Her medical knowledge and ability to understand and explain complex health issues are outstanding. She takes the time to listen carefully, answer questions, and make sure her patients feel supported and informed at every visit. Dr. Scott's office reflects the kind of caring person she is. She has pictures of her pets and her children's artwork displayed, which creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. She is also an avid reader and even keeps a small library of books in her office that patients can borrow, showing how deeply she values both health and lifelong learning. My time is valuable and I don't appreciate waiting for what seems like an eternity in the waiting room and then waiting some more once I am in the exam room. That doesn't happen with Dr. Allsup. The most I have ever had to wait is fifteen minutes because there was an emergency patient. Also, Dr. Allsup really takes the time to listen to you and address all your concerns. At other doctors' offices, I 've waited a long time to see the doctor only to be rushed once the doctor comes into the exam room and he/she did not really go over the whole reason I came to see him/her in the first place. Dr. Allsup always makes sure all my questions are answered before she leaves the exam room. She also lets me know whether I am finished or to wait in the exam room for paperwork or testing. Other doctors have left the room, leaving me unsure whether or not I am supposed to wait or if I am actually done with my appointment. In addition, what I really appreciate about Dr. Allsup is that she is very through and follows through. For example, recently she sent me for a bunch of tests. She sent me the results and called me after I received them to go over them with me. There is nothing worse than being sent for testing and having to wait for your follow up appointment to find out about your tests or going in for you followup and the doctor not taking the time to go over your results. I want to know what's going on with my health so I appreciate it when the doctor takes the time to followup with me.
