I came in by ambulance because of an acute attack of diverticulitis by ambulance. No rooms were available so I was placed on a very comfortable gurney in the hall. The entrance is about 100/150 feet away and today it is 53 degrees. Whenever that door opens a rush of very cold air comes in and adds to an already cold hallway. If they need to put people in the hall don't do it on the entrance path. I was in the hallway approximately 3 hours but my nurse made sure I had a blanket. The CAT scan tech was great too. My suggestion is add on more rooms this is Florida where we old people go to die but not by pneumonia.

My barely 25‑year‑old daughter, Taylor, died after what multiple independent physicians and an…read moreautopsy have confirmed was reckless medical negligence and neglect in an HCA Florida Hospital where she was taken after being rear‑ended at a red light. Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue. If you or your loved ones rely on HCA Healthcare in Florida, please take time to learn how this system really works and how families can protect themselves. During a very frightening time, the doctors, nurses, and support staff went above and beyond to ensure he was not only treated medically but also felt seen and heard. Their professionalism, combined with a genuine sense of empathy, made a world of difference in his recovery. The team in the ER, specially RN Jackie, Maria and doctor Paul, are truly outstanding. Thank you for your tireless dedication and for treating my father with such dignity and kindness."

Dr. Donovan operated on my wrist here, at Trinity Medical Arts Building, in the early morning hours. This is an exceptional facility, with caring staff who know what they are doing. From paperwork, to gown, to survey (I was not awake when Dr. Donovan put a titanium plate and 9 pins in my right wrist), I was treated with compassion and professionalism. When I was awake and coherent, I felt much better. I was in and out in record time. Kudos who helped me prepare for surgery, who assisted Dr. Donovan during surgery, and helped me after surgery so I could return home in record time. I was also impressed when a nurse called me later in the day to inquire about my recovery. My diagnosis, this surgery, and my follow ups with Dr. Donovan were wonderful, and I highly recommend him and this facility!

When the doctor came to get my husband from the waiting room, he called his name and immediately turned and walked away without greeting us. There was no introduction or effort to create rapport. During the visit, he avoided eye contact when we asked questions and did not offer explanations when we raised reasonable concerns. His blood pressure was taken on his forearm, which we found unusual. When we mentioned that his reading had been significantly higher at another appointment earlier that same morning, the response was simply, "Oh," with no clarification or discussion. We also requested a referral for a mental health provider who could offer both counseling and medication management. The doctor stated he prefers to refer patients to a psychologist for therapy and then manage medication himself. When we asked about the possibility of seeing one provider for both services, he responded with comments about psychiatrists "overmedicating" patients, including an example of patients "drooling on themselves." The tone felt dismissive and defensive rather than informative. He emphasized that he has been practicing for 30 years and that this is how he does things. The overall visit lasted about 15 minutes. At checkout, the front desk interaction was similarly curt and unwelcoming. This was my husband's first experience establishing care with a primary care physician as an adult, and unfortunately it did not feel collaborative or patient-centered. We value clear communication and mutual respect in healthcare, and based on this experience, we have decided to seek care elsewhere.
