Meetrice Noodle 蒙自源云南米线 in Richmond is a total win for noodle lovers. They serve UNLIMITED RICE NOODLE REFILLS for dine-in! What we ordered: Fish Maw Chicken Rice Noodle (招牌花胶鸡米线) - This bowl is loaded with fish maw (collagen boost). The broth is silky, smooth, rich, and insanely flavorful. Must order! Laotan Sauerkraut Rice Noodle (老坛酸菜米线) - Tangy, mildly spicy, and so authentic. We topped ours with quail eggs, tofu skin, and crispy beancurd rolls... 10/10 satisfaction! Marinated Meat Platter (卤味三拼) - A flavour-packed mix of tender meats, perfect for sharing or pairing with your noodles. A must-try if you love bold and comforting Chinese flavours! The rice noodles here are the highlight--silky, smooth, and chewy with the perfect bite. Portion sizes are generous, prices are reasonable, and the broth variety makes it fun to explore. We'll definitely be back. If you're a rice noodle lover, this is a must-try spot in Richmond. Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! Price: $30-$40 for two (lunch) Presentation: 2/5 Parking: 1/5 There are too many restaurants in the same plaza. Plan your visit accordingly. Tips: * Offers unlimited rice noodles. Amazing value! * Perfect post-badminton (or any workout) meal in Richmond. * Don't skip the sauce station--you can mix your own dip to your liking! Return: Yes ‍

I am in awe of MeetRice Noodle restaurant's extensive menu and generous serving portions. We tasted their creamy and tasty Fishmaw chicken noodle soup and tomato rice noodles. They have many dishes, including appetizers such as crispy chicken nuggets and a cold dish sampler of chicken gizzard, okra, and fungus. I also loved their sauce and dip area, where you can mix your own. During our visit, they have a great deal of $16.99 for a drink, main dish, snacks, or appetizers. I highly recommend checking them out.

Soup noodles that Chairman Mao would approve of. As of the time of writing, this is my favourite of the 3 locations in town. Parking is completely insufficient in the strip mall lot. There are too many restaurants and not enough spaces. Park on the side streets instead. Cough. The interior is the nicest of the 3 locations. The mountains along the back wall are pretty cute. I had the spicy noodle soup. Decent portion, and the soup had some heat but wasn't deadly spicy. This place offers unlimited noodle refills. Be sure to load up. The trick is to slowly eat the goodies in the soup while gorging on noodles, and to save a bit of everything until the very end. I also had the salty peppery chicken and deep fried squid. Both were tasty, and comparable to any Taiwanese place. Yes, I know this place technically isn't Taiwanese food. This place also uses the crazy long long menu like the Burnaby (Royal Oak) location, but serves the noodles in square plastic bowls (non disposable) like the Vancouver (Main) location. Even though they're a chain, I will definitely consider coming here again whenever I'm in the area. Recommended.

This place is very popular to order on Uber eat and other food delivery company. I've had a chance to sit inside and taste the food in the restaurant. The restaurant is very clean and is set up for social distance. Their menu is very intense, listed all kind of noodles and the extra you can order from. I wasn't feeling adventurous, so I ordered their signature cross bridge noodle with beef, and extra fish slices. The broth seemed to be boiled for a long time with a creamy color, and there were lots of ingredient in the broth. I found fish tofu, beef, quail egg, black fungus, imitation crab, and spam. There were very little veggies in the broth which I wish to have more. Another thing I found is the broth is very salty. It could be just me who don't put a lot of salt in my daily cooking. However, I don't feel thirsty after drinking the broth, which means there's no MSG in the soup. Their service was very good since I was the only customer inside. Their waiter kept checking on me to refill water etc. maybe next time I'll try something different.

We have had some of the best soups at this wonderful establishment! My favourites are the lamb soup, the tomato soup, and the golden chicken soup. The servings are generous and the flavour is deep. They also have wonderful service for both their dine in and takeout. We keep coming back here because they have so many varieties of soups to try. I would recommend trying this restaurant for a satisfying meal. Can't wait to try more of their dishes next visit!

Came here with a couple of friends just before it closes This is a chain restaurant, but it seems like each location is quite different. Some had more of a classy vibe, and food come in box trays where toppings are separated, and this one doesn't. This one has a pink panther theme, a bit odd but I don't mind it. Parking in this plaza was quite brutal. Most of the parking spaces are reserved for other shops there. We ordered some f the staple noodles there, the broths are all quite nice, flavorful and didn't taste like msg. although the noodles are still abit hard. 15-16 bucks for just the noodle is okay, but if you start to add abit if extra meat or topings, it quickly turn into a $25-30 bowl of noodle which is just hard to justify. Service was really quite slow cause there's only one person working, but he apologized for that when we were leaving. So it's good that they acknowledged it. There's a lot of people ordering takeout from this place which made service even slower. But overall it's okay... Food 8. Service 6.5. Ambiance 7. Value 7.

Cross bridge noodles are coming up and MeetRice is one to stick on that bucket list! You choose a broth, which most already come with a protein, and add some toppings for extra charge. Then the soup base comes with a bowl of noodles and a box of toppings and instructions. There's also a sauce station on the side for you to customize the flavour to your liking. The decor is really cute. A library exists at the front and I think if you have their membership, you can borrow books! The only downside was the fruit flies flying everywhere. We killed like 4 during our meal...

I was visiting Vancouver this last weekend and happened to find this noodle shop. It was a new experience for me trying this kind of Chinese food. I ordered the mushroom broth noodle soup with beef. The broth was very good, both savory and hearty, the mushroom flavor was on point. The presentation of the complimentary toppings was really interesting. The noodles were cooked perfectly and finished the dish. Service was excellent and the staff was extremely attentive. When I visit Vancouver in the future I'll definitely stop by again.

There are so many flies here. If you enjoy extra proteins and company in your meal, you must come

Crab Claw - No idea why we decided to have this as lunch, was pretty impulsive - did take some time to arrive , very meaty , so nothing to complain about. Fried Tofu - was the dish highlight, nice crisp with a warm soft interior, spiced to perfection! Wine drunken Chicken - was soft and juicy, however aside from the cooking wine taste, there wasn't anything more to add. I would skip a re-visit , as Richmond is pretty competitive, however it's not bad and worth a shot.

She wanted to go to Kirin. Plenty of parking in the mall. Hostess greeted and seated us promptly. Restaurant was busy but not crazy. This was at 10am on a Thursday. Waiters were attentive. Usual table service was in place. Took our order and food came out at acceptable pace. When we were done, they politely boxed up the leftovers and we paid our bill. So service was on point. The food we ordered came out hot. The staples that I order to test was hargow, suimai and pai gwut(spareribs). All 3 dishes in general were good.....the hargow could have used an extra minute or 2 in the steamer. The suimai was very good. I tasted every ingredient in this dish. Usually it is just a complete mix and you can't discern the different flavors. They tried something different with the cheongfun by adding pieces of Chinese donut to the roll. I personally think it didn't add much to the dish, taste or texture wise. I did like the pea shoots with shrimp. I think it is a good combo. All in all a good dimsum. I also noticed they did not charge us a tea service. The cost of the food is comparable with other restaurants at this level. I have many Chinese friends in Vancouver, and my last visit to Kirin Richmond was in July 2024…read more This time, it was my birthday, and my friends insisted on treating me to Kirin Richmond once again. On a typical Sunday evening, the restaurant is usually fully occupied, but my friend had thoughtfully made a reservation a week in advance, so our table for five was ready upon arrival. As always, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, with good airflow thanks to the wide-open front entrance facing the parkade. The front desk receptionist greeted us cordially, and we were escorted to a cozy table in a comfortable location -- not too close to the washrooms, which I appreciated. Our meal began with the Kirin Special Assorted Cold Appetizer, followed by Crab Meat, Dried Scallops, and Fish Maw Soup. The soup arrived piping hot and was delicious, with a generous portion that could easily have served eight people. We also enjoyed Pea Tips Braised with Bean Curd and Assorted Mushrooms in Consommé, Marinated Free-Range Crispy Skin Chicken, Fillet of Cod Sautéed with Seasonal Vegetables, and Live Crab in Consommé with Ginger and Green Onion, served with E-fu Noodles. Overall, the quality and taste of every entrée were excellent. Service was top-notch -- tea and hot water were refilled constantly, bones and used plates were replaced promptly, and the servers were friendly and engaging throughout the evening. My friend and his family have apparently been regulars at this location for over two decades, which likely contributed to the exceptional attentiveness we received. However, one aspect of the experience genuinely disturbed me. All servers, including the captains, continued to wear masks at all times. While this practice was understandable two years ago, now -- five years after the onset of the pandemic, with COVID-19 managed similarly to other seasonal respiratory illnesses -- the continued universal masking in a fine-dining environment feels unnecessary and detracts from the overall guest experience. Fine dining, in my view as an avid foodie, is built on human connection, hospitality, and personal interaction. Masks create a more impersonal, almost clinical atmosphere. In a well-ventilated space like this, the environmental risk does not seem to justify the visual and social trade-off. Rather than providing reassurance, the persistent masking may unintentionally signal that the environment is unsafe or that management is out of step with current provincial health guidelines, where masking is now a personal choice rather than a mandate. Final verdict: Food & Service: 5/5 Ambience: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 -- as the current aesthetic feels more like a relic of 2020 than a leader in 2026 hospitality.

We made a reservation on OpenTable (which is a rare platform to use among Chinese restaurants in Greater Vancouver). We were seated a few minutes after arrival. The space feels energetic. It's a more modern restaurant, so there is much color and younger vibrancy than a traditional Chinese restaurant. What else is different? No round tables - only smaller square tables - which means it's better designed for small groups rather than large groups. We ended up trying a number of items: - Beef Belly Skewers: Very good. Everyone loved them. I wished we had ordered more. - Chicken Skewers: Ok. I think asked for something but they ran out and gave us gizzards and hearts, which are never good because they become mealy and not enjoyable to eat. - Dungeness Crab with Salty Egg Yolk: Good. Prepared as well as lots of restaurants. They provide disposable gloves to eat with, but nothing to crack the shells. - Stir Fried Vegetables: Good. No complaints. - Fresh Fish with Tofu Hot Pot: Very good. - Fresh Fish Steamed: Very good. - Lobster with Sticky Rice: Very good. Service is really very good. Genuinely more friendly and talkative than I'm accustomed too, but I appreciated. Overall, a good meal. It was different in that the decor and service is what really stood out, and that's the difference maker compared to most other Chinese restaurants with the same quality of food. We tried the braised combo (pork ear, pork intestines, fish cake), Taiwanese egg wrap, braised pork sauce rice with deep fried pork chop, and yam taro mochi balls. The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay. Yam taro mochi balls were sweet and chewy. I don't like taro but I loved this dessert! Service is okay. They give a water jug for self pour but the water jug was of questionable cleanliness. The specials were not discounted so we called it out and we weren't told that we had to put the order with a server, not the QR code, so it was a strange interaction. Also, they shut down ordering 1 min before 10:30pm - guess they didn't want more money as we wanted to order 1 more dish and they preemptively told the kitchen to close.
