Pizza Oven decked out for the Holidays

Pizza & the Cinnamon Rolls were delicious! We ordered 3 diff pizza for the table (the last 3 on the menu) and the crust was perfect, crisp in the right spots and tender & chewy in the others. The ambience is super cute. That's THE MOST beautiful wood-burning pizza oven I've ever seen! The staff were patient with our indecision and super friendly. The only reason(s) it's not 5 stars, is as follows: 1- no beer/wine on site as they don't (yet) have that license. We were told by the staff as well as signs posted in house that they have a "friendly agreement with the Moose Lodge next door. Let them know you're waiting on your pizza and have a drink there while you wait." Sounds simple enough but when we got to the Lodge, we were told we could only be served if a Member was willing to sign us in & we had to pay cash. I understand how and why private clubs work- but maybe communicate the process better to the pizza patrons Or- fix the agreement issues?? 2- the address is listed wrong as they have moved into downtown (right next to the theatre) but that might be more a YELP problem than Campfire- not sure. What I do know is if we had walked to the old location in that pouring rain, just to find out we had literally been standing right behind it- it would've been a big . Luckily my wonderful friend had loaned us a car that day. 3- you have to stick to the script. You can add toppings (for a fee) but you can not order 1/2 one type and the other 1/2 another type. I get it- especially as busy as they get- just love the option of 1/2 & 1/2 for the ADHD flare ups.

This place is inside of Harbor Mountain Brewery. They have excellent pizzas and we really like their beets appetizer. The kind of pizzas they have rotates so any menu you see is probably out of date but that never stops us from going because we know the pizza is going to be good. They also have good Gelato. My kids can be very picky but the staff and owners are always willing to make us a pizza that's just crust! It sounds funny but my kids love it and it's quite good. That's actually an excellent example of how good their pizzas are that even when we get just a crust pizza with nothing at all on it, no cheese or sauce, my kids scarf it down and my wife and I usually split a piece. You won't be disappointed by the quality here at all.

We waited 50 minutes for our pizza and this is what the waiter brought to us. Luckily I had time to drink enough beer and get full so that I didn't have to ingest the carcinogenic crust!

The pizza is fantastic, it's very tiny though

The pies are mouth-watering but the prices are eye-watering. I wanted to give this place 5-stars, so-so bad, but I just can't with these sorts of prices. Expect to easily pay $18-24 for a personal-sized pizza (there are some pizzas for around $12 but they have almost nothing on them). This is nearing double the price of Moose's Tooth. Now, don't get me wrong, this place is in no way trying to be Moose's Tooth. The pizza year is more of a Neopolitan (read: charred, minimal sauce, sparse toppings, tasty crust) take on pizza, with the strategic augmentation of some American-style toppings. if that's good or bad probably depends on your subjective tastes, but I dig it! It's similar in style to Hearth in Anchorage, but I would argue that the pies here are even better! To add insult to injury, they are delivered in these enormous boxes but...when you open up the package, just an itty bitty gift inside. The staff is super-friendly, and you can't beat their location inside of an Amazing brewery, I just wish everything was $3 cheaper.

During our cruise to Alaska, Campfire Kitchen came highly recommended by a local merchant. So we made plans to take in the sites, a short hike and end with a great lunch. Well this wasn't the case, Campfire Kitchen was a huge disappointment. First know that the bar ( Harbor Mountain Brewing Co. and Campfire kitchen are two different businesses that share the restaurant space, which means, you have to get in two different lines to get your food AND your drinks. When our pizza was finally ready ( close to an hour) I went to the bar to ask for some plates, the bar tender said very uncaringly " I don't have any plates, you might want to try them" as she nodded to the Pizza owner. When I asked the pizza owner for plates, he said we don't have plates, but you can use these pizza cooking pans". What? Why wouldn't you at least have paper plates or paper towels or something to put your food on? The pizza was just ok and the service was terrible. There is a sign on the wall that says " We love it when you bus your own table". This is why I don't like to tip when I pay for the food and service before I get it. Not worth the wait or the service!

Really amazing wood-fired pizza. The menu includes both traditional pizzas (margarita, pepperoni etc) and some very unique flavor combinations. Crust, sauce, and toppings were very on point. We ordered from their counter inside the Harbor Mountain Brewing company. Even if you're not a beer person, HMBC has root beer and a NA spritzer option. Order some and enjoy it with your excellent pizza!

This place is inside of a brewery in sitka, alaska...and their pizza is terrific!! We ordered the "super baby" pizza and added chili's. The sauce ratio was perfect, nice thin crust, with a really good outer crust, and unlike most pizza places, they KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY USE PEPPERONI!! You can see then curled up in the picture, that is how pepperoni should look!! Further more, the staff was awesome, great customer service, and being a one room production on the inside of a brewery, is genius for a pizza place...5 STARS!! If u go to sitka, do not miss out on a chance to drink some in house brewed beer...my review of the Harbor Mountain Brewey will be up in a couple minutes as well. Very cool spot.

Finished hiking the Indian river trail up to the waterfall and decided I deserved a beer and some food. Went in to the brewery in the same building and got a great hazy and couldn't help but check out what the amazing smell was. It was so hard to decide on a pizza with all there amazing options. I ended up getting the milk and honey and boy did it hit the spot. Good price for a high quality pizza that came out within ten minutes. I would love to go back and try all of the options.

Excellent pizza shop attached to a brewery. Quick walk from the cruise terminal and definitely worth a visit.

I was in Sitka for work, and Spiderman 3 was coming out. I cannot think of a better way to see this fun-as-hell movie! The sound was LOUD (I seriously thought there was a vibration motor in my seat, there was not) and the crowd was boisterous and lively. After never-ending COVIDIA, I don't even know when the last time I heard cheering in a theatre was but...I never knew how much I missed it! If I was the type to be sentimental about material...I would savor this hand-ripped movie ticket! Just beware of the mean, black German Shepherd in the truck bed outside. He was there multiple nights while I was in Sitka, I'm assuming he belongs to an employee....or maybe a truly rabid Spiderman fan!

The most incredible spot, we came here twice in a row and wanted to visit again for a third dinner,…read morebut they were closed for the day. Let me tell you something....... THE YUZU MISO COD!!! WOW! Easily one of the best things I've ever eaten. Cooked to actual perfection, the most delicate and soft flakes, infused with (not overly sweet) glaze. I'm like daydreaming just thinking about it. Every bite. I was floored. Even by the last few bites, I was still so impressed, it might as well have been the first. And that broccolini had phenomenal flavor/texture. Oh, and the savory butter board focaccia has ruined all other bread/butter for me. I fear I'll never be the same. On par with the food, Beak is community-driven, centering people, values, and quality, locally sourced ingredients. It was awesome to see where the main dishes were sourced from, right there on the menu (all Alaskan groups or local Sitka cooperatives!). My gosh, it makes a difference, and each bite is even more special. If you have a moment, I'd really encourage checking out their website and reading through the 'About' section. You'll fall even more head-over-heels in love with this place. Beak is the model for the future we need. Each staff member we interacted with was 10/10 stellar. They were beaming when talking about the owner/chef and how much they loved working there. Beak is gratuity-free (non-tipping), and any place that pays its staff a living wage gets extra points in my book! Any tips go to staff-selected charities/causes in the area. I'll argue with anyone: the pricing is awesome. Like.. actually take a second and think about it: - LOCAL ingredients.. that means great quality, AND you're supporting local communities (and they're *locally-run* ones too, I really can't emphasize this enough... **especially** if you're coming here as a tourist, you better be actively trying to find ways to support the community) - Gratuity-free/included in pricing!! - And, oh yeah, it's like the best bite of food I've had in my life. We don't even need to compare on relativity because Beak speaks for itself, but if you really want to go there -- live in any other coastal city, and you'll realize that it's a steal. Like it's actually bonkers. No one's doing this. I doubt anyone reads this far on a Yelp review, but even if I'm shouting into the void, it'll be in praise for Beak. Someone call the tire man, Chef Renee deserves her star!

It was our first time for white king salmon for both of us. We split a massaged kale salad, and I have to say I am not the biggest fan of kale, but this "tasted like Christmas". Very enjoyable. As if that were not enough, and it normally would have been, it was also strongly suggested that we get a cup of the creamy house salmon chowder. That one was perfection. I would probably eat her once, if not twice, a week if I lived in Sitka. On the second time around, we brought a friend who also fell in love with the food and vibe. I tried the duck fat & huckleberry dessert. I love duck fat in general, so I expected it to be very good, and it was even better than that. I believe it was a version of Akutaq. They also served the version with vegetable fat. I deeply enjoyed mine. I will definitely come back here should I make it back to Sitka again.
