I had a wonderful experience here. This is my first time going to an Indian wedding so I've never had worn clothing like this and Meenu walked me through it all. She was kind, patient, and so so helpful. Here are the facts (proof/receipts available as well). 11/29/19 - Paid in full the cost for two kurta pajamas to be made using the fabric I dropped off 1/5/20 - Reached out for an ETA and status of the progress. I was told the "tailors don't like to see that work like that in progress" and was told to stop by for the refund if I'm not comfortable with this. 1/22/20 - After some back and forth, I was told the Kurta Pajama's will get started on 1/26/20 2/2/20 - Followed up for an ETA and received no response 2/9/20 - Followed up for and ETA and received no response 2/11/20 - I was told I would receive a call but never received a call 2/12/20 - Followed up on ETA and why I haven't received an update/response since 2/2/20 2/12/20 - I was told there was a family emergency which is the reason for the lack of response and I will have an answer by the weekend. No update received. 2/17/20 - Followed up again 2/18/20 - Received a response stating the tailor was not home when Meenu stopped by looking for an answer. She went back in the morning to find her tailor is not there again. 2/19/20- Received a response from Meenu saying she was unable to stop by her tailors house due to the fog outside. I requested my fabric back and the full refund. 2/22/20 - I traveled out to long island from my apartment in the city just to pick up the fabric and receive my refund. You be the judge! read more

I have been a client of Meenu's since probably 2010! She is sweet, patient, fair, understanding, honest, and kind. It is the best customer service I receive and she does her best to make her clients happy. I am getting married in a few weeks, and I trusted Meenu to do my bridesmaids outfits as well as some of mine. I was nervous because my bridesmaids outfits were coming from India but she updated me ALL THE TIME on the outfits, sketches, when they were shipped to NY, and when she got them. I gave her pictures for my girls and the outfit came out PERFECT, just like the picture. I was not disappointed what so ever, nor were my girls. In fact, all of them loved them, said they would wear them again, and said they trust Meenu to do custom orders for her. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Now, I needed a few outfits for myself, everything I picked didn't look right because of it being to big, but she made sure to make it fit to me and so did her tailor. Absolutely the most heartbreaking and disappointing experience I have been through. I tried to buy my bridal outfit with her and bought it from her even though I have never really heard of her store because she seemed so invested in trying to make me happy and getting me my dress within the time frame I needed it (since there wasn't much time). I thought its a newer store away from the others so maybe she wants to promote herself by investing her time on bridal clients. I felt good after going through all the details of the dress since it was being ordered. She already had the dress as a sample in the store so other than a few modifications I thought there was no way she can mess this up. So I trusted her and paid in FULL (biggest mistake ever). Time comes around for my dress to arrive and she won't answer her phone. OK, no big deal, after a few tries she finally answers and tells me my dress isn't here because of 4th of July delay etc. they weren't able to ship it. I believed her even though the dress is being sent from India and I don't see why shipping it out before July 4th to the US would cause their end to have delays but OKAY. She told me it will be here the next week. Keep in mind since she promised my dress on the 5th my in laws flew in just to see the first fitting and they couldn't. Okay things happen. I call the following week to ask when I can come in and she said because the dress has SO many can cans to it that it couldn't pass customs and it will be guaranteed shipped out the following week. You would think at this point I would've flipped out right? no. I waited patiently for the next week and she never calls me to update, it's always me calling her to know the status. She finally tells me it came and I set an appointment to come in to see it that weekend. I call her the day of to let her know I'll be on my way and she tells me not to because she's busy with another client and to come in the following week. So now I start to sound irritated because I have less than 3 weeks till my wedding and I haven't seen my dress and I have so many things that needs to be done. She starts giving me all this explanation about why I shouldn't come and fed up I told her fine I'll come in that week. I go in and as soon as I walk in I felt off. She pulls out my dress from the box and right off the bat, the can cans weren't on (which was the lie for the 2nd delay), and the dupatta color was wrong. It was a plain dupatta not like the store sample I ordered which was much fancier. I took a deep breath and tried on the dress. NOTHING fit and nothing was right. The dress was made cheaply and she got into an argument with my aunt because my aunt asked her about the dupatta. I broke down in the fitting room, full anxiety filled. My mom tried to help by trying to speak nicely to the lady to calm her down and tell her this isn't right. The lady (Meenu) went and got her book after she argued with us this is what we ordered and upon looking at her notes said we were right. She told me everything will be fixed by Friday (it was Monday). I called her Tuesday again to confirm things will go as asked and she said yes come in Friday we will have it ready. I called her Friday and she tells me she will let me know if I can come in. We are down to the last 2 weeks and few days to my wedding and I have a thousand and three things to do so I try to schedule time for things. I told her multiple times you can't block out time and cancel on me and expect me to move things over according to her. So I told her fine take the time and I will come in the next day (Saturday) at 3PM confirmed. The next day I was about to leave my house to go there and she calls me to say to come about 5 hrs later. I have had it at this point. She clearly does not respect anyone's time. I am booked from morning to night with vendor appointments. I expect someone who has delayed me 4 weeks now to be more punctual. I hung up on her super upset and haven't heard from her since. Simply UNACCEPTABLE. I am now a week away from my wedding and I am scrambling to find a dress because I simple cannot trust her and don't think she ever planned on giving me a proper bridal dress to begin with. She is full of lies to get a sale, will paint you a fairytale picture. the thing that got me so upset was that I also brought my sister in law to buy dresses and she promised them to be done in two days since shes flying back (this was in early JUNE) My sister in law went to pick up her dresses and they weren't done. We thought nothing of it and said take the extra day since I live in NYC I will pick it up. When I asked to recently pick It up at the end of july thinking there's no way it's not done, guess what they haven't touched it. When we go to pick it up the tailor BOTCHES the dress trying to do a few days worth of work in 15 mins. This business is completely unethical and I regret the day I stepped into her store.
