We walked down these creepy stairs, and through a creepy alley, where I saw a giant rat running around. He said it used to be way darker, and there's now lights, and previous dates have been totally sketched out and thought he was going to murder them lol. Came here on a Wednesday night around 9:15pm. Plenty of seats available, and we settled on a nice red velvet couch in front of a coffee table. Got a Corpse Reviver in a teacup. No glasses, as the tea cups were a way to "disguise" the drinks. Absolutely gorgeous room, complete with chandeliers and crimson couches. The phone booth by the men's bathroom is apparently a famous makeout spot--people would close themselves in there for makeout sessions. Definitely a great spot to come to check off a list of New York speakeasies to visit!
