Greek Chicken with green beans and potato

So glad we found this family owned hidden gem! The food was plentiful and fresh. Our server, Leo, was friendly, thoughtful and attentive. When our water glasses were refilled, he also brought a glass of ice with it. We ordered both ordered a side salad that was a good, fresh portion with a large slice of cucumber and tomato. The dressing is made in-house and was very tasty! Hubby had the Greek chicken with green beans and Greek potato. The chicken was moist and so flavorful! I had the giro sandwich with fries which was huge and so good!! The pictures don't do it justice. Come in and try it yourself.

Will NOT be returning here OR recommending it again. Placed an order for 2 (customized) Grilled Chicken meals which says is wrapped in a pita. I picked up the curbside order and was handed a bag with a strong, tight knot, so I couldn't look at it until returning home (I had to use scissors to cut it open at home). Arrived home a little after 8pm and when we opened the boxes, the chicken sandwiches were on BUNS. I immediately called, but because it was after 8pm, they were closed, however I left a detailed voicemail and asked for them to return my call. They never did. I decided to give them another chance but after my horrible experience with the owner...who btw the girl at the register said had stepped out, yet was sitting at a table eating dinner and hearing the conversation.....I am NOT going again!! The Manager comes over and asks the issue; nicely explaining what happened and showing him photos of what I received his only and continuous response was "you got the food and never fixed it". Well sir, I did try to fix it by calling and asking you to call back, albeit you had closed but you could have made it right by calling the next day. After going round and round about this with him and he repeating the fact the "I got the food and never fixed it", he finally said "when we run out of pita's they use buns". Okay but WHY don't you tell your patrons this by calling back when the order is being made or make it up by offering a FREE dessert or appetizer or 50% credit off your next (single item) order?? I mean it is a PITA that your meal is being served on, per the menu. After going round and round with this and he kept saying that "I got my food and I never fixed it" he said I could have 50% off my current order, which was all of $10!! Being stunned at this ridiculous offer, he finally just said take your food and he never charged me for it. DO NOT blame the customer when your restaurant doesn't have enough product to serve the customer. There should be better communication between the kitchen and the Manager and the front desk, taking the orders and letting the customer know. I'm heading back to Nick's and Greek Unique.

Food is good overall, but restaurant it a bit outdated. Customer service could always improve.

The food it's just amazing ! I have to say,it's the best Greek restaurant around here!!! The owner Lefteery treated my family like his own!!! He cooks the food with passion and love! You will feel like you are in Santorini restaurant!!!

I've cruised by this place many times while riding the W&OD. Last summer and pulled in to get something cold to drink and they were closed. I recently cruised by and found they were open. Great to sit on their patio and enjoy a cold beverage and watch the cyclers.

This place used to be soooo delicious and clean...now it's greasy and dirty. I've ordered here quite often but had stopped because the food was insanely greasy and the customer service was terrible. Called to place an order to be delivered, was told they don't deliver anymore...wasn't too happy about that but honestly their delivery service was awful, it was always some middle aged guy who wasn't friendly, looked like he wanted to kill you and wouldn't leave my front door until I tipped him, but after his rudeness every time I stopped tipping him because you have to EARN the tip, it's not guaranteed and if the delivery person is friendly then I will gladly tip but that guy was awful. After all of the times he delivered and was so rude I actually called the restaurant and let them know of that and they said they had a few issues and complaints from other people about him as well. I wish they still delivered but I'm glad he doesn't deliver. But I was wanting this food so bad so I drove over to pick up my food and there was only one other person there at 6 o'clock on a Sunday night and I know it's the weekend but I would expect it to be busier. The place was filthy, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in over 30 years, it smelled so bad, the floor was sticky, I mean they need to do a serious overhaul of fixing up the place and cleaning it. It deters customers!! I always get the gyro platter...still as greasy as I remember. But the meat is good. The salad dressing is so darn good. The fries were soggy and greasy. Quite disappointed. The hummus is still as oily as I remember, and lacked salt and lemon. It was just blah. The lady who took my payment wasn't friendly at all and wasn't welcoming. No smile, no hello, nothing. They need to work on their restaurant big time from food to customer service to cleanliness. This place needs serious work. Don't think I'll be back for awhile as they need to change things ASAP.

The biggest thing I appreciate is the consistency--the food tastes exactly the way it should every single time. You never have to wonder if you're going to get a good meal because you always do. What makes Nick's special is that it's truly family owned. The family is from Greece, and they're still very involved in the restaurant. They even come in and contribute many of the recipes, which is why the food tastes so authentic. You can tell it's made with tradition and pride, not just following a generic menu. Their happy hour is one of the best around, with great food and drink specials that are tough to beat. The service is always friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel like you're part of the family. There are plenty of places to get Greek food, but I always find myself coming back to Nick's. The authentic recipes, consistent quality, great happy hour, and genuinely caring staff set them apart. It's the kind of local family-owned restaurant every community hopes to have.

Our Greek burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly, lamb souvlaki was very good the pita tasted house made, light and delicate! A touch too much garlic on the lamb but that might be just me, I'm not a fan of a lot of garlic. Tim said the baklava was excellent. Next time we will try that. We will be back!

So, my baseline remains at what I remember about the MD location I frequented often. It was reliably delicious. Today's visit at the Leesburg location was a pleasant one. Staff were pleasant, welcoming, helpful. The restaurant itself was fairly clean, though upon entering, a table hadn't been wiped off, and there aren't many tables in this small space. Fortunately, it wasn't too crowded. The food was ok. Whiie it was too salty at the Sterling location, it was a bit bland and really greasy at the Leesburg location. When they're running Specials, these are the best value based on portion, what's included, quality, and cost. Don't get me wrong, portions aren't shockingly skimpy. They'll fill you up. Worth the drive? Maybe if I have time to kill to drive 30+ miles to get chow. I always have good memories associated with Big Greek Cafe, so it's still a go-to, but definitely not a frequent visit like I used to make. The food at this location doesn't leave me with the same mouth-watering memories I have from the MD location. However, if you're looking for a better quality fast food experience than those huge national chains, I'd pick Big Greek more of the time.

Fantastic food and great service..with one downside for families…read more.. I got the gyro salad and they were kind enough to swap fries for a small pita, extra greens and tomatoes, with an olive oil and vinegar dressing. It was fantastic. The only downside, which I think was a little unreasonable, is that a mandatory gratuity of 20% is charged on all parties of three or more. So mom, dad, two kids is 20% mandatory; four colleagues. That's excessive for me. I understand the industry norm of 10 or more, even 8 or more, but.. THREE?? For that I wouldn't come back with my family but I would with a friend. That aside and limiting my review to what I experienced, the interior if nice and comfortable, booths are in good shape, there's a nice Christmas tree for the holidays, and the menu is plentiful. A blend between greek and Italian, with some Americanized comfort food thrown in. Pretty much soothing for everyone - a good lunch spot.

I read that the crab soup is very good so I asked if I could substitute that for the fries. (The regular price of the cup of crab soup is $5). The server said there would be a "small upcharge" for soup instead of fries and I said that was fine with me. Well, when my check came I was a little shocked that the "small upcharge" was actually $4, so not quite a small upcharge in my opinon? Had I known I would have just taken the fries to go. $21 plus tip for lunch is pretty pricey. Don't know if I'll be back again.
