided to explore Sunnyvale today, after a failed attempt to find a decent outdoor sitting place for Pho, we decided to check out this new market. Parking was fairly easy and the market is not crowded on a weekday around noon. The place is clean, spacious and well lit, first impression was very pleasant. Produce looked good/OK; prices, varieties and qualities are comparable to others but may not be better. The sashime already sliced up looked pretty good and again priced similarly to Hancook or Hmart. The cooked food area was calling our names; with the 30% discount, it's hard to resist, being hungry already, we really exercised our will power to refrain from going crazy. We got a teriyaki rice bowl, a combo and some seafood pancake that's on sale and a small carton of seasoned bean sprouts for our lunch. Most of the food were still warm, we did toast the seafood pancake and most tasted pretty decent, the bean sprouts was totally tasteless even after I tried to rescue it with some soy and sesame oil. We're glad to see that K market is offering some good options, will be back when we are not so hungry. read more

This is K Market. Great for produce, kimchi and ready made foods. There's also a large frozen and Korean snacks/chips section. The sushi quality is better than what you'd find in other popular grocery stores. The store is bright, clean and generally not overly crowded with plenty of parking which makes it an easy experience to shop there. Very happy to have an added option in the area. read more

I like this new Korean market, it was smaller than Hankook market. But really clean and they have some sales for some products. The hot food is 30% off. You can be assured on warm/hot days, the AC is up :) In the midst of Covid, they offered disposable clear gioves, hand sanitizers and Clorox type wipes. Big parking lot. I see electric charge station (but don't know if it's operable) Food court has a bakery, fried chicken, lots of pick up Korean dishes and soup containers, small bake goods. Some occasion cakes or delicate desserts in counter coolers and other breads, cookies, danishes in pick up bins. They even have fried Korean corn dogs, fried whole fish, japchae, pancakes in the food court. For me, i love the Budae jiggae kit, Korean fried chicken foil tray and the deep fried karoke (sp?). Multi cultural cashiers so easy to communicate. Brand new Korean market to the Sunnyvale area, so that you don't have to battle the crowds and crazy parking lot situation down the road at Hankook. The vegetables were fresh, and they still have 30% off most of their cooked food for their soft opening (bento box, japchae, chicken wings, etc). They offer pre-packaged banchan items, and also freshly baked buns. The selection is a bit more limited, since their store is slightly smaller, but I've been able to find everything that I need. You also receive a gift item if you meet their minimum purchase. I will definitely be back in the future, and hope to try their cooked foods soon! We came here several times and really enjoyed the experience and the hot food has been very good. The store is very clean and bright. They also put the gloves and wipes at the entrance for customer to use. Very thoughtful! However, we would like to bring this following to the manager's attention: the Kimbab, Japchae, and Chicken Combo needs improvement. When we brought it home and eat it, the Kimbab smelled a little sour, as if it is start to become spoiled. We are not sure why, but perhaps the combination of hot food and cold food together would cause contamination and thus cause the Kimbab to have the sour smell. Everything else has been good overall. Relatively new market to an area that has a good amount of new construction happening. Super clean and following sanitary safety with gloves, clean wipes and hand sanitizer at the entrance. Also a staff member at the entrance monitoring that the protocols are followed. Staff is helpful and friendly. Produce very fresh and a great selection and varieties of produce that are harder to find like the red radish in picture. They have a great hot and prepared foods section. The hot food section currently has a 30% of promotion to celebrate the store opening. I feel it's a bit of a gimmick since the prices seem higher than other stores but the quality of the hot foods section is good so it's all good. They often have promotions on items all over the store and promotions are clearly marked. Good way to encourage repeat visits. read more

A week ago we ordered a custom birthday cake from the bakery inside The K Market. The head baker was very attentive and asked us what we would like on the cake. We said our daughter is year of the pig and loves airplanes so we would like an airplane and pig on the birthday cake. He googled some airplane cakes to give us an idea of the complexity vs cost based on what we wanted. We selected one around $140. As you can see from the picture attached they did a great job. All the decorations are edible. They included two pigs and put two little teeth on one showing that it is a baby pig. We also asked for a smash cake. When we went to pick up the cake the baker mentioned that the smash cake was made non diary. He said he does that for all the smash cakes just in case of food allergies; How considerate. We didn't even think of that. The cake was also delicious. We chose strawberry cake and it was light and not overly sweet. Highly recommend you consider their bakery for custom cake orders for special occasions. They go out of their way to make a custom decorated cake to your requirements. read more

I wish I had reason to be in Sunnyvale more often, so K Market could be my go-to Korean grocery. Actually, this store might be reason enough to trek down there! It's smaller than an HMart, and much bigger than a corner market, so it's really the perfect size for a comfortable shopping experience. You're not overwhelmed by inventory and choices here, but I bet you'll find everything on your grocery list (I certainly did). The store is clean, well organized, and aesthetically lit, and the staff is super friendly. The bakery is incredible! Shout out to the freshly baked soboro bun, it was DELISH!!! Special bonus: they have a Squid Game dalgona contest going on, and the cookie even comes with a little silver tin. Great Korean grocery store! It's big, clean and has everything your heart desires. A lot of fresh produce that looks very inviting. Big selection of frozen foods, household staples, meats, and fish. There's also a great food court with hot and cold dishes, and a great bakery area. They also have loads of products that makes homemade Korean dishes easier, like soup bases or kits. The 30% discount is also very appealing and makes it very affordable. The parking lot gets close to full, but I've always been able to find a spot every visit. WOOHOO!!!!! We can never have to many Korean markets in the Bay Area! We were so excited for the opening of this market and were very satisfied with our overall experience. First thing I noticed was they offer the mini (in length) grocery carts with two levels. So if you're not shopping for an entire family and your arms can't handle carrying all your groceries in a heavy basket, this is going to be your best friend (yay!). The meat selection + seafood selection is omg yay! We bought some fresh pork belly and a slab of salmon, and had an oh so yummy dinner!!! Cut up that $7 slab of salmon into a whole plate full of sashimi pieces and oh mah gahd so delicious. Love the variety of frozen meats and seafood they had as well for very affordable prices. K Market is definitely a couple cents to a dollar cheaper than H Mart which is nice. H Mart definitely about that bougie life. They also have a cute bakery inside which I hope to one day purchase from. Anyways, this is all based off my first experience, and I look forward to more! read more

So glad that we have K Market in the 'hood now. Compared to other supermarkets, its definitely a little more airy and parking is great. The place is clean and well organized. I usually take a basket (instead of a cart) just because I know if I take a cart, I'll end up filling it up with too much food. Produce is good and cheap. My favorite part is all the ready made food and banchan. That is definitely where I got into trouble. I just kept loading all the food in for me and the Hubs even though it's just two of us. I basically bought enough food for us for a month but you know, since its made, it will go bad eventually. I still went for it. The market feels a little more pricey (I guess you pay for the spaciousness and easy parking situation). It feels more friendly to someone thats not super familiar with Korean groceries. It's a little further from me but definitely worth the drive. read more

First time checking out the new Korean market in Sunnyvale. I went around 10/11 am, there was no line. Gloves were available by the front and an employee was disinfecting the carts :) Super clean and organized were my first impressions. Even have markings on the floor for 6ft apart rule, even though it wasn't needed but still cool. Great selection of beef/pork/chicken, frozen seafood section and everything else. This is definitely going to give hankook some competition(I noticed some things are cheaper here than at hankook)(I love hankook don't get me wrong, just stating some facts lol). The only thing I think they need to have more of are house items(kukje in Daily city have a ton of house stuff/electric grills, electric hotpot, pillows etc). Also want to mention how the employees are so sweet! They were so kind, I know that sounds like it should be the case at every grocery store but their service and kindness just stood out to me. I can't believe I only just recently discovered this place!! I was looking for kimbap and saw this supermarket as a suggestion and was beyond shocked when I saw their deli selection. It is massive!! There's so many different ready to eat meals from Korean fried chicken, sushi, traditional Korean side dishes, Korean pastries, anything you can think of, they've got it!! Love this supermarket mainly for its hot foods section! My husband and I have started going weekends to pick up some kimbap and sushi for lunch. We usually eat the sushi for lunch the same day and leave the kimbap in the fridge for the next day. I've been dipping the kimbap in egg and frying it on the a pan with oil to heat it up! It's a trick I learned from Googling ;) the flavor of the kimbap is exactly what you'd expect, and price wise, it's about $6-7 for a container full. We also started getting the California rolls and Salmon nigiri sushi for $11; my only complaint is that the cuts of salmon are a bit inconsistent. The salmon my husband got was awesome, but my cut of salmon was stringy and a bit fishy :( We also ventured out to try the crispy fried chicken (with bones). It's good, but better baked to heat it up before eating. As for the rest of the supermarket, it's pretty average. The selection and variety isn't amazing and could be fresher, but since it's one of the closer Asian marts to us, we'll take it! For example, the bok choy didn't look as fresh as what we'd get at 99 Ranch. And at some point, we were looking for quail eggs for hot pot, but they didn't have any. This was my experience a few months ago though - since then, they got the quail eggs I was looking for in stock. The one thing I will give them props for is their frozen shabu meat! We got the pork and beef cuts recently; they were a bit expensive, but they tasted amazing for homemade hot pot. I'd recommend shopping at K Market if you're looking to do homemade hotpot since they have most of the hotpot ingredients you'd want! read more
