Pizza was amazing and they were incredibly accommodating about any substitutions. "If you can't decide, then we can do whatever you want!" Brian, the bartender was super friendly and happy to make some great recommendations about things to see while we are in town. Beer selection was very good and they have a great liquor selection too. Beautiful view of the harbor while you are chilling to great music with the sports in a nice sized tv. We stumbled on this place and really glad we did. We made an unplanned stop in Sitka on our cruise as Skagway was cancelled. We did an early tour and needed lunch. Pizza sounded good. Sat at the bar and ordered a basic pepperoni and pineapple pizza. We also ordered fried pickles. Both were excellent. The pizza was phenomenal and not too pricey. read more

Had a nice breakfast here in quaint sitka. The location is great. Overlooks the harbor and water so the view is great, even when it's damp. Great food and great hospitality! We are always on a quest for perfectly fried chicken wings and MQ did not disappoint. The staff and owner made us feel right at home. In fact, we stopped by twice during our day trip to Sitka, first for fresh oysters (also a must-have), and then for early dinner and another delicious Alaska IPA. If we didn't live all the way in Florida, this would be a regular stop during our week. read more

Along with the Bayview Pub, Mean Queen was a regular haunt for us while we did the Juneau-Sitka, Sitka-Juneau run this past summer. Originally just stopped in because a friend of ours plays there occasionally and we wanted to see what it was about. There were no tables available (good sign!) so we stopped at the bar for a beer and wine. They had a good beer selection but nothing really in the amber/porter space that my husband likes, but he found something workable. We decided to try their wings, and I have to say they were good for "traditional" buffalo-style wings. I think this place is better for pizza -- they have a wide variety of eclectic options, but you can always "build your own" as well. We shared a pizza and a Caesar salad for lunch and I have to admit, I wasn't impressed by the salad. It really did not have much flavor -- mostly lettuce. The thin crust on the pizza is good, but I almost thought it was TOO thin. Would have liked an option of a slightly thicker crust. Overall, when you consider what your options are in Sitka, this is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. I would go again...I wish I could do 3 1/2 stars because that's where I would place this rating. read more

Great service from Bartender Brian. Asked for a specific game to be turned on and they checked every channel he had to find it. He was working a full room and always checking in on if we needed anything. Love the drink specials and beer on tap for $3. Pizza was thin crust and house made blue cheese dressing was fantastic. Especially was a fan of the wings, they had some new fun flavors. We tried the Lebanese garlic wings which were incredible! Will come back every time we are in town read more

Pizza was Absolutely Average! I Love thin crust pizza and it's exactly what they have thought it was a match. Average is not bad don't get me wrong it's definitely edible, but I LOVE pizza, I just have no love for this one. Also ordered some buffalo wings. These wings must have come from the tiniest buffalo in America , could barely get any meat off of this tiny overcooked chicken wing. I ate 1, thought I bit off a piece of bone but it was the superfried skin, just terrible. Service was excellent, was gonna rate a 2 based on the food but had to give an extra star for the poor staff that has to serve this to people. read more

Is it ok to review a place if you only had one drink? We tried finding this place for lunch. Somewhere it listed Lincoln Street as the location. We gave up. But the next day we went for happy hour. Granted we are relative lightweights. But my wife was lit after one margarita. read more

It has a cool family friendly bar vibe and it was the best pizza we had on our trip and we had quite a bit of pizza. You can tell this is a locals spot and not just for tourist. The bus staff were trying and that is very much appreciated. Very nice and kept trying to get our waitress to come and take our order. Unfortunately, we were seated in an area where the waitress was more interested in visiting with a friend and socializing. Solid pizza, salad & wings. Six of us ate here after a three day fishing trip. Staff was very accommodating and service was great. Drinks came EXTREEMLY quickly, never a hesitation for a drink I ordered. The pizza more than solid & I enjoyed the small/thin pizza. It was truly delicious. I read the reviews first, and decided to go see for myself. The prices are indeed high ($9 for a half salad, though the half salad was HUGE) and $15 for a cheese pizza, $14 for wings. The beer ($4.75) was a relative bargain. By the way, that is pretty much the entire menu: salads, pizzas, and 2 types of wings. Period. However, there was a lunch special today, a slice of one of two types of pizza for $5, a slice and a half salad for $10. The slice was tasty, even though it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The Greek salad came already slathered with an extremely vinegar-heavy dressing, and while the olives and feta were generous, it was difficult to eat due to the acid content. I ended up taking half or more of it with me. As for service, it was nonchalant at best, though friendly. The noise level was just fine for a sports bar, and the views are indeed great. read more

The good: Pizza is above average. The alcohol is cheap. Lunch specials are reasonably priced. Salads are good. - The bad: An entire ~$27 pizza fed me but might not have fed two comfortably, think it was the medium, can't remember. Not a hugely diversified menu. The ambiance was kinda busted with the smell of Pinesol on the way up the stairs. At least they're keeping it clean. Caesar salad said shaved Parm, but that was a shredder blade used; plenty of Parm! Shaved is shaved large shredder is shredded. That's okay though, certainly not a show stopper. The single malt rocks was very well poured. Not sure if the tip was included. The half salad was Plenty for one; maybe two! Instead of croutons, seasoned pizza crust wedges. Nice touch. "Zero" evidence of anchovy in the dressing. They get an "A" for doing their own dressing. Worth the price! Woulda been enough for my dinner but I got a pizza too. A Margherita or so I thought. Lack of culinary training creates experiences like these, I think. I don't want to be rude and ask to see their fresh Mozzarella. It was imperceptible on the crust. Oh! They got it! Shaved Mozzarella! They must've shaved the Mozz instead of the Parm! Oh well. The tomatoes were cherry Tomatoes cut in half. The basil chiffonade, however, was perfect. These seasonal places lose so much to the tourist-trap/Cruise-Ship economies, it's really the best one can expect in these remote places. Definitely a good place to go for pizza. Stick to the combo though! The crust is perfect! I'll give 'em four stars for creating something like this in Alaska. I've spent a little time in AK and fresh veggies are hard to come by at times. There seems to be a core if individuals who really care and then there's the seasonal help. What did I expect? .......the diamond in the rough. This one is CZ for sure. Good food at a moderate price.
