Came to this brewery as we ventured to the Post Office next door to ship some stuff home [yeah, we're not half way to our destination on our cruise and we already have to ship stuff home :( The you lady that was serving our beer was super nice and polite. Since I like ambers she recommended Skiff Life and it did not disappoint. Very good. My wife had mentioned before coming here that she wanted popcorn. It's one of her things and when I saw the popcorn machine I asked if they would be making some. In minutes it was running and a good them for them because I saw many other customers buy a bag too. Place is big and there are clean bathrooms available so I could definitely see why locals would want to spend time here.
Excellent brewery. I feel like we're so lucky to have this quality brewery in our small town. They have a nice setting that's good for adults and kids. They rotate beers a lot too so every time I come it seems like there's something new for me to try. They're very restricted on the things they can provide for entertainment so there's no TV or live music but there's lots of spots to fit any sized group. This is the go to spot for CG going away celebrations.
First time here. Kind of just found this spot while exploring Sitka and going on a random adventure through the forest. My friends and I just ordered a drink. The beer was good. I got the "first time here", someone got the totally pitted hazy IPA and I can't remember what the names of the other ones we tried. All were good. Service was quick and the cashier was nice. If you are looking for a nice little local brewery, I would definitely recommend this place.
This brewery and I really got off on the wrong foot. I first had their beer at Tent City Taphouse in Anchorage. It was my birthday. (late March 2021) The beer was a Berliner Weiss simply called "Berliner Weiss". To this day, it is one of the worst beers I've ever had...and I'm pretty easy to please. The beer had a heavy, phenolic off-flavor component to it that dominated any of the sourness or delicate wheat of the Berliner Weiss. It tasted like: how a bandaid smells, like off-gassing plastic scent from a cheap Chinese good you bought off of Wish. It tasted like what I imagine dishwater tastes like. It had medicinal, chloraseptic notes. I told Tent City and the server acted like that's how it was supposed to taste. I say all this backstory so what I'm about to say will be more impactful: this is easily in my top 5 breweries in the state now! They do a little bit of everything from sours, to lagers (yes!), to various takes on IPA, to low abv session beers, to dark and roasty ales. And they do everything well, really well! If you can't find a beer you love here, that's on YOU. I even brought up the Berliner Weiss to the guy working the taps and, even though he wasn't working about the brewery at the time, he tried to troubleshoot it with me. I came to the conclusion that it was probably still on the brewery. Either the whole batch was contaminated, or the keg they sent to Tent City was contaminated. Why? The taps at Tent City were brand new, and no other beer that had on tap tasted like this. Anyway, over the course of 12 days in Sitka I sampled every beer on tap, and there wasn't a brew in the bunch that I wouldn't consider outstanding! (the Czech lager might be my favorite) My only complaint is that I wish more places in town had their beer on tap. The only place I found that had it was BEAK. Most places have Alaskan Brewing on tap. Alaskan makes far inferior beer to Harbor. It's all so safe, mediocre, and same-y and...it's often a big oxidized/stale. Not the case with Harbor! Beers are unique, bold, bright, and beautiful! This is my #1 pick for places to visit in Sitka (after the beautiful hiking trails, of course), make sure you try the excellent wood fired pizza too. It's easily the best pizza in town but it's damn expensive. (after eating other pizza in town though...pizza just seems to be expensive in Sitka, for whatever reason)
Great spot! If you're a beer lover passing through Sitka then this is a must stop. I don't know if it's the water or if it's the dedication of the master brewer but everything was good. I really liked the Beach Comber and the Skiff Life but everything was worth ordering again. Pizza was good, we had the crust and olives (which was very clever and will def order again) and the tomato which was solid. Everyone was super nice and the setting was very relaxed and cool. Go!
Delicious beer and friendly staff. We came to Sitka as part of our Alaskan cruise. While in town one of the shop owners suggest coming to this brewery for the beer and the pizza. So many different types of beer. Something for everyone. Some non alcoholic options as well. We got 2 flights and also got some pizza from the attached Campfire pizza place (also delicious and worth trying). The people here are helpful and passionate about brewing. Great place worth the walk through the national park to check out.
This is the continuation of my sitka, Alaska Campfire pizza place, which resides inside of this brewery. First, the bartender was super nice, and u can sample any beer before you purchase it. We got two flights with six different selections, and they were all solid, everything from IPAs, to Stouts, Ales, etc...and the atmosphere is very relaxed. They've got a record collection they let me dig through yo pick the music haha and the beer goes great with the pizza. I know I've been tough on sitka restaurants, but if they're good...credit where credit is due!!

Great place to relax and enjoy a cold beverage after a day of fishing, sight seeing hiking any anything else that brings you to Sitka. It's a bit off the beaten bath, but definitely walkable from downtown - maybe 20 minutes or so? It's a bit hidden from the main road and behind a gas station. You will find plenty of parking and there is even a pizza place within the building itself. Folks are friendly and hubby enjoyed their beer. read more
Harbor Mountain Brewing is an Alaskan brewery I was fortunate to try out a while back. Knocking out Alaska breweries is fun as I enjoy the challenge in trying to reach some of them as they can be very remote andI feel like I earned just a few extra bonus points for bragging rights by going to some of these. I feel like Harbor Mountain is one of these and the beer I had didn't disappoint at all. What I had was the Fresh Hop Grisette which was really good! I don't come across Grisettes too terribly often but when I do I always enjoy them. Flavor highlights with this beer are wheat, citrus, honey, bready and grainy. A very pleasantly fun complexity with this beer which should I ever make it out this far again, try out more of their beer options. read more
This place has a great vibe and tons of seating. The beer menu is small, but very good. They don't serve any food, but it's nice that there's a pizza place connected. (Pizza is closed 3-4PM) I will definitely return on my next visit to Sitka. The walk from downtown through the forest is a lot of fun. I'm a big beer gal, so you know I had to buy a t-shirt. read more
The beer was really good and the pizza you can also order is awesome. It got really busy right when we got there but we still found a nice spot to sit once we got our flight. It's a nice walk from the cruise terminals if you like to walk. read more

Our first visit to Sitka, and we like to search out local breweries. This is a quaint location, and the beer and fired pizza were great. If we're up this way again, we'll definitely stop in again. read more

Great pizza #amaysingfishingclub just got here a second great pizza rebuilding most outdoor wooden patio 11 craft beers on the tab. The weather is nice wait for some pizza. Take some pictures. read more

Great vibe, friendly service, and excellent beer selection. Plus tastings, if you can't decide! There's space inside to drink and relax, a large outdoor patio area with seating, and - if you're hungry - you can walk up to the attached pizza restaurant and order some wood-fired pie. read more

The flights of beer were solid, the weather was great and you could sit outside. Quite a walk from downtown but I made for a nice walk through the park. The staff was helpful for finding out tastes. read more

Apparently they think pizza should be burnt. But, great beer! I do not recommend! Go elsewhere if you are hungry. Do they waste your hard earned money. read more

Yes, yes & (in case you're not sure, YES!!). Had their specialty pizza and had their flight of beer! The food & drinks are separate, but the atmosphere is electric. Small place, so get there early as tables are quickly occupied. I'm told they have weekend brunch starting at 11 am. That's my next goal to achieve!!! read more
