I first went to see Dr. Calvo, August 2025 to be evaluated for a Macular Pucker surgery. Dr. Calvo was highly recommended to me by a friend. He explained the procedure to me very clearly and listened to all of my concerns. I have not had the procedure yet because I have other health concerns that I must address first. I hope to get the procedure done within the next few months. I am very nervous, but I really feel that Dr. Calvo will take good care of me. Also, the office staff was exceptional. read more

Made appt, that seemed pretty good except no one followed up about the insurance question. Did get what appeared to be a reminder, call was a little weird and person was kinda short with me, but okay...at the appt I was asked for an insurance card, was not told they needed it since they had insurance info from referral but fortunately I had a copy. Was asked if I had a chance to fill out the online forms...nope...no information or email telling me about it. Filled out pile of forms for them. On one form they let you know you will be charged $25 if you miss an appointment with no mention of compensation if they miss, kinda one sided. Guess their time is more valuable than mine. So after all that I was called in 10 mins after my appt time and after another person who had an appointment after mine. That is how everything started. So I was under the impression I was just getting a quick eye photo (as with my dr in CA) not a full blown, check everything exam. A tech called me and took me back to an exam room. He was courteous, professional, friendly, informative...did I miss anything in my description...this was perhaps the most therough eye exam I have ever had. Totally impressed. The excellence continued with the Dr. again, same descriptors. I left with the feeling that they are outstanding at what they do and had my best interest/eyesight as their goal. Answered questions, explained stuff...great. What they could have done better; Follow up regarding insurance Told me it was a full exam not just photo Told me to bring my glasses Would have been nice to have had my glasses since they checked my eyesight and I could have found out if they were still correct or how far off. Only real regret. But all in all a great visit. Will see them again next year. read more

Waiting for my husband, so had some time to look around. The reception area could use a cleaning, the chairs are very dirty, the bathroom trash was overflowing, walls were dirty, it was stinky, and a tile was chipped off near the front desk. I've been the recipient for several years of excellent retinal care with the Meadows Eye clinic(s). Primarily under the care of Dr Alex Amram, but recently I required emergency retinal surgery to repair a detached retina, via Dr Calvo. Following an exam this past Monday, I was smoothly scheduled for surgery at Sunrise Hospital on Wednesday morning and just completed a post surgical evaluation today...the Meadows Eye clinic is one compassionate, smooth running medical team. My first visit was a disaster but I didn't find out til next day when a prescription for an eye infection and dry eye wasn't completed and called in. The office made two files under my name so deleted my eye scans, eye pressure (18) and dilation. Not my fault and it's a nearly two hour process. The dilation is a process that is uncomfortable and affects one's vision the rest of the day and evening. Why would I repeat it because they deleted half my visit. I am simply glad I didn't get medical treatment there for the wrong eye! read more

Meadows is about the money, period. I wrote a longer review on Google. And YES, my reviews are real. Call Meadows as a new patient, you will see. They will immediately demand your payment information/ your insurance information. That is their focus. Their focus is not on helping you. Imagine a Meadows family member going into a 5 star restaurant, or them buying another BMW or Mercedes --- and them being asked how they were going to pay, before they even decided on what they wanted! The Meadows royalty would not like that at all. Find an eyecare provider that actually is focused on you, and helping you. Not one like Meadows that cares only about how they're getting paid. read more

I was in the waiting room for 2.5 hours. They called me in from the waiting room to wait in a ANOTHER waiting room. The exam and speaking to Dr. Lee himself took 15 minutes. Dr. Lee was rushing me and didn't answer most of my questions. No apologies for the ridiculous wait and I truly felt like he didn't care at all about me as a patient. I left after paying $250 with no explanation to what's been going on with my eyes. read more

Went for my yearly appointment, which was at 1:20 in the afternoon. I checked in at 1:05 and told the desk I was there early. No real acknowledgement aside from being told that I needed to make my co-payment at that time which I did. After waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time, I inquired at the desk as to possible time I might be seen. I was told that there was still another person in front of me and I asked how long I might wait before that person went in and until I might be called. Would it possibly be another 20 minutes or longer? No explanation so I asked if I might cancel my appointment and get a refund/credit for the copay I had to make before seeing the doctor. I had someone drive me to the office and was on a time schedule but could see I would go way beyond the time. Ok, she said and types away and calls someone and then says it's done. Can I please have a receipt, No she says billing will call you. I have missed 2 calls from someone but not quite sure who, with a message to call them back. I have tried atleast 5 times but no live person answers. Have I seen a credit for my copay, No. Will I ever go back to Meadows? NO DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY $$ unless you have seen a doctor first. And if you need to see someone at your appointed time, go else where, unless you have no other life the rest of the day. read more

they removed handicap van signage and only a couple of handicap slots can be seen due to no clear markings. a few handicap veterans had to park around the other side of the building near other businesses. total violations of laws from local to national. non caring. the van accessible portion of the signs to south of the door. are gone not the whole sign and lines need cleaning or repainting. read more

Had a follow up appointment at 9:10am this morning. I was 15 minutes early. At 9:40am I followed up with the front desk to see when I might be seen. So far 3-4 people had been called up. "There are a few ahead of you". How many are a few? "5 people." So, I calculated in my head that it could take another 30-45 minutes until I would be seen. I expressed my displeasure with the front desk staff, asked to reschedule, then decided I would look for another Eye doctor. "We tell all our patients that waiting time can be up to 90 minutes." Well, I wasn't told that this could have been an option, otherwise I wouldn't have driven out to Meadows Eye for 30 minutes. I think this is disrespectful of our time. Why make an appointment if you can't keep your end of the bargain? A restaurant wouldn't keep my table open if I show up an hour or 90 minutes late. I am sorry, I am self-employed and think this is extremely bad customer service. read more

Very unprofessional. They book so many people.. yet they have no room to examine them, no doctors.. However.. the phone operator tells everyone, SURE.. we're available, morning or afternoon.. Then you go there and you wait for 2 and half hours. Clearly, they only care to book patients. Never again. read more

Dr Saboori and his staff are wonderful! They are friendly and professional. I was concerned that my eyesight was getting worse very quickly and that newly prescribed medications or cataracts were to blame. I was taken on time for my appointment, had all the necessary tests done with modern clean equipment, and was told that I didn't need to worry about anything. He did not push for unnecessary surgery like another, popular, opthalmologist had tried to do 3 years ago. Luckily my insurance wouldn't pay for the surgical center she owns and uses or my vision may have been far worse than today. I recommend this practice and Dr Saboori highly and happily read more

Great place and good doctors but my appointment was at 3pm, I had to wait until 4:45 to finely see the doctor.

I called Meadows on East Desert inn not because I was having problems, but because (1) they had just moved in the area and I have Glaucoma; (2) because I needed a routine check: (3) I never complained about any problem on the first visit. But Dr Yang was informed that I had Glaucoma and I went there under the impression that he was a Glaucoma specialist. Only to learn that he was an Ophthalmologists, when I called to make my second appointment when I felt a granular or hair like particle in my right eye. I requested requested a Glaucoma specialist. Dr Yang never informed me or referred me to a glaucoma specialist. He asked my to see a surgeon because he saw some on the front of my eye. I thought why a surgeon. Yes i have a brown spot on my eye that has been there since i have known "me" many doctors have questioned if but no one could answer it besides it did not bother me. Some doctors that thinks that it could be a birthmark. i found many errors in Dr Yang's report that I feel portrays me as a lame old lady. Never did Dr Yang feel it necessary to ask who I was seeing prior to my visit or did he refer me to their Glaucoma Specialist. For the most part the staff present well. Which brings me to my second visit at Meadows with Dr Benjamin Lee on 09/29/2023. I went into the office because my eye felt like a granular or a hair in my right eye on the 28th of October, i begged for an appointment. The young lady was generous to give me on. It was not the week before as stated in the Lee report. A great young man did the field testing and other test. Dr Lee never discussed any of the test, I was so taken when the first thin he said that my cornea was a little swollen. Never hearing a swollen cornea, I asked Dr. Lee could cause a swollen cornea, his respond was you are old. I asked him to define old he said 65 years and older. I said okay, he explained that he was going to put me on Muro. Thank God I did not walk out thinking that I was suffering for my eye issues because I am old. I say to Dr, Lee and Dr Yang, you are very young and I love people especially young people. It is a wrong place to start. Dr. Lee, you betrayed characteristic of someone is raciest, do not like dark skin people or the aging. Therefore can change that energy to one more positive. I found him to be extremely professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and concerns. He put me at ease. His patience was so much appreciated. I first went to another retina specialist in Henderson that was recommended by my optometrist. When I got there, the waiting room was packed, one guy was even asleep. There was no reception staff; instead you had to check in on a computer screen which already had 3 people in line entering their complete medical histories. But I digress. I turned around and walked out. I asked my optometrist to write me a referral to Meadows Eye instead, based on the yelp reviews. I was not disappointed! I have seen Dr. Amran at both the Henderson and Summerlin offices. The waiting rooms and offices are pleasant and attractive. The reception staff at both locations were pleasant and attentive. I never have to wait long (I've already been there several times for retina laser procedures); they get you right in at the appointment time. On one occasion I was concerned as the number of floaters seemed to increase rather than decrease (this was my condition and not due to their treatment). I called and they got me in that same day, within hours. The laser treatments were effective. Medical side bar: the results are not always immediate if you are having floaters and white flashes treated. Be patient while your eyes heal. read more

Run don't walk. I have been in healthcare for many years and usually will defend healthcare professionals to the end but had to write this review because care and regard for patients is so poor. The care we initially received was good when Dr.Diehl was there but perhaps he figured it out and moved back to his old practice. This simple follow up visit one year + post surgery took over 2 hours with many people in the waiting room all complaining of the same! Even one poor lady was 1st day post op sitting there for hours and she obviously did not feel well! No one ever came in to update people. There was about 15 minutes of taking pictures and doing exam by staff with the rest shuffling between rooms and waiting rooms to sit and wait. No one was calling future appointments to tell them how late they were. The worst was the call afterwards from manager Ana who kept defending their poor office management instead of doing what every good manager would say/do. "I'm sorry that you experienced less from us. We will look at this and see if there isn't something else we can do to improve". It's that simple. Instead I received a lecture that they tell all their patients to expect to be there for 1-2 hours. If that was the case, the waiting room would not have been full of upset people all sharing names of other eye doctors/practices that they were going to switch to as they had been treated so poorly. In defense, we have gone before to the Smoke Ranch Rd office and did not have issue but Ana assured me they run all the offices the same with 1-2 hour wait times the normal! Perhaps our better experience previously at Smoke Ranch Road was because of Dr. Diehl and he is now gone. All Dr. Saboori had to say when he arrived in the room was to keep saying he was a glaucoma specialist, didn't even really examine my husband's eyes but instead said to come back in four months for another test they failed to do while we sat there for two hours! I understand all too well that all offices can have a bad day, but the response of the staff and office manager confirmed that unfortunately this is their normal disrespect of patients. I can't say enough about the customer service and kindness that you receive here. I woke up and saw black dots in my right eye, I believe they're called floaters. I called multiple places and not One could get me in for an emergency visit as I feared I might have retinal detachment. From the second they answered the phone they were courteous, calming, and extremely accommodating! They got me in within the hour and as there were other people in the waiting Room I only had to wait less than a minute before they called me back! I can't say enough about this place! I will definitely be coming back for annual visits, thank you so much guys! ( And I don't have retinal detachment, never Google anything. Ever lol‍) read more

I have retinal tears in both eyes so I have to get them checked yearly. The doctor I saw was fantastic! He checked my eyes for any new tears and he explained everything to me. Thankfully, I don't have any new problems with my eyes and did not have to get them lasered again. I highly recommend this office for any of your complicated vision needs. First time having a stye removed. Went here because of their high reviews. The doctor had no bedside manner. I was reclined on the chair as the Dr started bringing all these needles and tools up to my face. I had to stop ask him every time what he was about to do or what he was doing since it was very painful and he had NEEDLES AND METAL OBJECTS scraping my eye. Talking to your patient and letting them know what is going on is not to much to ask, especially when you're touching someone eyes. After completion, my eye was covered and I was sent home. When I removed the patch, I notice that part of the stye was still there so I called the office. They assured me that it was just swelling from the medication. Well, it's been a month and a half now and that style is still there and still noticeable. Adding insult to injury I received a $300 bill from them. Now they want me to go back to do the procedure all over again. No thank you. I will take my money and stye to a professional place who knows what they're doing and not just trying to gouge their patients for money by doing a procedure incorrectly so that they can charge them twice. read more

My appointment was at 3:40p. I didn't get called in to see the doctor until 6:15p. The worst experience ever. The lady at the desk lied and told several patients that the doctor's appointment is a total of two hours including wait time. She was very rude. I've been there twice before, and you don't sit in the wait room for well over two hours. It was horrible. I don't know if I will go back. I can't endure that. However, the doctor is nice. The so called manager who commented below is an absolute liar. I've been a patient of Dr Gunn since last year. My appt was at 3:40 on May 18 with Dr Gunn. I went to meadows for a comprehensive eye exam. As I'm getting older my eye health is important. I saw Dr Diel and his tech Alex. They were both personable, friendly and very skilled at their craft. They completed a full exam and explained everything from the testing to the result. Dr Diel is obviously a very skilled Dr and I would recommend him to anyone. Terrible. I realized mid December that one of my retina's had become detached. My wife got on line and checked out eye surgeons. Base on the reviews she saw we called this place and were able to get an appointment. I was examined by Dr. Alec Amram. He confirmed it was detached and scheduled me for surgery. He said it went well and asked me to come by his office the next day for him to look again. I did that. Then he had me come back in a week. I did that. Then he had me come by in a month. I did that. Then two months. I did that. At that time he said it did not work and he would have to do it again. WHAT! Besides the misery I had gone through my insurance company had paid out over $65,000 to doctors and the hospital and I had paid over $2,600 out of pocket. Do it again? I felt I was a guinea pig. I will be looking for someone else to do it correctly. read more

I am very impressed with this office. At first I was apprehensive because I didn't speak to anyone about my visit and they requested payment upfront. Dr. Gunn was very patient and really spent quality time listening to my request. Within 15 minutes he was able to pinpoint exactly what we needed to do to improve my condition. He didn't attempt to sell me any services or surgery I didn't need and was honest and upfront about what the options were for me. I'm coming back in a few weeks for a follow up. I've worn glasses my entire life. I've seen more eye doctors then I can count. I Highly recommend this office for your vision needs. read more

After my 2nd Pfizer shot in April 2021, within 10 mins the left side of my face numbed up. Within a matter of days my vision failed in both eyes. I have corneal transplants and the graphs failed. Since no special groups were tested no one knew what medical injuries would happen. I'm saying this because I developed angular glaucoma in my left eye and required a right cornea transplant. Dr Saboori who specializes with glaucoma and Dr. Gunn with the retina worked on my medical injuries and restored my sight back to pre scamdemic days. Anyone with any type of transplant should not get these genetic shots. If anyone has eye difficulties do not hesitate to use meadow eyes. The office staff, technicians, equipment and doctors are excellent. I dont carecwhat the politicians say, the fbi or doj. Never got any boosters and will never submit to any of these shots again.
