Have you ever wonder how some places have high reviews but your experience doesn't match up? Look at the reviewers. Most reviewers here only have 1 reviews with very few sentences written. This place hands out tokens as an incentive to post a review.

My niece wanted to have a girls' day and wanted to attempt to win a Labubu here. We've both never been to Mega Claws, so it was an experience for us both. Walking in, Mega Claws is clean, tidy, and super cute. The girl at the counter was super helpful. I paid with my card so she was able to help me at the counter and my niece pitched in some of her own money for tokens, but in cash. For cash, there's a kiosk that you can use. The kiosk hates $10 bills though, so it took one and kept spitting the other out. But again, the girl at the counter came and helped us out with it. Once we got our tokens, we were on our way. Super optimistic! We even got free little Labubu plushy pins! There are a good amount of machines for the store being on the smaller side. You had options of winning big and tiny plushies and you can trade it in for Labubus. There was a machine where you could win a box of Pokémon cards too. Our time there was short lived and no official Labubu was won, but we had a great time. We'll be back!

Fun experience!!! This place has a good number of claw machines with mixed kinds of cute plush stuffed toys, some Sanrio characters, Stitch, boba, fruits, and animals. They also vary in sizes. Each token is around $1. Most of the regular claw machines need 1 token. While there are some that need 2 to 3. The high ticket claw machines require 5 tokens, that's for Labubu and other blind boxes. You won't come out empty handed. They reposition the toy if you request them to. They also sell merchandise of popular toys and blind boxes. Definitely a place to try. The staff are also friendly and helpful. Hope to go back again soon.

Baseline price starts at $20 for 22 coins. Most claw games are 1 coin to play. Also, they will throw in 5 additional coins if you follow them on instagram and leave them a yelp review. The game itself is very easy to win and if you have trouble winning you can ask the staff for tips or a readjustment of the prize. After $20 I came out with 4 adorable and super soft plushies!

New claw machine spot. Cute prizes. My kids enjoyed it! They also have Labubu as prizes!

Update: So I gave Mega Claws a second chance and this time, the owner Jonny gave my friends and I some complimentary plays on the machines. I will say I was glad to meet with the owner and try out his machines. As you can see from this photo, we had a great time and, I feel like everyone deserves a second chance to prove to their customers that they can make things right. I'll definitely come back and play again! Shout out to Macey for making our time fun, and enjoyable. She went above and beyond, providing us with great customer service and attention, answering all our questions and helping us "relocate" the plushies to a more user friendly location, for an easier win!

Nice claw arcade in vietnam town. Great entertainment for the plaza which is what its been lacking. The claws are set to win at a reasonable rate, I saw plenty of people winning. But the stuffed animal prizes are relatively low quality. But they do have some unique machines like a 6 claw at once machine. Or a labubu blind box machine. They also have a point system where you can get larger prizes. All in all a fun time for the kids, and a nice addition to the plaza!

One of the six claws at one shot!

Good place to bring your kid to the claws! Prices are good for each play. Good for kids at any age!

    Big wins

Big selection of claw machines with a lot of cute plushies. The machines are mostly the 3 prong claws.

Claws didn't feel as strong as Claw Me in Milpitas. Between 3 of us and 44 coins we only managed one mini plushie. Variety of products, but definitely not a lucky day for our group. They had the option to purchase prizes, which was a nice surprise. Photo machine in the back for $8 with some props

I've been wanting to try this place out for awhile from the great reviews and a recommendation from a friend. This place is spacious, well lit, and inviting. They have a token system and the more you purchase, more bonus tokens are given. I recently went to fluffy town in Oakridge and had a mediocre experience. Based on the reviews here, the claw machines seemed more generous with a wider selection. I decided to purchase $50 in tokens which came with 8 bonus tokens. The claw machines seemed identical to the ones from fluffy town - very difficult. 20 minutes in and my $50 in tokens were evaporated only winning one keychain sized stuffed animal - this was even worse than my experience at fluffy town. I would consider myself a moderately capable person in positioning the claws. I then observed the workers offering to reposition the stuffed animals so I decided to approach the front desk person to ask. I purchased another $40 in tokens ($90 invested total). With the help of the worker, we were able to get one regular sized stuffed animal for each of my daughters (I committed one to both). I unfortunately will not be returning here as I had to spend $90 to only to win two regular sized stuffed animals (only happened with the help of the workers) Had they not repositioned it, I would've left empty handed. My advice is to ask the workers for help right upfront. Best of luck and hope you win tons!

I am so glad I visited this claw machine store in San Jose!! I have been seeing a few of these places online and was so interested to see if it would be worth the money. It definitely was!! There are a nice variety of plushies and prizes to try for, with some being bigger and costing more tokens. However, the majority of machines can be played for one token. The staff were willing to reposition the plushies to make it easier to grab and did this as many times as we asked which was super helpful! In total, we got 4 plushies with a total of 28 tokens. If you follow on insta and post a yelp pic you get 3 free tokens per person which is super nice too!

This place is very nice!! The selections of plushies range in size and they're all so cute. The workers seem nice; you can ask them to rearrange the plushies so that you have a higher chance of winning, which is very useful. I'm glad they finally opened a claw machine location in Vietnamtown.

They are held at California Extreme in Santa Clara, Golden Gate Pinball Festival in Lodi and Pin-a-Go-Go in Dixon. California Extreme is not exclusive with Pinball Machines. There are also tons of arcade games for those who enjoy them. We have enjoyed attending these events whenever we're able to. In the past, our work schedules often got in the way. Now that we're retired, our vacation schedules often cause conflicts. The people who run this event have always done a tremendous job of getting others to bring their beloved machines, set on free play, for the masses to play. In return, they get free admission. A substantial number of volunteers are also needed to load-in, load-out, wipe down, perform minor repairs, scorekeepers, registration, check-in, etc., etc. We attend to see Pinball Machines that we've never seen before, to play with machines that are hard to find, to play new machines, but mostly to play in the tournament. Yes, there are cash purses and trophies or plaques to be one. Bragging rights galore! But for players at my level, it's mostly about WPPR Points that affect your International Flipper Pinball Association Ranking. As I write this review, I am 8640 out of 103,576 players in the world. Does it mean anything? Only to my ego. At one time, I was sub-3000. I simply don't play in enough tournaments to keep my ranking. This year's tournament entry fee was $2 per game. That is not particularly expensive BUT there was no limit to the number of entries that one could purchase. This changes that tournament of skill and luck to one of skill, luck and DEEP POCKETS. In my opinion, there should be a single buy-in. Everyone plays the same number of games on the games that are available. Yes, this will reduce the prize money but so what? Whatever happens, happens. If you have a great day, congratulations. If you have a lousy day, better luck next year. But under the unlimited buy-in, you just keep putting out money until you have a few good games to tie together for your final score. What? The tournaments almost over but you're in 11th place and only the first 10 places are in the money. Well, play some more and hope to improve your score and win! Anyway, without the tournament to play in, I will either only attend California Extreme one day only or skip it all together moving forward. Additionally, this year, for the first time, the Hyatt is now charging $40 to park overnight. This was either not disclosed at the time of booking or I somehow missed it. When I complained, it was discounted $20 because I was staying there for California Extreme and another $10 because I'm a Hyatt member. I was told that, "all the other area hotels are charging more for parking and the Hyatt is just trying to catch up." There was a 49ers exhibition game on Saturday, August 19th, and parking was expected to be at a premium and traffic would be a zoo. To counter that, we arrived way early to get a space. We arrived at 8:30 for a 10:00 opening. Because we left the house so early, we didn't have time to eat breakfast, but we had plenty of down time in the hotel (check-in was at 3:00pm), so we opted for breakfast in the hotel (see our review for Evolution). Breakfast Buffet at $28 per person vs Continental Breakfast at $22 per person. So, while California Extreme is still lots of fun, between the costs and the crowds and a Deep Pocket Tournament, it may be time for us to move on.
