Not sure who all these people are giving five star reviews but our experience was definitely not…read morefive star. We all had grilled sandwiches which were basically tasteless and served lukewarm not hot. Also, we asked for one sandwich without pesto, and they didn't even get that right. Sorry guys, with that limited of a menu, you really should be doing better.

I brought my husband here in his birthday because this place is the only place that serves Indonesian food close to Kalamazoo in Michigan. (Served on Friday and Saturday only) The Indonesian food offers last only until the end of November but i truly wish if they make it a permanent dish on the menu. We ordered beef rending and chocolate lovers toast. (The cafe is specialized in toast dessert) Oh my! I can't discribe enough how delicious both were. The beef was very tender and very delicious. It came with basmati Rice, salad , cucumber and Indonesian crackers. For $17 only. It was a good portion and it eas served in a very eyes satisfying way. Very good deal.100/10 The chocolate lovers toast was beyond our expectations, it came with vanilla ice cream and filled with cinnamon and chocolate sauce. 10/10 The owner cucu helped in celebrating my husband birthday and arranged for the surprise. There was a japanese maids show in the same day taking place at the cafe. Fun and entertaining! I highly recommend this place! And I am definitely considering myself a regular her from now on!

Logistics. In shopping plaza, just east of Marsh Road along northside of Central Park Dr,…read moreconnecting to Time Square Drive, in Okemos. Vibe and First Impressions. Galley-like set up as you walk in. Breakfast diner vibes more than 'cafe and bakery'. Kitchen to your left as you walk down short corridor into cafe. Sloth-like chill attitude encouraged; the hashtag is #letshangtogether. Had fun looking at all the little sloth decor throughout. Lots of light and glass. VERY limited seating; seats about 15 (?) inside; mostly 2 tops and a 6 top. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly, permitted to sit where ever we would like, then handed menus. Turkish music playing was just a bit too loud. Hospitality. Friendly and helpful. Owner-chef seemed very happy to be there, singing and engaging with his regulars. Offerings. Basic breakfast and lunch items with Turkish and Mediterranean classics. No flavored lattes but other basic espresso drinks offered. Chai was excellent. Had the Turkish coffee because it was a Turkish joint; was REALLY good; strong. We had the Simit Platter; sesame-like NY bagel, feta chunks, and olives. All very good. See pics. Apparently they offer cooking classes, catering, and meal prep pick-up -- for ever-changing healthier, fresh, easy-prep take-out options. Of Note and Last Impressions. Lot parking. Overall, fun.

It was tasty and even better with the bread they provided. It could've been packaged in a better way because the oil dripped out everywhere by the time we got it home. Maybe a plastic container with a tight fitting lid. The mezze platter was also quite nice, especially the carrot appetizer. The bulgur patties were also flavorful. The artichoke was slightly disappointing because it didn't have any other flavor than salt and vinegar, similar to canned/bottled artichokes. The salad was fresh and the dressing was light. Overall, this was a light and tasty lunch.

Finally! A bakery which has excellent customer service AND excellent baked goods! Other bakeries…read moreboast "old world recipes", too, but too much butter doesn't make it better. I ordered a German Chocolate signature cake and it was beyond delicious! The cake itself was moist and flavorful and the icing was perfect. It wasn't too sweet and was noticeably made from fresh ingredients. I never refuse a piece of cake, so from experience I can say that this German Chocolate cake was the most authentic you'll find in the greater Lansing area. The staff is very professional, helpful, and pleasant. They delivered the cake to my front door at no extra charge and took precautions such as a "no contact delivery." Their prices are reasonable, and moreover, less expensive than their competitors.

The only place to get any info on this company is external sites such as google or yelp. This company doesnt have a BBB site so i have requested to make one via bbb.org to add an additional source so people dont get duped by Whipped Bakery's practice of deleting complaints. This company has tried to smear customers on their facebook page, deletes all reviews that are negative and even blocks accounts on facebook to prevent any kindve negative review. They have crossed a line with the community and are getting farther from getting any sort of respect back. This company in my opinion doesnt deserve business of hard working citizens, not after how i have seen how they conduct said business. ***End of updated section*** Avoid this place in regards to events and poor customer service. Between the staff being extremely unhelpful to an owner that is brazen and rude enough to try and over charge on a kids 5th birthday this isnt a place to do any event with kids of any age. Was advertised on facebook for a great place to do a kid birthday but thats far from truth. The staff was unpleasant - not as in they were extremely rude in the yelling manor but more of the crowd that never smiles and doesnt appreciate life. Doesnt introduce themselves, never gets involved and has a feeling of not wanting to be there. As a crowd that has small children every parent pitched in to clean up and help setup. The space was extremely small and even when told how many people were going to be there nothing was mentioned about how they dont have the seating to accommodate all (total of 8 children and 5 adults) - 6 seats for that crowd, I would think at least get enough for the kids - or better yet - explain to your customer prior that they would have to bring their own seats would be wise in my opinion. This was booked 30+ days in advance. We didnt complain about this when we arrived or left, its something i thought i would add just in case someone likes to deal with these kindve situations even after reading a detailed review. Lets move onto desert. Taste wise, ill give credit where credit is due - not bad, TBH had better for the price but thats not the point. The main point is that when making a unicorn cake whipped bakery missed the mark, even having a very well inspiration photo that isnt over the top. Well, I cant tell if they were purposely slapping us in the face or if it was i giant artistic mistake. After speaking to the manager/owner - im feeling it was both. To explain the major issue - they cant do a unicorn's horn at all... or ears... If you cant do it - please state that before hand instead of trying and making it look like something you would buy from an 'adult super market', if ya know what i mean. Moving onto price. The business was paid a $75 deposit, then prior to the event paid $187 for a cake and cupcakes ($135 for the cake, $42 for 24 cupcakes) after the event we paid the remaining balance for time/space of their floor ($75) and shakes made for everyone ($31 total, $10 for the b-day kid and $3 for the remaining 7 kids) bringing our end checkout $108 and change after taxes - where the issue comes in with price is the owner tried to have her lovely staff charge us ~$170 instead of $108. We had all the receipts to show what was needed to be paid/been paid and was explained to them what was going on but that is when things went real south. After having to listen to the owner huff and puff their stuff on the phone we thought that was the end of it. Unfortunately the owner then took it upon themselves to smear us on facebook. Saying we left things a mess and didn't pay our bill. When rebutted on their comments with class (no yelling, no name calling or being spiteful) comments would be deleted and accounts banned from their page only leaving the handful of praise comments that have no clue of the situation - and now cant be educated on the situation. When someone treats customers of their own community like this it screams volumes at the horrible person they have, and are, continuing to become. To go into detail about the mess - we had 2 out of 50 balloons pop, 1 was a small filled confetti balloon and the other wasn't filled. We picked up what we could and a small amount of confetti was left (all on the floor, none on products/counter tops) . Not done though, again credit where credit is due - we left a balloon group (about, 10 balloons). Now, this was an accident because we were so taken aback on how the staff treated us it was just forgotten - i guess you can say we wanted to get out of that horrible experience and never go back but in our haste forgot a handful of blown up balloons. To be smeared over that is completely unacceptable.
