Greek Chicken with green beans and potato

So glad we found this family owned hidden gem! The food was plentiful and fresh. Our server, Leo, was friendly, thoughtful and attentive. When our water glasses were refilled, he also brought a glass of ice with it. We ordered both ordered a side salad that was a good, fresh portion with a large slice of cucumber and tomato. The dressing is made in-house and was very tasty! Hubby had the Greek chicken with green beans and Greek potato. The chicken was moist and so flavorful! I had the giro sandwich with fries which was huge and so good!! The pictures don't do it justice. Come in and try it yourself.

Will NOT be returning here OR recommending it again. Placed an order for 2 (customized) Grilled Chicken meals which says is wrapped in a pita. I picked up the curbside order and was handed a bag with a strong, tight knot, so I couldn't look at it until returning home (I had to use scissors to cut it open at home). Arrived home a little after 8pm and when we opened the boxes, the chicken sandwiches were on BUNS. I immediately called, but because it was after 8pm, they were closed, however I left a detailed voicemail and asked for them to return my call. They never did. I decided to give them another chance but after my horrible experience with the owner...who btw the girl at the register said had stepped out, yet was sitting at a table eating dinner and hearing the conversation.....I am NOT going again!! The Manager comes over and asks the issue; nicely explaining what happened and showing him photos of what I received his only and continuous response was "you got the food and never fixed it". Well sir, I did try to fix it by calling and asking you to call back, albeit you had closed but you could have made it right by calling the next day. After going round and round about this with him and he repeating the fact the "I got the food and never fixed it", he finally said "when we run out of pita's they use buns". Okay but WHY don't you tell your patrons this by calling back when the order is being made or make it up by offering a FREE dessert or appetizer or 50% credit off your next (single item) order?? I mean it is a PITA that your meal is being served on, per the menu. After going round and round with this and he kept saying that "I got my food and I never fixed it" he said I could have 50% off my current order, which was all of $10!! Being stunned at this ridiculous offer, he finally just said take your food and he never charged me for it. DO NOT blame the customer when your restaurant doesn't have enough product to serve the customer. There should be better communication between the kitchen and the Manager and the front desk, taking the orders and letting the customer know. I'm heading back to Nick's and Greek Unique.

Food is good overall, but restaurant it a bit outdated. Customer service could always improve.

I've cruised by this place many times while riding the W&OD. Last summer and pulled in to get something cold to drink and they were closed. I recently cruised by and found they were open. Great to sit on their patio and enjoy a cold beverage and watch the cyclers.

The spinach pie platter is the best!! Great white pizza, too. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you really can't go wrong with any dish here.

The flavors here are bold, fresh, and thoughtfully done, with a fun twist on classic Greek dishes. My go-to orders are the Medusa's Nest (seriously addictive), the Apollo sandwich (perfectly balanced and filling), and the Pegasus Gyro Wrap, which are hands down one of the most creative and delicious takes I've had on gyro meat. Everything is well-seasoned, portions are solid, and the ingredients always taste fresh. Service is friendly and efficient, and the vibe is casual but polished--great for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Greek Unique has earned a regular spot in my rotation, and I confidently recommend it to anyone looking for Greek food done right (with a little flair).

Best Greek Food in the Area - Hidden Gem!…read more This place is truly a hidden treasure tucked inside an industrial complex -- a total hole-in-the-wall that you'd never expect to serve such amazing Greek food. It's a family-owned restaurant, and you immediately feel the warmth and hospitality. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food is consistently outstanding -- fresh, authentic, and clearly made with love. What really stands out is that they offer a surprisingly large variety of options for vegetarians -- from delicious veggie platters and flavorful dips to perfectly cooked sides and hearty meat-free mains. It's refreshing to find a Greek spot that treats vegetarian dishes with the same care as everything else. If you're craving real Greek flavors and don't care about fancy décor, this spot is an absolute must-try -- easily the best Greek food in the area.

The entryway, corners, tables, literally everything was super clean. We were immediately shown to a table and the server was super friendly and made awesome recommendations. We've already told several friends about how tasty the food was, how great the service was, and how clean the restaurant was in general. The food is definitely Mediterranean, you'll find several Turkish dishes. The flavoring was absolutely incredible. If you haven't had this type of food before, I suggest that you bring a friend and share several of the dishes. There's outdoor seating available, but since it was winter, and we had a ton of snow, we obviously sat inside. I can't wait until summer to sit outside, have some tasty drinks, and enjoy the delicious food!

Friendly, patient, helpful, and polite. The feel of the location itself is your typical fast-food joint. Get in. Get out. Seemed clean enough. Not very cozy as in a great place to hang out. Not sure how it is during peak hours but the parking lot might get a bit crowded. The street for sure is busy & can cause cars to back up into the parking lot. The food, while not as awesome as I remembered it 5 years ago in MD, is still tasty. Today's visit, the meat in gyros was a bit dry & the gyros & the side of fries I paid full price for were rather skimpy in serving, given that the gyros used to be served with fries included in the price of the gyro. Still, the fries & the gyros still taste good. Not as good a value as in days of old...even on $7 gyro Wednesdays (which used to be $5 gyro Wednesdays). The fried fish sandwich was a good deal in these horrible economic times because it comes with a good-sized filet and fries. Although, $2 extra for Greek fries that only had a tablespoon of garlic, dry herbs, and feta crumbles tossed on top rolling off the fries then pooling at the bottom of the container. The garlic, herbs, & feta are supposed to stick to piping hot fries steaming with the awesome garlicky oil. What I received was really underwhelming and didn't even come close to the Greek fries I remember. So, I'll preface this review conclusion with this: Big Greek Cafe was one of my absolute favorite local joints... the food made me drool just thinking about it. The food was always plentiful in servings, hot, fresh, aromatic, wonderfully delicious, and everything on the menu was such a good value, you'd end up buying a ton of food. Was this trip worth the drive? Glad the curiosity about whether this VA location equaled the MD experiences was satisfied. Probably no longer high on my list to go out of my way to drive 30 minutes to get what used to be my fav sandwich. It seems a little too fast-foodsy, mass-produced now than the original delectable hole-in-the-wall local joint. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely pick up something because it's still tasty...just not as fantastic as I remember.

So, my baseline remains at what I remember about the MD location I frequented often. It was reliably delicious. Today's visit at the Leesburg location was a pleasant one. Staff were pleasant, welcoming, helpful. The restaurant itself was fairly clean, though upon entering, a table hadn't been wiped off, and there aren't many tables in this small space. Fortunately, it wasn't too crowded. The food was ok. Whiie it was too salty at the Sterling location, it was a bit bland and really greasy at the Leesburg location. When they're running Specials, these are the best value based on portion, what's included, quality, and cost. Don't get me wrong, portions aren't shockingly skimpy. They'll fill you up. Worth the drive? Maybe if I have time to kill to drive 30+ miles to get chow. I always have good memories associated with Big Greek Cafe, so it's still a go-to, but definitely not a frequent visit like I used to make. The food at this location doesn't leave me with the same mouth-watering memories I have from the MD location. However, if you're looking for a better quality fast food experience than those huge national chains, I'd pick Big Greek more of the time.

I got the gyro salad and they were kind enough to swap fries for a small pita, extra greens and tomatoes, with an olive oil and vinegar dressing. It was fantastic. The only downside, which I think was a little unreasonable, is that a mandatory gratuity of 20% is charged on all parties of three or more. So mom, dad, two kids is 20% mandatory; four colleagues. That's excessive for me. I understand the industry norm of 10 or more, even 8 or more, but.. THREE?? For that I wouldn't come back with my family but I would with a friend. That aside and limiting my review to what I experienced, the interior if nice and comfortable, booths are in good shape, there's a nice Christmas tree for the holidays, and the menu is plentiful. Well, when my check came I was a little shocked that the "small upcharge" was actually $4, so not quite a small upcharge in my opinon? Had I known I would have just taken the fries to go. $21 plus tip for lunch is pretty pricey. Don't know if I'll be back again.
