The spinach pie platter is the best!! Great white pizza, too. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you really can't go wrong with any dish here.

We ordered delivery from here last night and were completely disgusted when my husband's veal parmesean included a clump. A clump! Of hair! Not just a stray strand. Totally disgusting. I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter and it was tasteless. I've been to Greece. If you want some good Greek food stick with Opa in Ashburn Village. I won't stray from them again. We've been going here since they opened in Ashburn (8 years?). Quality tasty food, great service, and a nice small town vibe make this a local family favorite. The outdoor seating area is nice. Tzaziki sauce is the best in the area. This isn't a date night spot or a drinking hot spot but it's a great choice for a good lunch or dinner with enough to take home for lunch the next day. read more

My boyfriend and I went there for dinner as recommended by a friend. My boyfriend got the caprese and a Greek salad while I got the half chicken with veggies. I really wanted to like this place because they weren't mean or rude (just slow service) but the food was really low quality. My chicken wasn't terrible but the veggies were obviously bought frozen and heated up. The Greek green beans seemed to be prepped the same way then mixed with tomato sauce. My boyfriend caprese salad was just okay nothing special along with the Greek salad. I was disappointed how unfresh the vegetables were. Sadly we won't be going back. I recommend they use fresh and not frozen ingredients next time. Their desserts did look good though! read more

Stopped by after a busy day in the city for dinner. Haven't seen a self serve salad bar for years so that was new and exciting. Everything was fresh on the bar and taken care of. Pizza was very good... It's Greek so expect the thicker crust which I enjoy. I can only give 3 stars for the purpose I got the Blackend Ahi Tuna and asked for Rare.... I had dinner here last night with my daughter. The food was fresh and delicious and we will definitely be going back. We had the spanakopita for an appetizer, the chicken souvlaki for dinner and baklava for dessert. All of the food was fantastic, and the service was great. The staff is friendly and professional. Had lunch here while visiting Ashburn. The salad bar was pretty good, not very extensive, but it did have all you would need for a nice Greek salad. The minestrone soup was tasty as were the stuffed shells with tomato sauce. Large portions too - a kid's size portion of Mac & Cheese was really huge! I would not recommend the Greek lasagna, however. That was kind of bland tasting and maybe just not what I expected. Great restaurant! I come from a Greek family and therefore am pretty picky when it comes to eating Greek style food out. The staff was nice and speedy. Speed was of the essence as my friends and I were on our lunch breaks. The decor is traditional Mediterranean blue with Greek Island vignettes throughout: Very relaxing casual atmosphere. We started our meal with an order of traditional Sakanagi. This is Greek flaming cheese. They actually light it on fire at your table! (Great starter food for a first date if you are looking to impress) For our main courses we ordered the Chicken a la Mediterranean (Basically Greek lemon chicken with a roasted potato and Greek style green beans) and Mousaka (A delicious blend of eggplant, feta cheese, potatoes and seasoned beef served with rice and Greek style green beans) In a word it was heaven. These are the kind of dishes I grew up with and it was wonderful to have that warm cuddly feeling that only a home cooked style meal can bring. The friends I had brought with me were not very familiar with Greek food and loved every bite. They each now want my Mother's recipe for Mousaka so that they can make at home. The lunch special prices are exceptional and it is just the right amount of food. Looking at the full menu the dinner prices are also very reasonable. I enjoyed every moment of our meal from start to finish, and have already promised to take my Mom there when she comes up to visit this summer. read more

We have been to this establishment many times and now I have to rate it with only two stars. The last time I arrived with a family member, they were cleaning up after the Sunday brunch rush and wanted us to sit in an area where there were piles of trash and food! When I objected, they said, "it'll be cleaned up in a minute", I walked out. The food is always one step away from skeptical. Why not serve fresh, stunning Greek dishes that delight the imagination? Get rid of the salad bar, clean the place up, make fresh delicious Greek food and you'll have lines at the door. Put a fresh friendly face at the door and create daily specials made daily. Hey Mediterranean Breeze, do you know me..? I know you, I've been ordering for ten years. When in the hell are you going to get a phone system that remembers who your customers are..? We were sick and tired of giving you our address information every time we call 9 years ago. Do you know how much more efficient you could be..? This is 2014, what is wrong with you people..??? Who the hell wants to have to do that every single time they call..? We'd have been on a first name basis with you guys for a decade now. It's ridiculous, and extremely annoying, get with the program already, listen to your employees. I've had this conversation with a few of then and they all wish you had the system I'm talking about. You wouldn't have to be on the phone with your delivery customers for 10 minutes every time, you're sales would immediately go up, plus it's irritating that you don't know you have a loyal customers like us. How's this, we'll stop ordering, maybe somehow when you do upgrade your system, I'll find out about it somehow and start ordering again. The food here is way better than two stars, but the irritation factor merits the two star review. read more

This place has disappointed my wife and I several times! Why do we continue to torture ourselves with poor service? Cause the food is pretty good. Anyways to make a long story short we've ordered delivery several times over the past couple months. First delivery they forgot my soda ,second delivery they forgot both our drinks. I ask the driver if he could kindly bring back the drinks. He decided to go get them after starring at me like I have 5 heads. So I call them to inform them the young lady that took my order was half asleep and that 2 items were left behind. The manager (name forgotten) was really nice about everything even offered us a free dessert. So why not, I asked politely for the tiramisu and he said he would have everything delivered in a couple minutes. 15 minutes later the driver knocks on my door with the two sodas, yep he forgot the dessert. We ate here last night and had a very pleasant dinner. The meatball parmijan sub and the gyro were good enough to make us return and the service was attentive. The servings ran to the generous in size We opted for the nut cake ( really tiramisou with a nut topping which disappeared quickly. We have enjoyed the pizza at the Herndon location and were happy to find this location. Great breakfast! I've been to Mediterranean Breeze several times for lunch. The food has always been good - I've had lasagne, salads, and gyros. I also like the pleasant atmosphere and service in the restaurant. It's a great place to meet friends for lunch. And I've gotten takeouts before, which worked out great. We decided to try Sun breakfast because I'd heard from others that it was great. And they were right! The food was delicious, prices were good, service was nice. Home fries and french toast were really tasty, eggs cooked perfectly, great bacon, good coffee, fresh squeezed OJ available. I think it's now our #1 place in Ashburn for breakfast. read more

I wish I had read some reviews before I went to this restaurant. I stopped in and the hostess told me to sit anywhere and someone would help me. The tables were littered with crumbs. I sat at one right near the front and waited for someone to acknowledge me. When I saw that service was going to be slow I asked if I could make my order to go. I waited 25 minutes for the food. What a dissapointing meal. The menu and reviews were promising but it was one of the worst take outs I've had in a while. Calamari was chewy, cold, partially wet from defrosting under the greasy batter, and poorly cooked. Yes, I know its not the best takeout choice since its best straight from the kitchen but, even allowing for that it was dreadful. Chicken in the kebabs was undercooked and also cold. My husband's food was a bit better but not much. Yes, I should have taken it back and complained but that's not how I wanted to spend the evening. First attempt at a delivery order was successful -- everything quite good and delivery on time!

On sunday 4/30 my family and i went there for lunch. We have had recommended this place to a lot people in the past. I got the chix kabob which was 3 pieces of chicken, extremely salty and overcooked green beans and boiled rice ( it taste it like the pre made stuff). The meal was terrible, i politely told the server about the salty green beans and she just said ok. This is heart breaking since i have been going to this restaurant since 2005. No love in the food, seemed like no one cared. Sorry for the bad review i hope it get better! read more

My family and I love Mediterranean Breeze. The food is wonderful and the servers are always kind and respectful. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and everything is always clean. We live in Herndon but when we want to go out to dinner it is worth the drive to go to Ashburn to enjoy the people, food and atmosphere of Mediterranean Breeze restaurant. We have enjoyed lunches and dinners, the salad and soup bar, predictably good entrees and the delicious desserts. On several occasions I have ordered trays of spanikopita and baklava for family events as they are such a favorite. If i get anywhere in the area I am tempted to just run by and get a bite to eat because I am close enough to enjoy their cuisine. They can accommodate large parties and small and do provide delicious catering. Our church used them for our 10th anniversary celebration as many of the members had visited the restaurant and been impressed. read more

Since moving to Ashburn I have been looking for a good weekend breakfast place (something like Bob and Edith's in Arlington or Virginia Kitchen in Herndon) and this is a nice substitute. I've eaten here twice and both times had poor experiences with the food. The first time I went, I had the spinach pie which made me sick afterward. I decided to give it another go and ordered the gyro platter. I'll admit, the restaurant does give good-size portions. However, the gyro was over salted and I was beyond thirsty and stuck with saltiness in my mouth for the next four hours. That was after eating only half of the meal. I was totally disappointed with this restaurant. When I first walked in with my Groupon, I could see that it irritated the waitress. She was beyond rude and insisted I couldn't use it without a 2nd person being there with me. I told her I intended to order what the Groupon stated and she insisted I wasn't allowed to even though the Groupon never stated that 2 people had to be present. She was beyond rude the entire time. Finally, after much debate she allowed me to use it but she slammed my food down and never asked if I'd like a drink refill. The table was so thick with grease that I couldn't even wipe it up. The carpet was so laden with filth as well. I've never had a bad experience in a restaurant, this is my very first. If you value your health, I'd stay away from Mediterranean Breeze.
