Do NOT go there if you are visiting , I don't about if you are a local! Absolutely the WORST WORST customer service I have ever seen in my life , the guy treated us as he doesn't want us there. The hookah wasn't smoking when he brought it to us with 3 small charcoals, when I told he he brought 1 more and put it there and the hookah burned immediately, the guy doesn't know anything about hookahs. i will certainly return with friends! went for a calm early saturday evening and enjoyed fresh fruit lemon mint juice and hookah with my best friend. they had several televisions of the ufc fight (i think im not sporty) and other games and the volume was low so it was not bothering us while we catch up but we could look at it in between chats. lovedddd the decor and vibes inside. like classy back home vibes. i'm not into clubby purple lights dj music hookah spots. this is my kind of place. one thing though bring cash! lots of places around bay ridge are having lower cash price or not even taking card for a bit because of the merchant fees on the rise. this spot was cash only the night we went. read more

The ambiance alone makes this 5 stars. I climbed up the stairs, opened the door and was floored by the sprawling room in front of me. The other hookah bars we passed by were laughable compared to this oriental paradise. I guess paradise might be a bit of a strong word, but the lounge exuded languid chillness and timelessness. Seating is arranged against the walls so that everyone can see each other, but it actually works really well. You sit wherever you want and enjoy your hookah. I suppose you can order dessert or food, but why else would you go there? I ordered a maamool, which was a Middle-Eastern pastry of sorts with cheese in the middle and powdered sugar on top. I tasted a faint hint of rosewater. The pastry shell itself is crumbly, like a sable cookie (but not as hard) and the cheese is mild, like a denser version of ricotta. I probably won't get it again, though. I had to ask what the hot drinks were (Yansoon - like chamomile, Zangabeel - ginger ... don't remember the rest). My boyfriend had lured me here with the mint tea (I LOVE Middle Eastern mint tea), but I had forgotten that it was 90ºF outside. The waitress dryly recommended against getting hot tea. Oh - there's no air-conditioning. The fans definitely kept us feeling fairly comfortable - no goosepimply legs or arms here, and I think the warmth contributed to the feeling of being in the Middle East. I don't really know how else to describe this lovely space. My boyfriend broke out every few minutes of his hookah enjoyment to say "This is SO nice" and I definitely enjoyed leaning back into the cushions and chilling out. That said, I don't know if it'd be super enjoyable for women. The clientele seems to comprise of middle-aged Middle Eastern men. We were the only non-Middle Eastern people there. There are TVs that are currently showing the World Cup, which makes it an ideal lounging place for the summer. I don't know what they show during the year. There's also a fairly large private "room" that can be closed off with heavy curtains. Great place to chill and smoke. Although I personally wouldn't come here by myself because I don't normally smoke hookah (and I wouldn't recommend it), I would definitely recommend it to anyone who does. read more

I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here for years now but the new management are a lot better. Also, the hookahs are done a lot better because I honestly can tell the difference from how it was before and how it is now. Also, the food is delicious and the managers are very sweet and welcoming. I come here a lot with my friends because it's not too loud or crazy. It's perfect for a seating that just wants hookah and a conversation or to do homework. This place is cool. The inside is decorated very nicely and is extremely comfy and welcoming. There are many many different flavors of shisha, we had the coconut which was delicious. It's also very well priced which is great. We also had mango juice and pineapple juice, both of which were freshly squeezed and very refreshing. They have three tvs playing Arabic music videos which is also very cool. I'm told they get quite busy during weekend evenings, but we went mid afternoon on a Saturday and had a very nice, chilled out experience. Also the owner is very friendly and nice. I always come here with my friends, or alone to do some work or use the wifi, they have free wifi and are very attendive. During the day the place is very quite and great for me to do work, at night it's not loud and great to relax. I love how their hookah is very authentic and they make it the way u want it. Ive been here a few times now and I have to downgrade this place from 4 to 3*. at first hookah was very good now I feel like its inconsistent.. also I know its not really a resturaunt but the food is not good. I had a shawerma and it was way below average.. also tried the pistachio milk shake (sounded interesting) but it was terrible. Also the staff seems very unhappy.. like they are annoyed when a customer walks in or needs something.. they are polite and all, but its just that feeling you get, its not a happy feeling. Came across this place with a group of friends a couple years ago. Came back with another friend to introduce him to this place. It did not fail. We walked upstairs, opened the door to enter somewhere that felt like we weren't in bayridge anymore. The decorations and set up were very pleasing to the eye. There was no one to great at the door so we choose to sit where ever we wanted (This was great, there is alot of seating so different groups prefer different spots). We ordered the basic hookah and it came out in a matter of minutes. We enjoyed the comfort and the ambience of the cafe because it was relaxing and a great place to chat and catch up. I don't know about everyone else...but I think this place is TERRIBLE! The service is awful. My friends and I went on a Friday night early. There was about 3 other tables. The waitress took our order and was very very rude. I don't think she understood us. We ordered a moroccan tea and she came back with tea with milk. we ordered a fresh orange with orange hookah and it came without the fresh orange. On top of that You Have To Wait A Long Time For Coal changes as no one came to check on us. The hose of the hookah was so dirty and disgusting. There was dust in it. In the water was a floating dead roach. We ordered a plate of fries...that took almost 45 mins and they came cold...and had a hair in it! And that was it for us! We ordered our check (which came overpriced because of the incompetent waiteess) and we got the hell out of there! Worst place in New York! read more
