Still a great grocery store with great sale deals and love having their to go food selection available close by for my lazy days. BUT FCKS SAKE. Hi other grocers in the store. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE PREPARED FOOD CONTAINERS, OPEN THE CONTAINER TO EAT A FEW PIECES, AND PUT THE CONTAINER BACK. What the heck is wrong with you?! Grossssssss. I will not be taking a star down because this isnt the store's fault but they need to do something about this because I will not be buying the food here again for a while just because of what I saw today.

not sure how I haven't heard of this market before. S tier for having hot deli food for lazy folks that still want great flavors. The selection is truly jaw dropping, from an assortment of kimchis to fried chicken katsu, hearty soups, it was well worth the 30 minute browse. also super clean and cashier managed to pack 10+ items into a paper bag, will be coming again.

This is my go-to market for mushrooms. They have such a huge variety of packaged mushrooms and lots of organic options, which I don't see at my other go-to Asian market. Whenever I shop here, I grab mushrooms, bok choy, cabbage, sesame oil, and vegan kimchi. They have a deli area with lots of pre-cooked food, but most of it isn't vegan-friendly, so I usually skip the deli items. I've tried the veggie japchae twice, but it's been very inconsistent. The first time it was good, but the second time, the taste was off. They used to have really good seasoned vegan crispy tofu bites in the frozen section. I can't remember the brand, but I haven't seen them in a while, so maybe they didn't have enough interest to keep them in stock? The line can get pretty long sometimes, but it usually moves quickly. There's plenty of parking, but I've noticed that most customers park poorly (not within the lines), so it can be a bit tricky to find a good spot. I'd probably come here more often if they had a better vegan / plant-based selection.

Been going here since they were K-Market and have been a rewards member since. After hitting my 1000 points redemption, I think it's about time for a review. Love the ample parking, prime location, and how spacious it is inside. The rewards system is essentially a 1% cash back at a 1000pt cliff -- meaning you get $10 after you spend $1000 but no redemptions before that. Being a member also doesn't get you any additional discounts vs non-members. But hey it's free so it doesn't hurt. I'll always support there being more Asian grocery stores in the West Side of the South Bay. H-Mart always had that spot for me, but now it's shared. Mega Mart's marketed as a more premium store, but it does its best when they're running sales. Price between the two are pretty neck and neck. You'll spend anywhere from $70-$200 per trip cuz the small things do add up. They used to have prepped food marked off anywhere from 30-70% off in the final and early hours of the day. Now, it's an inconsistent luck of the draw. However, I've never had an issue with food quality with anything I've purchased whether it be prepped food or raw ingredients. 4/5, solid store. Hope they continue to grow and thrive as a mainstay of the community.

I absolutely love this place! I usually come here to get food to go! They always have food that's cooked and fresh. They have authentic Korean food in addition to desserts. You really can spend a very long time in here deciding what you really want or just get everything. I have made multiple trips just to try different items. They always add new stuff too!!!

    Salmon nirigi

Sweet corn was really, REALLY bad. It almost tasted like i was biting into fake corn on the cobs. The salmon nigiri sushi is very yum, i usually ate this one without the provided soysauce because I'm gluten free and the fresh fish honestly doesnt need it. Tastes great with the wasabi

Pretty decent Korean market. This market is where I found the viral sweet potato bread. Not sure how long it's been in the freezer because there was some slight freezer burn when I opened the package. They also have a hot food section. In the evenings, some items will go at a discounted price. During my first time shopping here, I didn't know why everyone was just waiting around. Turns out, customers are waiting around for the prices to drop. And just like that, most of the top selections will be emptied out of the shelves fast.

Produce sticker cooked onto the food
    Christina L.

Sigh... and this is why I'm always hesitant to eat out. To be fair, the food selection looked fresh and yummy, and I was hungry, so I picked up the eel 'deopbap' from the ready-to-eat section. I've found all sorts of things in premade food over the years: hair, caterpillars, spiders, and today, I get to add a produce sticker to the list. Finding a sticker literally cooked onto the green pepper tells me everything I need to know: the vegetables weren't washed or even glanced at before being tossed in. I'd only recommend eating here if you don't mind a lack of basic food safety/cleanliness. It's clear the prep staff is just going through the motions. Otherwise, stick to buying the raw ingredients here and cook for your family at home where you know the food is actually being cleaned.

    Unagi and salmon nigiri

Great supermarket for most Asian foods and snacks! They have the viral mango ice cream here along with grape flavor. Lots of deals here as well. Quick and easy place to grab some Korean dishes. Food in the deli section has been hit or miss for me. The kimbap so far has the best value and tastes the best. Huge portion and assembled well with bulgogi. The boneless crispy chicken has a good sauce to it and if you come when it comes out, it will still have a slight crisp to it. Hold wells for a bit but do get soggy. I'd avoid the nigiri and unagi here. The salmon didn't have much taste and is just texture. The unagi was very tough and chewy with some pieces having bones in them. The rice is a bit hard. Didn't expect much from grocery market sushi but still fell below my expectations. The Dubai chocolate sulpang was delicious. Creamy and love the crispy pieces on top. They have a drinks section as well that I'll try next time.

This spot is like Korean food take out heaven! We got the vegetarian Kimbap, gyoza, and radish with kimchi. It was a fulfilling meal. Their ready to eat food options are expansive and they keep refilling it too! The take out food was affordable. I want to try some of their pastries next.

This location honestly makes the Fremont store look so bad. This Mega Mart is actually of the right size, it's comparable to an H Mart. The aisles were neatly organized, clean, got sampling stations here and there (usually by the freezers). The prices aren't too crazy either, they have deals from time to time, just watch out for those yellow tags. MM is almost like my go to when it comes to green onions, tofu, noodles, and frozen kimbaps. Those of you who are only about the Trader Joe's frozen kimbap is sleeping on the selection here. Like the other MM location, they have a deli and bakery on the far end. Their deli selection has kimbap, japchae, variety of rice bowls, "fried" chicken (they're more on the soggy side), banchan galore, dumplings, bibimbap, and sushi. Unlike Japanese supermarkets, they just have all day 30% off or $10 flat on certain items. I've seen that deal on rice, noodles, and sushi, pretty good for a quick grab and go meal. Their bakery has prepackaged breads and cakes. They got those fancy fruit sandos, mochi breads, cream breads. They're okay, I feel like I've had better at standalone bakeries for sure, but some days you just can't say no to a cute little corn shaped mochi bun.

Today, I bought the sliced radish kimchi (깍두기). The label says packed on March 15. At home, I tried it and it tasted awful -- like it was way over-fermented and rotten. I grew up eating this side dish, and it's my favorite, so I was extremely disappointed that I had to throw it out. What a waste!

I love H-Mart. But I think I love this place even more! They just have so many things here, and I feel like I can explore for a while. There are so many things I want to try. I really love their ready meals at the deli. Their bulgogi is so good! They have so many different options to choose from, especially on weekends! They even have a sushi section, but I haven't tried their other meals yet. However, the hot meals are definitely a plus. Their bakery is pretty tasty as well. They even have those viral vegetable mochi, like the purple potato, corn, and chestnut, already made. I definitely bought some of those. Some of their baked goods are too cute. It definitely gets busy here on weekends, but it's not that bad. I will definitely keep coming back here.

Do they have a food court where they make food to order? Thank!

No they do not. They do have a small stand in the building that serves snacks and drinks but it's outside of mega mart. Area 51 has food and drink places but again outside of the mega mart building.

It's like a cross between a western style bbq joint and a middle eastern twist with its meats and food. Turns out, this place is mainly an Afghan restaurant! It's half eatery half a butcher shop for people to come and purchase fresh meats for some home cooking. In fact, I watched a lot of people coming in and ordering meats to go. I ordered their chili lamb kabob which was tender and juicy. It had lots of flavor from the spices but enough to where it wasn't overwhelming. I ordered it on top of a pillow of rice which was fluffy and buttery textured. It was delicious. There are sauce bottles to pair with the meats which is my favorite part. I really liked their white creamy yogurt sauce mixed with their red house chili sauce. It gave my lamb meat so much flavor and some heat. I loved my order and will definitely order two next time. I also want to try their steaks. They take their time grilling their meats so orders can take a short while. It's worth it for sure. No complaints here but I do wish they played some light music in the background for some ambiance. Things can be real quiet in here so it can be awkward dining in. Other than that, I really like this place and will be back for more.

Since it was our first time, she took the time to explain the menu and gave us a chance to look everything over before ordering. We decided to go with the base AYCE option since my kids don't eat much. One thing I appreciated is that they offer discounted AYCE pricing for kids. For the base plan, children ages 5-8 are $12, while ages 9-12 are $24. Each person in the party can order two portions of meat to start, followed by one portion of meat per person for each additional round. The sides are unlimited. The meat quality was good, and the portions were generous. We ordered a variety of meats and sides, including: Pork Belly, Pork Jowl, Brisket, Garlic Marinated Kalbi, Beef Belly ($4), Otoro Kalbi ($4), Shiodare Kalbi ($4), Vegetables (onions, asparagus, and shiitake mushrooms), Appetizer Trio (bean sprouts, kimchi, and shiodare cucumbers), Wrapping Lettuce, Seaweed, Cold Tofu, and Mini Curry Rice. Our server recommended the Golden Egg Yolk Sauce and Green Onion Sauce since they were popular, and she also brought out the other sauces for us to try. Of all the sauces, my favorite was the Golden Egg Yolk Sauce, along with the jalapeño sauce, which paired especially well with the pork belly and pork jowl. Our server also knew we were celebrating my little one's birthday and kindly comped a dessert for him. It was such a sweet gesture and a wonderful way to end our meal! Overall, we had a great first experience at Meat Time. Between the good-quality meats, generous portions, kid-friendly pricing, and thoughtful service, we would definitely return.
