Dr. Brittaney Sargent is managing my pelvic floor physical therapy, an approach my primary care…read moredoctor recommended for my health condition. Dr. Sargent is among the finest and most personable doctors that's treated me. I decided to find a new physical therapist. I found Dr. Sargent's pelvic floor physical therapy practice online and was impressed with her credentials. Dr. Sargent and I exchanged several emails and then we spoke by telephone. She understood why someone would be apprehensive about having pelvic floor therapy. It's an awkward topic; one that can conjure discomforting thoughts. And yet, Dr. Sargent made the topic easy to discuss. I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Sargent to talk about my long-standing condition in depth. Beforehand, I provided her with extensive background information. She had read the information before the initial consultation, and she was prepared to discuss specifics. Dr. Sargent listened well and then clearly described her evaluation methods and treatment procedures. She performed an initial assessment during the appointment and then laid out a tentative treatment plan. Her objective was to improve my health in as few physical therapy sessions as possible (Refreshingly, she didn't seek to maximize the number of sessions based on insurance allowances). Dr. Sargent distinctively designed her office to be comfortable and accommodating of a patient's privacy. She thoughtfully stages her appointments so there are few other patients (often, no other patients) waiting at the reception area. The space is quiet, calming, and clean. Dr. Sargent is completely committed to my treatment during our sessions. She gives me her undivided attention during the entire session. I've never experienced an interruption during an appointment. And she makes my sessions easy because she is very personable and down-to-earth. Dr. Sargent's treatment plan for me includes a bowel diary (to track food and fluid intake and other information), realistic dietary adjustments, daily stretching, breathing methods, biofeedback (for which she has advanced specialty credentials), manual pelvic floor manipulations, and abdominal massage. Dr. Sargent has been treating me for a few weeks, adjusting treatment as we go. She is very knowledgeable about the pelvic floor and related conditions, and exceptionally skilled at physical therapy. Her advice is informative and instructive. Under Dr. Sargent's treatment, I'm having significant improvement with my health in a short period. I'm very comfortable with Dr. Sargent and I trust her with my treatment. Dr. Sargent can treat a spectrum of health complications (see bloompelvictherapy.com) and she has many treatment techniques to include in a comprehensive treatment plan to return to health. Obviously, I'm only one patient, but I strongly suspect that I'm not distinctive in my experience with Dr. Sargent.

5.0 star rating 3/29/2018 In 1999, I was working on a job…read moreand fell off a ladder and broke my wrist. By 2002, I had had 8 surgeries on the nerves in my arm and the surgeon said there was nothing more he could do and he released me. I was still in a lot of pain and had been diagnosed with RSD, Reflex Sympathetic Distrophy a form of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) a chronic condition characterized by severe burning pain. The pain was so severe, the doctors put me on oxycontin and recommended a pain specialist, Dr. Herson. Dr. Herson observed that I had developed this chronic disease and placed me on pain management. The first thing he did was wean me off oxycontin, he said it was a very addictive drug and he wanted me off of it - he probably saved me from becoming an addict. I've gone to him for years and he really cares about his patients and he stays up to date on any and all medical developments that might help his patients. He tries his best to restore you to a normal life...he's just not in it for just the buck, he really enjoys finding the best treatment for his patients. As for any negative reviews about him, you have to remember that some people seek out pain doctors for drugs...that's why we have such a huge drug problem in the U.S. right now. Don't go to Dr. Herson if that's what you're after - you won't find it here. I have been a patient of Dr. Herson's for 16 years and he has helped me tremendously - not by upping my meds but actually reducing them and managing a program that will help you not hurt you more. This is a family practice, he's wife and mother help him run his business and when you're there, they make you feel comfortable and cared for. It's a shame that pain doctors get a bad rap, especially when this one really tries his best to do good for his patients. Like I said, if you want drugs, this is not the doctor to see, if you want relief for pain, he is an honest good doctor that really cares.

I would not recommend Dr. Herson. Once upon a time I saw him for a TESI (no worries, he doesn't…read moreseem to know what that is either). He fired me as a patient, probably the best thing he did for me.

His skill level as a surgeon is beyond excellent and his care for the patient is second to none. The entire staff at the office are professional, caring and friendly.
