I had been trying to lose weight since my youngest was born 7 1/2 years ago. I have tried Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, working out 3 days a week with a personal trainer and I had very little success with all of them for one reason or another. I was frustrated and to a point of believing that nothing would work for me but starvation! The good news with trying all of these was that I knew what wouldn't work for me! I am a very active, busy women and I didn't have a lot of time to worry about food that was inconvenient to prepare as often times I am not near a microwave or didn't have fresh water readily available to me, so it was important that whatever plan I decided on allowed me the freedom to "grab n go". I also get bored with food quickly so I wanted something that had a lot of options to choose from that were quick and easy. Another thing I had determined was that I needed someone to be supportive of me and my crazy, changing life. I needed someone to help me thru every day of my week and offer suggestions on how to make it work. That person also needed to be willing to listen to me tell them why their suggestions wouldn't work and offer up more! This to me was the biggest challenge with other plans! Most people didn't care about what I had going on in my life. You had to do it their way!!! Once I did my research and determined that Medifast fit into my crazy hectic schedule meal wise, I decided to go onto the "corporate" website and order some of the foods individually to see if their food was something I could see myself eating as I did not want to invest $16 for a box of food if I wasn't going to like it. I can say that there were certainly things that I did not like! But there were a lot of things that I did! So, I gave it a try. I joined in April of 2013 with 48 lbs to lose and hit my goal weight some time in August. I could not have done this without the support of Katie and then entire team at Medifast Temecula! They all were their cheering me on every week and everyone of them truly wants to help you succeed. Katie has been my counselor for the majority of the time and has been amazing thru the whole process. I needed someone to help me learn to eat properly while still living the crazy life that I do. I am 4 months into maintaining my healthy weight and feel that Katie has been a huge part of me being able to do so. Each week we talk about what I did the week prior and she gives me tips on how to better things for the next week. We talk about what I have coming up in my next week and she offers suggestions on how to combat some of my upcoming challenges. If you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off, I highly recommend Medifast. Because of my success, 3 other ladies who have seen me change have also started Medifast. 2 have reached their goals as well! All the women at the Temecula location are amazing but I personally recommend Katie as she never once made me feel like I was an awful person when I did something wrong. I started the Medifast program over the Christmas break (I am a teacher). I knew it would be a difficult time to try to eat differently with all the holiday goodies and parties going on, but I thought anytime was a good time to start. In the first week, I didn't exactly stick to the plan, nibbled other snacks here and there and only lost two pounds. The second week I went on a 3-day vacation and decided to treat myself to whatever I wanted, but added exercise to my plan. When I weighed in my second week, I still only lost barely two pounds. I broke down to my counselor who told me she would not let me quit and encouraged me to stick with it. Determined to lose more than two little pounds, I went home and created my 7-day meal plan. I went grocery shopping for the few veggies and meats or fish I needed. I was ready to go! My start day is Sunday so I began the plan faithfully. I had a busy week after school for three of the days and did not have time to exercise. I noticed a flatter stomach and decided to try on a few pairs of pants that I haven't been able to wear in months. They all fit again! Finally, it was Saturday, my weigh in day. I thought I would drop another two pounds, but instead I lost 6.2 pounds without even exercising! There is so much I want to share about Medifast and how happy I am. I'm a male who has dealt with a weight problem all my life, my overall health was declining rapidly. After trying so many diets over the years, a year ago at age 56 I decided to try Medifast. I have been on many diets in my lifetime, but nothing works like Medifast. I have been on the Medifast program now for a year now and lost about 70 pounds (everyone's results will vary). Sure, during the holidays I put a few pounds back on but now I'm back on the right track. I was impressed initially with the outline of how the prepared food, regular check-ins and overall approach was laid out, so I thought the initial investment in going with Medifast was going to be worth it in the long run. After just a few weeks of figuring out exactly which foods I liked the most and how to best work in my other prepared meals, I was loving every aspect of this nutrition plan! I loved the food, and most of all, I LOVED the results! I hit my weight loss goal 3 months ahead of schedule and I still am staying on the plan as my energy level is at am all time high, and my heavy work travel works in fantastically using the Medifast bars and food while I'm on the go. Going to meet with the Nutritionists once a week has kept me honest, even when I slip up here and there, as I know I'll get that support to meet my new goals and I look forward to getting my new food for the upcoming week. Overall, I honestly think I"m spending LESS money on food in maintaining this eating plan and I was skeptical of that at the outset. Overall, I think this is a fantastic and effective way to lose weight and not feel like you are depriving yourself of tasty foods. I reluctantly went to a check out the Medifast Weight Control Center with my wife. We have tried every fad diet and I have had some success in the past, but was unsure I was willing to try another plan. The Temecula center was welcoming and they were all friendly. Of course, I expecting that, they were trying to sell me something. I grudgingly entered into the program mainly to support my wife in her goal of weight loss. Well almost 10 weeks later I'm 21 pounds lighter, remember and count back 10 weeks. Yes Thanksgiving, three Christmas Parties, three other parties and New Year's, AND I LOST WEIGHT! I didn't stick strictly to the plan (Imagine if I had) and still lost weight. I rarely feel hungry on the plan and Carey, my Counselor, walks me thru healthy choices prior to an event happening. Carey has been awesome, she is very perceptive and seems to have a plan for every situation I have had to come up against, need I remind you 6 Parties and Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. What can I say!?! I lost nearly 40 pounds here. Then I moved to a new town, and guess what? Yep! Igained weight, because I didn't listen to Julie and I gave myself every excuse to not make it a priority (and pretty much due to being a piglet lol). Now I am going back because it works!!! It really works!!!! and dang if I will let this happen again, I was there, at my goal wearing skinny clothes ARGHHHH the pictures of that time is inpiring, the image in the mirror is...not so much :( Now I am restricted to my old fat clothes with all my skinny clothes just staring at me and saying, "Hey man, you need to lose weight! We want out of this closet!!!!!" Julie Sams is the best, the staff is awesome but she really took good care of me and just knew how to keep me honest. I am a Registered Dental Assistant (closer to 60 than 50). I started the Medifast program in July 2012. I strictly adhered to the instructions; I did not cheat and started losing weight from the first day. I lost more weight in the first weeks than in the 3rd and 4th month of the program. By October 2012 I had lost 60 pounds! I was supposed to lose another 5-8 pounds but I stopped eating the Medifast food and started eating my own "diet food" and sometimes regular food. Although I went to the gym once or twice a week, in one year I gained back 20 pounds. Now it is January 12, 2014, my gym membership is about to expire... A week ago I went back to the Medifast program, I adhere to the instructions and during the first week I lost 3.9 pounds... I want to stay on the Program until I lose the remaining 20-21 pounds ... The Medifast Program is very effective, but you must follow the 5+1 Plan. Willpower is a must and you have to be able to prepare the "+1" (green and lean) meal. Like most people seeking help in losing weight, I tried all the usual things, Gym memberships, pills, starvation dieting etc., they all didn't work for the most part. I had been looking into Medifast for awhile but the nearest office was 35 miles away so I put it off. Then they opened up an office in Temecula and so there was no further excuses. When I joined I was assigned to Julia, she sat me down and explained what we were going to do and how we were going to accomplish my goal. Well I've dropped 50 pounds and am still working towards my goal of 80 pounds. Julia was so supportive and gave me the needed encouragement and the occasional kick in the pants that I needed when I needed it. She is the best, I owe her so much, she has become a very dear friend. All the ladies at the clinic are helpful and greet you with a smile and will do all they can to accommodate you as things arise. I have attended the Temecula Medifast Weight Center recently and have been a cusomter/client. There are many reasons I find the Medifast experience here to be exceptional. First, it is a first class facility that has the feel of a professionally conducted business with the appropriate for weight control. Next, I used to attend a center in San Diego County prior to the opening of the Temecula Center. While the product was the same, the drive was long and not always convenient. When this center opened, it was very welcome due to its proximity to my home. And finally, the staff makes the difference. They are welcoming, knowledgeable and very accomodating. The new Center manager Julia is a wonderful representative for Medifast as she works with clients on a one-on-one basis with great caring. I cannot say enough about Julia's approach to this very important part of people's lives - their heath. I spent weeks researching what would be the best weight loss program from me and after seeing what great results a friend had on Medifast I knew this was the program for me. I started just over a week ago and am already thrilled with my results. It does take determination, but the Temecula center offers such encouragement, inspiration, and most importantly (to me) accountability. I personally meet with Heather who is so knowledgeable and willing to work with each clients specific goals and challenges. The rest of the team has been great also (shout out to Julia!) when I have needed a quick question answered or suggestions on food. I will say I am pleasantly surprised at how good the pre-packaged meals are and the cookbook meals are easy to prepare. I have been on my journey to lose weight with Medifast for a year now. In that year I've lost 74 pounds despite major surgery. I highly recommend this program to those with a made up mind and hectic schedule. Personally, my eating habits were horrible and most of my calories were consumed after work. With Medifast the meals are so simple eating them on the go is a huge convenience. Their bars and shakes have become my favorites because they are easy to grab and go. Food is food and the food isn't bad. You find the Medifast meals that work for your palette. Another component is the accountability without the audience. I've been using Medifast at this center for about 10 months. In that time I have lost over 100 pounds! My counselor, Katie is a lifesaver. She knows how to keep me moving forward. When I stall, she seems to know just what I need to get my weight loss moving again. She has been nothing but supportive and I always feel motivated and positive after I meet with her. The entire staff, is warm and helpful and this center seems to understand that weight loss is about more than just losing weight. I know I would not be having the same success if I were trying the Internet program. The face to face contact keeps me focused. I have been on so many so called diet plans over the years, and in 2012 I stumbled across Medifast of Temecula. I didn't have a positive attitude when I walked in because of past failures. I was mistaken, the first week I followed the simple plan and I lost and I kept loosing. It feels great being in a size 6 again. I joined Medifast in Temecula in August 2012. I have currently lost 85 pounds and have only 20 to 25 pounds to go. When I started my Medifast journey, I was going to turn 60, I was on two high blood pressure medications, cholesterol medication and rapidly facing type 2 Diabetes. Since the weight loss, I have had my medication doses lowered, with the promise that I should be off of all of them by spring of 2014, and I am controlling my Type 2 Diabetes through diet and exercise only. Everyone at the center is so supportive and Connie, my counselor, is so encouraging, positively cheering me on every week on my weightless journey. The staff at the Medifast center in Temecula, CA is Great! They Greet me by my first name whenever I have an appointment. They are friendly and happy to help! The Program itself works really well, if you stay on plan! No cheating! I have been on the my Medifast plan for about 8 weeks now, and I have already lost 15 pounds! I have been on one diet or another my whole life. Almost two years ago I joined Metafast. I was able, with their support, to lose and keep off my weight. Over the holidays I put back on a bit of weight. Luckily my counselor, Katy Foster, is here for me again. No judgement, just good, solid advice and support. The plan is easy and the food tasty. They helped me to better understand how to keep my body nourished and healthy even after the diet was over. I am almost back to my goal weight again. Medifast is a great way to lose weight. This is especially true if you're like me and struggle with self control when it comes to food. The simple plan takes all the guess work out. No counting calories or anything like that. don't get me wrong, it still takes a lot of effort and determination. but most things worth doing do. I have lost 53 ponds in 3 1/2 months. Only about 15 to go. my counselor Katie at the Temecula center has been great. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! not only is this program easy to follow and maintain, but my counselor, Miss Katie, has been there every step of the way, giving me encouragement as I made my way to my goal. The day I made my goal, she repeatedly told me that she was proud of me, and that there was nothing that I couldn't do. The Temecula Medifast Center has been the answer to a lifelong struggle. I have tried everything and most of the time was successful but always put the weight back on. The accountability and support that I received from my counselor and the entire staff pushed me when I needed to be pushed and was simply there for me. I am happy to say that I am 58lbs down and its only been a little over 5 months. The meal replacements keep me full and allow me to lose fat instead of just weight, like other programs I've tried.
