I've been w/Medex pharmacy for 6yrs,I never had issues til today. Brought my new insurance for 2026 Scan, to Emad an he said not a problem !! However it was a problem, bcuz he is not part of the insurance plan after confirming i was little surprised my bill was $466 for my prescriptions. So I had to make a hard decision to go to Costco where my copays are 0.. so I went into pick up 2 last prescriptions I was told by Marcelo that if Costco won't fill i can't CAN NOT return to MedEx.that's horrible! If my stuff was covered i wouldn't be doing this. I've brought soooooo much money an business to Emad only to be treated horrible when I left.!!​ Emad said he would have no problem with my new insurance..before I left Marcelo said he wouldn't transfer on Monday although Costco called an faxed friday Jan 23 Costco did request for my transfer yet MedEx said they never received anything . MedEX Pharmacy in Hanford, Ca are the BEST in town. I've had a few different pharmacy's in town but they were always so careless about helping their patients. MedEx is always on point with filling and ordering anything that is needed for me and my family. They are so helpful and caring for our needs. Pharmacy Techs and Pharmacists always strive to make sure their patients needs ALWAYS come first. Specially Emad the pharmacist, he trains all his Pharmacy Staff to be knowledgeable and caring about everything thats needed to help have their patients prescriptions filled on time. If anything goes wrong (which is VERY rare!!!!) he will do anything in his power to make it right. I wish more pharmacies would strive to be like them. Love your delivery.. not to sure on auto fills... most times , do not need. Then after hearing that my thyroid medication was out on delivery two days in a row well still haven't received it by Saturday morning so I called. Yes I had to get dressed and go down there and pick it up myself because I was totally out. I was none too happy. Why do they pick a life-saving drug like my thyroid, my blood thinner and my high blood pressure pills are very much a must with me!! SO not to happy!! read more

Ok so I wrote a review in March of 2020, thanking Amed and his staff for the outstanding treatment and individual service I receive every time I got to the Pharmacy! This treatment continues and the pharmacy techs and Thelma one of the new pharmacists have treated me like family and go out of their way to correct any issues have Immediately. The pharmacist basically treats me better than any pharmacy I have ever used. I want to again say Thank you to all the staff. To show the difference, this past two months my wife has two surgeries and she had to have several prescriptions filled, she uses Walgreens. The difference in the big pharmacy vs Med Ex is totally different. Walgreens is impossible to talk to anybody via phone that can help, when a prescription for pain meds was changed due to my wife having a reaction, I was denied the prescription as she had already received a pain med. I tried to explain and was ignored. They then told to wait as they were busy. It took them several hours to approve the Doctors prescription and had to wait in 7 car line to get the meds. I don't expect perfection from anyone, what I do expect is an attempt at it. Med Ex constantly exceed this expectation and it is refreshing that when I go in the staff call me by name. Nebulizers are common devices that turn liquid into vapor and can be purchased (even online) without a prescription, as easily as a humidifier. Whenever possible, I like to support local businesses so I went to purchase a nebulizer from MedEx Pharmacy in Hanford. A manager informed me that a group of California's many unelected bureaucrats had recently decided that nebulizers should now require a doctor's prescription to "legally" purchase. I attempted to explain a very common 2021 misinterpretation that the "mandates" or "rules" created by unelected bureaucrats (who are subject to bribery, special interest, and other forms of enticement) do not constitute actual LAW. Unfortunately, the manager refused to accept reality and I ended up leaving to purchase a nebulizer from another Hanford pharmacy. If you're shopping for anything that Big Pharma or any of California's agenda-driven bureaucracies want to make it harder for us "normal people" to purchase,I would skip MedEx Pharmacy. read more

Called yesterday to see if my script was ready. Yep, no problem. Except I don't have insurance. Yes, I do. So I called my insurance, they called the pharmacy and fixed it. So here I am, waiting 30 minutes so far. It:s not ready. They don't have to make it, just pull it off the shelf, stick it in a bag and then give it to me. At least the loud television is gone. These guys are the worst of all pharmacies in town~~and the others are pretty awful. read more

I have been a customer at Express Pharmacy since they first opened and Hanford although the business is growing they still treat me like there's still a small pharmacy. The girls and guys in here know me by name and the pharmacist is always available to answer questions. Pearl has always returned my calls and answered my questions with a smile. There have been mix ups with my insurance and they always work together to get it resolved. I definitely appreciate their delivery service. I work at the same time the pharmacy is open and I was able to have my medication dropped off at my doorstep without having to send someone else to the pharmacy for me. What a frustrating experience, and I still don't have my prescriptions because THEY LOST IT. I took 2 prescriptions in to be filled. They could not fill them because they required a compound pharmacy but they said no problem, they send them to Fresno and they get them back in about 2 weeks. So they had me write all my info on the back of the prescription and said they'd contact me when it came in. Fast forward to today. It's been well over 2 weeks so I called to see what was going on. First she hung up on me as soon as I asked which was my tipoff something was wrong. So I called back. We weren't in their system she said. Then the story changed to they faxed it but they don't get them back they just "graciously" faxed them for me. Well, then why did you take my contact info and twice say you'd call me when it came in....?! She told me I have to call the pharmacy in Fresno or my doctor. At this point I knew it never was faxed and the prescription was lost and they were just trying to get me to go away, she would say something then say "okaaaay byeeee" after every lie she tried to feed me. So I called the medical dental Fresno pharmacy and of course it had never been sent in. They were super nice and sympathetic that there was a problem. Express had me wait literally weeks and I have no meds for my child. They lost it, they lied, and were rude and unhelpful. Never ever again. What a disaster. read more

I have had the opportunity to revisit Express pharmacy a few times since my last review. I can say that I have noticed significant improvements in the staff's attentiveness and effective intervention to the customer's needs. The lack of a sincere smile and eye contact was never an issue or problem. Phone calls and hold time have also improved to a degree. The Pharmacist, Ahmed, remains diligent at his job, keeping this Pharmacy above average, and focusing on fulfilling customer/ patient needs. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME BACK!! Went in as a new customer to get some Rx filled out. Took a little bit more than the 15 minutes the clerk told me as waiting time. Not so many chairs and the place is small to go browsing around to kill time. Ended up sitting in front of a TV with the volume loud for a small customer space. Was called to pick-up and pay only to find out when I was in my vehicle that I was missing a medication. I had to go back in and was asked to wait a few minutes after they figured out what was missing. It was quickly fixed..so kudos (extra star)!! Can be frustrating to find out that there was no process in place to double check if all the ordered Rx were completed and in the bag for the customer..and there were a number of pharmacy techs in there. And the $5 dollar promo discount for a new customers was not validated. Service was good otherwise, friendly clerks. BUT GO TO WALMART OR KMART or other bigger store INSTEAD AND USE THE IDLE TIME TO BROWSE AROUND THE MERCHANDISE... Well since its obvious that the person that takes our perscriptions here. Does as she pleases with no worries! Ive had to take my buisiness to costco where they treat every customer equal! This person lied to me about needing a pre approval from my dr about my meds and called my insurance causing more drama. Made me wait around for 2hrs for her enjoyment. Because of a prior complaint i filed. Then when i asked for my perscription back she looked thru pile and gave me a folded prescription which i assumed was mine? Well her humiliation of me was far from over! I took it to a different pharmacy just to discover it was a different persons perscription! I had no vehicle so had to call her to explain the error she laughed and sent someone to mine & other patient script! So with buisiness practices like that ive decided to stay away!
