Do not come here! They are not transparent with their pricing, overpriced, and extremely slow. Huge waste of time and money.

Bonnie took care of my daughter and was super competent and explained each step to us. Also, Jackie at the front desk reassured us and told us they would keep the cost down as much as possible. All along they told us how much each step would cost and it was very reasonably priced. Especially in this time when so many of us have high deductible insurance plans, or no insurance, I really appreciated their transparency.

I've had a very similar cut treated at another urgent care before, where Dermabond was applied successfully to close the wound. I also work in healthcare and have seen Dermabond administered properly many times. Unfortunately, my experience with Carmelia Petch, PA, was completely different. During the application, her hands were noticeably shaky, and the Dermabond was applied messily, leaving purple adhesive across my thumb and hand while parts of the actual incision appeared inadequately covered. Very little of the adhesive was used, and I left feeling as though the wound itself had not been properly secured--the entire reason I came in. Given the location in Westlake and the appearance of such a beautiful, modern facility, I expected a much higher standard of care. The front desk staff was very nice, but I was incredibly disappointed with the treatment I received from this particular PA. It felt like a complete waste of my time and money, and I would not feel comfortable having her treat a similar injury again.

I now know how it feels to receive such care. Home sick with the flu, the last thing I wanted to do was leave the house, let alone wait in a doctor's office for an appointment that would have surely been running late. I called Med 2 You and Veronica was at my house within just a few hours and at exactly the time she said she would be. She was thorough, professional, a good listener and incredibly compassionate. Her approach to healing seems to be a mix of traditional medicine and natural cures which is how I feel about wellness, too. She even brought me a little get well gift! Herbal tea, organic lozenges, Emergen-C, a single serve organic chicken soup...a small gesture, but the gift itself and it's contents made me feel better right away! Such a great touch. The other detail that no other health care provider has ever done - she sent me a "get well plan" email within a few hours of leaving outlining everything I needed to do - even tips for my husband to prevent him from getting my flu! I loved that touch - when you're feverish, you don't always remember instructions-very helpful. Two and a half days since our visit , one email, two phone calls and two texts later...I don't think I could feel any more "cared for". Oh, and did I mention...I feel back to human again. i've gone to this urgent care over the years. the wait time varies but is often long…read more I appreciate being able to email them my health history and medication list, as both are long & complex. I think my doing that may be why the Dr who saw me took me seriously, (i saw he had printed out my health history and had highlighted things in it) and spent more time with me than others have. I was super anxious, wayyyyg overtired, and experiencing very intense restless leg (and other parts of my body) syndrome with many forceful spasms, all my muscles in my body were tightly clenched and i couldn't get them to relax and I was also in a lot of pain (this was due to a recent medication change, and my having a bad reaction to it), which I told them. So, at first I was disappointed because Dr. Joe told me that they couldn't give me muscle relaxers bc they would amplify the effects of the drug i was on that I was badly reacting to, so I felt like crying because i didn't know what to do, how to get help. Dr. Joe recommended I go back to my original dosage of the medication, and took the time to show me stretches i could do, and recommended that I take pedialyte or coconut water, and use arnica cream. i followed his advice, got the arnica tablets for leg cramps (i took 6) and the arnica cream for arthritic relief, which i rubbed all over myself. i drank coconut water and went back to my usual dosage of the medication, and did stretches and doing these things worked; got a full 8 hrs of sleep and only had a few leg spasms the whole night! my muscles feel relaxed now, and I am super grateful for that. I appreciate Dr. Joe listening and taking me seriously and recommending all he did, bc i am now back to my normal level of poor health, which is so much less bad than it was before Dr. Joe's help. Emailing health histories and med lists really may have made the difference here, i'm always going to do that in the future. Their email: occmed.pr@texasmedclinic.com

Was referred to a GI doctor for my stomach issues only, even though I complained about a fever I've had for 3 days. I came in around 9pm so it seemed like they wanted to go home as fast as possible. Also no hand soap in the waiting room bathroom? Not even a soap dispenser in sight. Save the time and go to a different urgent care EDIT: Found out I had severe dehydration and a nasty virus that needed attention from the ER. Wish I would have received better care.

These healthcare heroes got it going on! We arrived at 850AM for a 9AM appointment. We were greeted by a friendly nurse who took our temperature and guided us to a kiosk to pick up the required paperwork. At 9AM we were called and it was shot! shot! shot time! Fifteen minutes later we were on our way. But wait, on our way out we were greeted with cheers, applause, the offer to take a photo, and presented with a goodie bag! When they say Express clinic, they mean express. I've never had a long wait there. The office is clean, well run and every staff member is incredibly competent. I've received nothing short of the best quality care here and am so thankful for it's existence! Their hours of operation are wonderful and really easy for busy working people. I've gone there on a weekend or a night after work, I really appreciate them! I feel like the nurse practitioners are thorough, quick and I feel fully taken care of before leaving. They will even run tests in real time and get you the results as soon as possible if they can. I highly recommend if you need quick and good care!

5/5 Experience at CareNow Urgent Care in Austin…read more While visiting Austin for a bachelorette trip, I had a bit of an unexpected accident at the lake. I accidentally kicked a (thankfully off) boat propeller while swimming and ended up with a pretty deep laceration on my right foot. As soon as I could, I made my way to CareNow Urgent Care; and I'm so grateful I did. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly helpful. The receptionist quickly got me checked in and even looked up my insurance from California. Although I'll need to submit the bill myself, they gave me all the information I needed to request an itemized receipt right away, which made the process much easier. Dr. Estela Mota Garcia took care of me, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, attentive, and gentle throughout the procedure. She made sure my foot was completely numb before stitching it up. I was also given a tetanus shot since I wasn't up to date, and they prescribed me an antibiotic to pick up the same day; which gave me peace of mind as I continued my trip. No one wants to end up in urgent care, especially on vacation, but this visit was efficient, compassionate, and left me feeling genuinely cared for. Thank you to everyone at CareNow for turning an unfortunate moment into a positive experience. Until next time, Austin!

The male receptionist was kind, efficient and pleasant. (I apologize for not remembering names) The young man taking the x-rays also kind and was detailed oriented. The PA was nice, but didn't seem engaged in our interaction. After the x-rays there was a LONG wait time. Finally, the PA comes back and says everything looks fine. I questioned that as there had to be something wrong with the amount of pain I was experiencing. She orders it sent back and now they change to a fracture on rib #8.! I asked for some pain pills just for 5 to 7 days so I could sleep. The PA said she could only prescribe extra strength Tylenol, which does nothing to alleviate the extreme pain I was in. No help at all! Three days pass and I cannot sleep due to the pain and decide to go to Priority Emergency Center. They were INCREDIBLE! Gave me pain meds immediately when they witnessed the pain. they also found through a CAT scan that I had TWO FRACTURES on ribs #9 & #10, NOT #8!! They made sure the pain was addressed through proper meds and wrote out a prescription for a muscle relaxer and 2 strong pain relievers! I left feeling like a new woman! Oh I forgot, they also applied a wrap around the injured area that would stabilize the ribs and provide more comfort...which it did immediately! Please do yourself a favor and go to the Priority office, you will be over joyed with the considerate care and professionalism they provide!!
