Tried out Meddy's for the first time. The positives: very fresh food, excellent quality of fresh ingredients and very good hummus. Clean restaurant and modern decor, menu is clear about choices of food items for people with food limitations. The teen that took our order was friendly and our food came out quickly. It has a variety of indoor and outdoor seating including overhead heaters on the patio. Cons: it's an upscale fast food restaurant in my estimation. Ordering at the counter with a number given and a teen brings the food out. There is a cocktail bar which seems kind of out of place in this setting. A teen server would occasionally come by and get some plates that were finished. So the service is more of an upgrade than a fast food but not like you have a specific server to request any needs. The rest of the service was okay. I have Celiac so there were some GF items but I thought there would be more main items that were GF. The side Mediterranean salad was fresh and lots of veggies but no flavor to the dressing at all. read more

I am very picky about my reviews. This was my first time at Meddys as I am in town on business. Wow is all I can say. High-end restaurant food at an affordable price in a relaxed yet upscale quick-service atmosphere. The flavor of the food is truly out of this world, I now see why every location has nearly a full five stars. The server Barbara at this location sealed the deal in making this a five star review. If you are like me and had never been to Meddys before, do yourself a favor: go find out what you've been missing. I had the Meddys Main Plate with chicken and lamb, suggested by Barbara. It was a huge serving of deliciousness. I eat a lot of food and am rarely satisfied with portion sizes; this was a non-issue here. And it was incredible. I can't say enough how picky I am about my food reviews; this was off the charts good and so fresh and healthy. It tasted like taking a bite of a Mediterranean garden with so many flavors of veggies and herbs and meats. The dining area is beautiful with very comfortable seating. The entire restaurant felt very upscale and clean, even the bathrooms. What really made my experience was the server, Barbara. She went out of her way to go above and beyond. As it was my first time here, she came around the counter to explain the entire menu to me. She suggested I do half and half of the proteins so I could try two different kinds of meats with the plate, which I loved. Throughout my meal she was consistently checking on me, clearing used dishes and napkins from my table, and even bringing me refills of my drink without me asking. I had stopped at the pizza place across the street, but due to the customer service received a planted me @ Meddys. I am so full and it's been about two hours since I've eaten. The garlic chicken plate was delicious, especially with the garlic spread that comes with it, nothing less of amazing. Even dipping my potatoes into the garlic bread was top notch. Complementary pita bread is given to you at the table, you can get a mix of chips and pita bread for the hummus to dip. I am more of a pita bread guy, I don't know how I felt about the crunch and hummus together, but nevertheless, it was still great. The customer service there was great, body language, attention to detail, coming to our tables to make sure everything was all right, thank you to Stoney. I wasn't sure what to expect when I visited Meddys. I knew it was fast food, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a hybrid. There was a bull bar with an amazing bartender, Barbara. It was super cute, and felt more like a nice, sit-down bar & grill than fast food. The food was AMAZING! I can't get over how wonderful the pita bread was. I met a friend there, and she was having an espresso martini, so I asked for a chocolate martini to join her. With a little help from the manager, I had an amazing Five Farms chocolate martini to go with my food. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go back!! Nicely done! read more

I stopped to get food on the way home (to go) for the first time. Whenever I go somewhere with falafel, I always get it. I ordered the stacked hummus with falafel. The hummus is excellent. I quite enjoyed the pita bread. The pita chips weren't my favorite. I enjoyed all of the squash on top of the hummus. Unfortunately, I didn't really like the falafel. It was a little burnt and had too many herbs in it so tasted kind of like fried grass instead of like chick peas. I'll go back sometime if I'm in the area, just won't get the falafel next time. Having been to the Meddys in Prairie Village a couple of times (see my Yelp review for that location, too!), we were SUPER excited to have a new location open up a little closer to our side of town in Olathe/Lenexa! We visited this location for my birthday, and it picked up right where the PV location left off, which was quite lofty with the wonderful food and customer experience marks! This location is super nice - very attractive, and even stands out among a new, suburban shopping/dining outpost along the growing 87th Street corridor off I-435. It's a level or two above your average fast-casual dining! As it was nicer than your after July afternoon, we chose to sit outside on the attractive patio! Our family of four all ordered different items and shared bites among all, and everyone enjoyed EVERYTHING we had! At a time when service and customer experiences is on its way out in the name of cutting costs and the onset of AI, Meddys is sprinting the OTHER direction! A team of wonderful folks were constantly coming by to offer additional bread, refills, cleaning off dishes, offering to-go boxes, and more! Today my kid threw a fit because I forgot to ask for the fries without seasoning, and they brought some with minimal seasoning and they appeased him. $1.99 kids meals are great especially because my kids never really end up eating no matter what I do so it's not a big deal when it's that cheap.
